Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
Such perfect timing! Today is such an awesome and emotional day for me. I had bad credit so it was hard to rent a place on my own but that's behind me. I now have good credit and was finally able to rent a place all on my own. That means no more roommates... I now can cam with or without audio as I choose and work whenever I please without anxiety. I feel like a big girl moving up in the world. I am so thankful for everything for which has taught me to take responsibility for my own life. I feel so free and empowered. I cried happy tears!

Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
A while back I discovered that I'm owed months and months of back-pay from a child tax credit that I had somehow overlooked. When I get the money in a couple weeks I'm taking it to the bank and paying off my car loan IN FULL. Woohoo!
Also I just found out that my parents will NOT be visiting for Canadian Thanksgiving. That means I can work through the weekend and keep collecting cold hard $$$.

As someone who is raising a child WITHOUT child support this offends me. You are his mother- if you are not raising him you should be paying child support. I'm sure who ever is actually raising him will probably be helping him with college. If a dad came on here and posted this post we would all be jumping on them. I'm disgusted with this post on so many levels. You are his MOTHER. It stopped being about "you" the moment you had a child. This whole post makes me sick and I feel awful for your sons.

Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
Oh dear, why so hostile? It is my understanding that anonymous camgirl have always been supporting and raising her children. Now that they are no longer underage she doesn't have to support them if she chooses. It's her life, her choice. Who are you to judge?!

Do you have children Marina? I didn't think so.
It is just so upsetting to me that someone would have 2 children…and then not raise them (I am assuming this because she is paying child support)---and then start a thread celebrating that she doesn't have to contribute to their life anymore. I feel terribly for her children that they were such a "burden" on her that she couldn't go on "vacation". I wonder how their Dad felt (or whoever was raising them) while she got to live her life and just send a check. So gross. So selfish.

Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
What does not having children have anything to do with having empathy and understanding? Have you not read her posts? She has been raising and supporting her children. There are no longer underage. Have made sacrifices. You made it sound like she's abandoning them.
I noticed you don't post much but when you do, your posts are always very judgmental and troll-ish!

^^ You are not a mother and you'll never understand unless you were one. I have said what I needed to say and I will not be responding again.

Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
^^^ I must admit i dont understand her situation with the child support, is confusing to me from what i have read in between in her posts but as i dont really know the situation i try not to comment or judge on it. I myself raised a child with out child support & was very difficult, now he is 20 & i help & support him with college fees & expenses, he lives with me & he will be here until he is able to get and afford his own place, no matter how old he will be if he asks for help i will offer if i can. Not everyone is able or willing to be a dedicated parent, pls dont take offense on this girls, i talk as a general matter.
To stay on the subject, my great news is: i sorted out my medical insurance situation, i am soo happy to be able to take care of my health issues now, yay!!!

I can see both sides...
My husband has to pay child support for his daughter, and his ex wife makes sure to make his life and his interaction/access to his daughter as absolutely difficult as possible. She also clearly does not use the money for their daughter, which is a long story but trust me... she goes "without" while her mother buys herself new stuff left and right. We would much, much, much rather have his daughter living in our home and fully support her financially rather than give away shopping money to his ex wife every month.
Also, just because someone pays child support or their child doesn't live in their home, doesn't mean they don't help raise them to the best ability that the ex or person who the child lives with will allow. Many times the person in possession of the child makes the other persons life a living hell, and uses the child to do so.
So ya know, we don't know her personal situation at all. It comes off kinda bad on the surface, but we don't know the story. I for one will be happy for the day my husband and I can quit paying child support and start giving the financial help directly to his daughter instead. As it stands now, we can't afford to pay child support PLUS directly give his daughter money for things, because child support rates are INSANE in most states.

Re: Oh happy day --- good news thread
Excuse me?? You are way out of line. You don't even know my story.. here let me tell you MY STORY!.. I have two sons.. I raised my oldest from age 3 WITHOUT child support, I raised my 2nd son from age 3-13 WITH child support.. he then went to go live with his dad. All the while I have been supporting the 1st son ALL BY MYSELF.. while paying child support for the 2nd son.. 2nd son just turned 18 and he will be returning BACK to my house to start college when he is finished with high school this year.. so I will have 2 COLLEGE students I will be supporting all by myself.. so you are way off base.. I have been doing all this by myself for the last 15 yrs.. I am so thankful that I am getting a break in life finally without ever getting any help from men.. and furthermore .. I paid child support and drove 400 miles roundtrip every single month and paid for cell phone, backpacks, track shoes and new shoes for school and any other extra things I have not mentioned... so you need to BACK THE HELL OFF and apologize!!
