Re: Client retention tactics
Honestly so far I've had more trouble getting RID OF undesirable regulars that keeping desirable ones. The one regular I was really sad to lose, I lost because his wife found picture of one of the waitress's cleavage on his phone and got wise to his strip club trips. One I'm trying to get rid of because, since he's bought me gifts, he now thinks he's entitled to OTC and to not spending as much money on me ITC as he used to. I'm not too good at ignoring/telling people to get lost, though.
That said, it seems to me like every guy is different. I have some regulars who I know will appreciate it if I see them before they see me, come up smiling and acting so happy to see them every time. I have others who get turned on if I ignore them for a while an do dances for other guys, make them wait for my attention, etc. I will always remember names and important things customers told me about last time, though, so I can ask them how such and such went, or if he enjoyed some weekend plans he'd told me about before, etc. I also always try to have something exciting I did recently I can tell them about, even if I'm making it up. Like maybe if I've been dreaming about taking a trip to the beach I'll just make up a trip that I took and tell them about it. It's good conversation and makes me sound more interesting, anyway, I figure.
I don't actually really take trips, though... I wonder if it would work to bring regulars fake "souvenirs" from these trips haha. Just like, shot glasses or post cards or something I could order and say I got from such and such place.
Re: Client retention tactics
God, I would never spend my money on any customer, especially a regular. Defeats the purpose. I get bored of regulars unless they pay me stacks often.
Re: Client retention tactics

Whoa whoa whoa, that's how you ask for replies?
We have plenty of hustle... And many of us learned the hard way. Be glad you have this forum as a resource. Replies can take time. Run a search.
Re: Client retention tactics
^Yeah, I think the lack of replies is mostly because many ladies have already shared their client/regular retention tactics on here, and it seems pointless to write them out again.
Re: Client retention tactics
If they don't come in and spend on me, I stop talking to them. Seems to be working alright so far.

I think you're really worrying waaaaaay too much abt this. By 'client retention' you mean, 'keep em coming in & spending on me' right? Well there is plenty of advice here on the subj, that's kinda what this rather extensive subforum is for. Sry we aren't all falling over ourselves to do your legwork for you.
That said, 'client retention' is a bit of a misnomer since you can't really control what your clients do, or how long their interest in you will last. Sm will lose interest in you thru simple boredom, not thru anything you personally did or didn't do. One observation that's been made here is that it's largely abt being in the right place, at the right time, when the right customer is in the right mood, to gain a reliable, well-spending regular. Another suggestion I've seen on here is to nvr rely on a single customer for smtg like 20-25% of your income. My point here is not too worry too much abt 'retaining' current clients so much as gaining new ones. I'd focus more on appealing to the broadest customer base that you can, rather than just trying to isolate a handful of customers & turn them into regulars. No client is worth that much energy.
Re: Client retention tactics
I'm not sure why you'd want to work so hard to try to keep a client who is bored and looking to move on. It's easier just to find new customers. I've got a few long term regulars, but they seem to visit less frequently as the months and years go on. I have one customer who comes in almost every week and spends consistently. Aside from him, all the others eventually want OTC. My OTC time has a price, so it is rare that they are willing to take me up on the offer.
Then there are the regulars who think they are my boyfriend and start demanding things from me. I have to "break up" with them and tell them I can't dance for them any longer. Sometimes I get tired of my regulars and send them on their way.
I guess this comes down to you working out how you want to do your own thing. If you already have a regular schedule and a contact list of clients, it should be pretty easy to call/text your customers before work and have at least one show up and make your day.
