Stripper hair without heat styling?
Hey ladies... I'm not really a hair/makeup person, but I know enough to get by. Usually I just put moroccanoil in my hair when it's wet, let it air dry, and then flat iron it after putting on some heat protecting spray. Lately though, I've been picking up more shifts and my hair is getting damaged from all the heat. My hair is very thick and wavy/curly (sometimes frizzy) so I really can't work without styling it. Has anyone figured out some great products/techniques to get either straight or frizz-free beach wavy stripper hair without completely frying it?

You might want to look into a keratin treatment. It's spendy, but will last for a few months and will help keep your hair sleek and low-maintenance.

I disagree (respectfully!) This will give you straighter hair....for a while, However, more than likely you will still need to flat iron to get the result you want AND these treatments damage your hair. Yes even the newer ones without the formaldehyde. Look up hair wrapping or heatless straight hair on youtube. This is what I have done for the past 4 years. I haven't blow dryed or used a flat iron (well maybe a couple touchups here and there) in all this time.

I did a little tutorial on here about this, I can post it later, as I'm leaving out soon..it involves John Frieda 3 day straight product.
Here ya go, found it: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...+straightening

I'd like to add frizzy hair can be a result of dehydration. It's reaching up into the air to absorb moisture. Try a hot oil treatment before washing and use a shampoo that does not strip your hair so much. I would suggest using a detox if your hair is not oily. If it is, add lemon juice & 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to help balance your hair's ph levels. If you're looking for super straight hair, you may want to wrap it like a cone everynight and put a scarf on top to prolong your straight style, then wash every 2-3 days which is healthier, or bring your curls to full health by a few masks or deep conditioning treatments if your curl pattern has been warped from the flat ironing.

Also pin curls to wear overnight, just style it while it's damp so it holds the style longer and it's more comfortable to sleep on.

I would avoid putting the oil in before straightening. Just use a heat protector or some sort of general styling product. If you still have some frizzy hair after you straighten, then touch it up with the tiniest bit of the oil. Oil and heat can lead to huge damage.

This was the best video on youtube I could find about straightening your hair without heat. She uses coconut oil, spray bottle w/ water, terrycloth spa headband, du-rag, comb, flat brush, and a bristle brush, as well as metal duckbill clips. Alot of materials for this, but it seems worth it. Anyone try something like this?
