Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
I didn't really see if this is explicitly a forum for women or not, but here's hoping that it isn't. I've been camming for the last two months and it has been a fun experience so far. I'm trying to learn more and figure out how to improve my business. Do you think that the environment for male models is very different than the environment for female models? I just started browsing this forum today and it seems like it is a great resource. I hope the advice I am finding is applicable to my situation.
EDIT: Whoops, just figured out that the industry section is restricted to female members. Oh well. I guess this is what it's like to be a woman in many other industries so I shouldn't be too bothered.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
This site is primarily for women in the industry, but I've nvr seen anything to indicate that male dancers & camguys are explicity unwelcome. We just don't get a lot of non-customer guys here. If you're able to access the camming section, I don't see why you shouldn't take advantage of the wealth of info there.

Welcome to SW! Put in your signature that you're a male cammer and you should be fine.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
It would be nice to hear a guy's perspective on a few things. Welcome!
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
Do you strip or are you a webcam model? We have had a few guys who cam on the boards here and there.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
It's not that male strippers are unwelcome here, it's just that the site is geared towards women, so although a male stripper will pop in every few months, they rarely stay long or post much, and there tends to only be one at a time. There's just less of a community feel for male strippers, and the whole point of this forum is to be an online community -- hard to get that when you're the only one here. Male stripping is also very different from the female stripping experience, so you won't find much (if any) relevant information or advice on here.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
Don't let it get to you. I've been a stripclub industry veteran for 15 years and a SW member for almost as long, and I cannot post in the 'pink' industry areas either. So I never read them, not for many years--what's the point? But maybe you won't be quite so jaded about it, and who knows you might pick up some pointers by simply reading.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
I just do camming, right now. I don't think I have the personality for face-to-face stripping, but I'm not opposed to other kinds of sex work. So far I've just tried Chaturbate and Streamate, with Chaturbate being my preferred site. I definitely don't think I'm anywhere near maximizing my earning potential as so far I've just been doing a lot of experimenting with different approaches, payment models, and styles to see what works best for me. Time to read up and refocus.
Well, I wouldn't expect too many men to post much when they're prohibited from posting in the main section of the forums. Ah well. I'm sure I can learn plenty without opening my mouth.
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
They don't pop in too often for any objections to be raised. Welcome anyways!
Re: Male strippers aren't unwelcome here, right?
You might try Nitrflirt also - and I think flirt4free had a pretty strong males section a couple of years ago - I havent been on the site for quite awhile so that might not be accurate anymore - they had a forum for their cammers too that was pretty cool/informative
and welcome
