I know dancers at clubs get 1099 forms too.
I work at a parlour, aside from my real first name they don't ask for anything else.
Sorry hun, I have never done the agency thing. Credit card payment and reciepts sounds odd... The client is never meant to get your real deets.
Maybe pm Minniesoporno the mod of this section? She has experience w agencies
a legit agency will get that information - my city requires a license so you have to provide even more - and the client will not get your real info from using a credit card - they have to account for that money on their books so they want you to pay taxes on your part
Makes sense. Thank you for clarifying.
Where I live, they don't issue 1099's or require a license to work. I have worked in different massage parlours and sometimes they ask for a piece of identity just to make sure I am of legal age and quickly give it back to me. I've had one upscale place where the manager made a photocopy of my ID card because she wants to know who she hires, but that is all, nothing that could tie my name to the sex industry, I did not sign any forms and nobody ever asked for my SS card.
Paper work is really not common in my area. I don't think any club or massage parlour in my city make the girls sign any papers to work, but one place did try to make me sign a "contract" with my real name. It was a paper with the rules of the parlor, and one sentence stating that we only give body rubs. However, it was a parlor where girls are alllowed to offer full-service and owners encourage it, I guess it was to protect their asses in case any bust occurs, so they could pretend they didn't know about it and the contract says only body rubs are allowed. I told the guy I wasn't comfortable signing with my full name, apparently it was the only time a girl refused to sign lol. I guess he thought I was hot and would bring them money so he allowed me to sign with my working name. I only worked because a girl told me the parlour is very busy and it's possible for girls who don't offer full-service to make a lot of money, but I only lasted a couple of weeks. I really didn't like the place, the girls and the clients it attracts.
Whatever they're calling themselves (probably for legal reasons) they're definitely an agency. Chill out, unless you're working in a dodgy brothel where the girls have more STDs than teeth it's pretty standard for them to make a copy of your ID so they can prove you're not a minor (it's the same in strip clubs). Of course it feels odd to give your real details to someone in any sector of the sex industry. The forms are so they can pay you. Do your tax or you'll get in trouble with the IRS. Get an accountant if you can't figure it out.
Yes. Eros requires you to send a photo of your DL/passport and a photo of you holding it up to your face so it can verify it is you. Also, if you want to be 'Eros verified', they want a photo or two of your face/real self to 'verify' for customers that your photos are really you. I don't remember them needing your SSN though, I could be wrong. My #1 suggestion with Eros, or any other related site (this is a little off topic from your question), is use Vanilla visa prepaid gift cards to pay for your advertising so it isn't traceable back to your bank account.
Sounds like a tax thing. The agency wants to cover themselves as completely as possible. So they will keep as much vanilla paperwork as possible. LE has been knowing to go through as many backdoors as they need to to bust agencies, including tax evasion. I'm sure in all that paperwork you signed one of them said you won't be having any sexual contact of any kind. The ID is to prove you're not a minor.
Everything is probably on the up and up as much as any escort service can be in the US.
yep - all of these smart ladies covered it all
Nope! Really, all that happens is you get a little "seal" on your eros ad that says eros verified so the customer thinks that eros verified you are you in your photos. Which, let me tell you, in my area, a) it's not really important... I've never had a lack of traffic because I wasn't "eros verified" and b) I see ads on eros all the time where I KNOW for SURE the photos they have on their ad are 100% not them but eros "verified" them anyways. It's stupid.
