Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
If you can't wear makeup, you could wear a cute pair of thick framed glasses. Most of my glasses cover the scars from my removed bridge piercing, so I assume they'd do the same for you?
Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
Thanks, I have fake glasses but need to shell out for some prescription ones. I'm honestly just hoping that this heals fast so that I can start working on either getting it repierced or covering it up completely. Since I'd had it so long, my piercer told me it may not fully close so idk :(
Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
Im sorry - that sucks - i dont have a suggestion other that the glasses
Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
Ok I will tell you what I do, I have plenty of facial piercings that have rejected. dermals. Some oozed before taking them out, some simply kicked out one end of the skin before I could have it removed causing more pain and ripping when removed.
I use makeup and never had a issue
I use MAC Revlon colorstay and never a issue not to mention Im face planted doggy style most the time (camgirl) I took makeup all over piercing that have either rejected or professionally removed
Im thinking if your scared of applying makeup, apply a small dot of liquid band aid let it dry then apply your makeup. not only will it keep the makeup out of the area it will keep sweat out as well
<-- drugstores
:) goodluck

hmmm it may fully close, the issue is the skin is thin in that area..
exfoliate
I can see the difference when I have piercings removed from other body parts vs my face bc I exfoliate
moisturize your face of course but also use primer before foundations if you can, they help with scars. I have 12 piercings out of my face and some replaced and you would never know it.

Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
I use Revlon Colorstay too! ^_^ Tried out your advice and did a full face of makeup after applying some liquid band aid and omg it made such a difference. Granted, yes the holes are still slightly visible but only if you look for them. And the club has lower lighting than where I took this picture. Thanks you guys for all the advice, I feel so silly for getting worked up over this now.
I think I honestly might see what happens and if my income increases before I decide to make a decision on keeping it out permanently or getting it repierced in the future.

You beat me to this ^^^^ one or a few strategically placed between & a bit above the eyes will draw attention there, & their boldness will hold the peripheral attention as well even after focus has shifted to other areas of your face. Likewise, a little bolder eye makeup if you normally do smtg more subtle will work the same way to keep attention off the healing marks, even tho they are in the same general area.
Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
I am totally down for the bolder makeup. I usually go quite bold when I'm doing it for work due to the dim lighting. The bindi idea isn't really for me, I feel that it would be cultural appropriation since there are significant religious and cultural ties to that particular adornment. Thank you for your suggestions though, I will have to play around with my makeup to see what I come up with :)

I'm not talking about appropriate the spiritual symbol from another culture, I'm talking about crystal eye makeup (the things that look like bindis) sheesh.
Re: Retiring Bridge Piercing
Sorry I wasn't aware you were talking about this style and misunderstood. Apologies.
