I've been giving men too much credit
It hit me last night. I've been talking to customers like grown up, rational human beings....when all this time I should have been acting as corny and ditzy as possible. I started throwing out the cheesiest shit I could think of last night: "ooo I've been horny ALL day today. When you touch my arm like that it makes me sooooo wet! I want to rub myself on you!" ($$$) or acting really ditzy and laughing at everything they say-whether it's funny or not. I guess I always thought customers were too smart to fall for that bullshit. I mean do they honestly think their ugly lard asses are making me horny? Do they really believe my made up stories about making out with hot girls at parties? Good god.

I've nvr been able to pull that off, unless it was w/ a totally deadpan (thus obviously joking) delivery. Think 10 Things I Hate About You 'I WANT you, I NEED you, oh baby, oh baby' Did it work for you, OP? I can't believe either that guys fall for that crap, I was reading it & thinking 'Are they really that shit-simple?!'

Girl! Yes it worked for me! I couldn't believe it either! I made $$$ last night from acting like that..Plus my hair is really light blonde now so maybe that helps? I'm just as shocked as you are, and yes, apparently they are that stupid.

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
i've been thinking of trying this, since just being nice to them, smiling, and somewhat being myself isn't working at all and isn't coming off "slutty" or "strippery" enough for them. the girls at my club who make the most money are the ones who ask how big their dicks are, or if they have erections. makes my flesh crawl to even think about saying that though, i feel like 1.) i'm gonna get laughed outta there and 2.) idk if i can even bring myself to say that without gagging
-
Re: I've been giving men too much credit
Yes. Especially if they are under 35 years. Some older guys want a little more stimulation, but not all of them. Talk about music or something else non-controversial with an older customer to see if the chat is what he's into.
I sell dances to older guys all the time because I know how to make myself sound just intelligent enough, but not more intelligent than them. ;) They still want to be smarter than a stripper.
-
Re: I've been giving men too much credit
^Haha! Well I didn't even talk about their dicks. I just talked about myself...like "Oh I was going to use my rabbit today but I didn't have time before work, so now I'm just so super horny. I want to grind on you hehheehe" It's so dumb, and so not true, but I guess that's what they want to hear? One guy was like "you're making me hard" (GAG!!) but fuck it, he got 3 dances. Just make a game out of it. Honestly it took less out of me to act like an idiot than to try to have a real conversation cause I just don't give a fuck about their lives.

oh i know, you're totally right..they're such dipshits

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
It totally depends on the guy, but I find that I make a ton of money when I act stupid/horny. I put on this high pitched girly little voice, and I get really excited about everything the guy says. "Oh my god, you're a doctor? Woooow! You must, like, be really smart. Smart guys get me SO turned on..." You really have to pick the guys that'll like it though. Usually the younger the guy and the bigger the ego (young professional, showy watches/shoes, etc) the more they love the dumb girl act. I never thought that stuff would work for me because I'm very girl next door ish, but it works.

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
As I was reading this with a semi-horrified look on my face (I'm still in denial that this hustle is the fastest way to a wallet), it started to dawn on me that we're living in an era of porn. Not magazine porn - video porn. Pretty much every porno I've watched has been super fake. The dialogue, the models' appearances / makeup, the moans and groans, the unrealistic sex positions, etc. And guys eat that shit up! So it seems to make sense that primarily younger guys would be into women who essentially recreate those porno scenes in real life (minus the sex). Many men are exposed more to that type of interaction than to authentic interactions. They want to believe that women can come the second their bodies are touched. They want to believe that women are constantly horny, wet little fuckpuppets. The list goes on...
I'm guessing that this hustle would work better for some women than for others since men tend to group women into stereotypes based on obvious appearance differentiators. I'm thinking that the closer you resemble the stereotypical porn star (large breasts, blonde hair, heavier makeup, spinner), the better this hustle would work. I'm thinking that smaller-breasted brunettes who rock a more natural look would probably not fare so well with this hustle (it would come across as insincere and ridiculous). I'm totally just speculating though!

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
I danced as a small breasted brunette for the first five years of my career before eventually transitioning into a fake breasted blonde. In my experience you're completely correct.
I used to have to work the "girlfriend experience"/"smart stripper" hustle and build a lot of rapport before closing sales, but when I closed the sale it was usually pretty big. I also relied on regulars more. Now I can skip 90% of the conversation before making a sale, but they usually start out as a shorter VIP that I need to renew, and I don't really have (or need) regulars anymore. I seriously just giggle a lot and say sexually suggestive things now. They eat it up. In VIP rooms I've even convinced guys I'm literally having multiple orgasms just from grinding on their leg! It's absurd. I never could have gotten away with that crap as a "smart" looking stripper, but it's the most effective tactic I've ever used in renewing the room. I know a lot of you are probably thinking "EW," but to me it's more comfortable than verbally fending off genital touching.
I don't think one look/approach is necessarily more lucrative than the other, but I appreciate being able to check out mentally now, and loling at the stupidity of most customers.

ugh this is so true..which is why i don't think this hustle would ever work with me because i'm exactly that..brunette, freckles, small breasts, innocent looking. i'm afraid of being laughed out of the club, but it seems like this hustle does work sadly enough..wonder if it could be said in a more tone-downed sincere way?

Yeah I've noticed my casual partners (before I settled down) would ape scenes from porn, even positions that make no sense and things that look exciting but don't feel great. A lot of guys cope with their stresses these days via porn addiction & their reality turns into "monkey see, monkey do."
Guys are desperate to feel sexy, to feel wanted, to feel important. In the club with a few drinks in them & a hot girl in front of them, they forget the boring cold reality of their lives outside of the club (horrible job, bitch wife, ungrateful kids.) The Strip Club is a vacation from The Real World. The stripper gives them all the emotional and sexual excitement they need before they get dumped back into the parking lot of the strip club with an empty wallet.
I have noticed older customers respond better to a more "normal" acting dancer, but it's for the same reason as why the younger guys go crazy for a sexy dancer- the older man's fantasy is a young trophy girlfriend. He's already lived his "young dumb full of cum" days. He now wants a beautiful younger woman to treat him like he's important.

I think you may be right Charlie. My breasts are real and small, but I'm little all over and petite. Plus I've changed my look to be more stripper-y/porn star. I relied on the girlfriend experience hustle when I was a redhead and played this hustle as an experiment now that I'm very, very blonde-almost platinum. I definitely think porn is part of the 'why' behind it, as well as biological factors. I watched the documentary "The Science of Sex Appeal" and they were talking about how men on speed dates will think women are into them, even if they really aren't. From an evolutionary standpoint it makes sense-better to try and fail than not try at all, and thus, not procreate. Also most of the men I talked do didn't seem to have a lot of experience with women in general. Most of my customers were in their 30s-40s and were telling me that they were single/had never been married or even been in a serious relationship. They have no idea how women really operate! Haha. Oh well more $$ in my pocket. :)

This so much! I felt much less "drained" after the ditzy act than trying to build a rapport. I realized it's not the dancing or even the groping that wears me out so much in this job..it's the talking and talking and talking and TALKING! Wish I could just say "Look I don't give a fuck what your name is or where you're from. Open your wallet and I'll pretend to like you for 15 mins." Maybe I'll try that line after my break. ;)

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
I also now realized if I had played more into the stereotype of what my best customers held of me....I would have made so much more money. This is what successful dancers mean when they say they "put on the Persona" when they go into work. Men tend to be more realistic/cynical than women & don't feel bad about making assumptions about dancers b/c hey, "I'll never see you again." A dancer cannot be sensitive about the guy being a toolbag b/c there's no more going on between them but a business transaction.

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
I'm going to sum all of the above into one phrase: these men are craving a fantasy.
Is not that they're dumb, is just that they're looking for a fantasy. Those guys KNOW is all a big show.

I totally agree and this is why I sometimes watch porn before heading to work. Mostly the scenes before the fucking to see how the woman moves, the clothes she wears, and the things she says. And yes it works because most men are that simple minded once they get aroused and their dick takes over.
in real life we impress men we want long term by showing him how intelligent we are, how well we cook, our passion in life. But in the strip club to impress a man we show him how well we can move, how hot we are for him, etc. it's the complete opposite.
Once shift I cut out the fluff sh!t and only talked about sexy fantasies I had in a slow sexy' voice. And I noticed it was easier to sell VIP.
Some men are impressed with other qualities besides sexuality but they see you as girlfriend, friend, not a stripper they'd give money to in the club.

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
Omg thank you for this post! I think sometimes I do need to just pretend to dumb myself down and just act like I want nothing more than to get naked. I totally want to try this next time I go into work (or some variation of it as I do not fit the stereotypical stripper/porn star look) since you're totally right about the talking and talking and TALKING...it's exhausting! But I do think it has potential to work for small-breasted brunettes....one of the girls in my club recently talked to a guy who said "I love Asian girls -- they're always horny!! And then you wake up the morning after sex and they've ironed all your clothes! (Wtf??)"

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
Wednesday, you work nights, correct? Are your customers mostly younger then?
I have been trying to transition to more evening shifts but it's never been my game because I've always hustled the old farts and businessmen who that doesn't work so well on, and every night shift I've worked has been 90% young idiots that I hate. If this is the holy grail hustle for the young guys... I'm gonna have to try it.
Simone, I'm with you, hahah. I would feel so stupid trying to act ditzy and be totally afraid they'd see right through it.
-
Re: I've been giving men too much credit
^Yes I only work nights and most of my customers were in their 30s (I'm guessing.) One thing that helped me get started was telling a guy "I got really drunk last night and totally made out with this super hot Filipina girl." My husband is Filipino so I just flipped it and made him a girl. Lol! I got 4 dances and a half hour champagne room outta that. After that I just started making up more stupid/sexy stories to tell customers when they asked questions about me. Just start making shit up lol :) It was kinda fun and I was just laughing that they were buying the bullshit I was selling them.

Re: I've been giving men too much credit
Don't underestimate the old farts! Most like the dumb slut thing too, just less dumb than the young guys.
