If You Don't Cash Out, is it Still Taxed Income?
Hi! This is my first post, and this may be a stupid question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
I'm on extralunchmoney and haven't set up a cashing out option. I'm living with strict parents and am afraid of doing my own taxes because of mail coming to the house. Basically, I want to make the money, save it, and cash out when I know I'll be moved out in the same year. Sorry if this is a strange question!
So, will that income still be considered taxable if not cashed out?

Most checks are only valid for 90 days. It doesn't matter if you cash the checks or not, the sites you work will report what you make. You'll get a 1099. If you don't want your parents to know, why not just get direct deposit? Are you parents claiming on their tax returns?

Thanks for the reply :) I didn't set up a payout method (they offer payoneer and checks) so i'm not receiving the income. I'm an independent, I'm more worried about the mail delivered to my house is all and if I'm supposed to pay taxes on the amount I made when I haven't even set up a payout.

That's a good idea! Thank you ^_^

If you dont set up a payment options you should be able to leave your money sitting on Your ELM account almost infinitely. (make sure to keep some-what active) As long as you intend on paying taxes in the ear you receive the funds you should be alright but ELM does send you a 1099 or whatever that tax form is at the end of the year.

Legally speaking, both the webcam host and the IRS will consider any moneys earned from cam customers and paid into the camgirl's in-house webcam host account to be 'income' for the current month / year. The webcam host will report that money to the IRS as 1099 income at the end of this month, and the IRS will expect that the person who earned the money will file and pay estimated taxes and file an annual tax return.
In terms of a 'technicality', webcam hosts located outside the USA using banks also located outside the USA may not report earnings accruing into a US camgirl's in-house 'offshore' webcam host account until the money is actually transferred out of that account and across the US border. But if the webcam host is US based, or the bank holding the money for the webcam host is US based, the IRS will consider moneys paid into the camgirl's in-house account as additional taxable income as soon as the webcam host transfer to the camgirl's in-house account takes place. Thus in the latter case you aren't actually forced to transfer moneys earned out of your in-house webcam host account ... but you are forced to pay taxes on that money ( which is difficult to do if you haven't transferred out any money !!! )
