Re: How do I learn to dance?
You really learn by watching and by trial and error. When I first started I'd never danced in my life. I can't dance in normal settings, but I do have rhythm. Having rhythm definitely helps. You just need to go to the music. Go slow and be sexy. It's not completely necessary to do pole tricks or know how to twerk, but you pick up some of those skill rather quickly.
I don't have set routines, I just do moves that I know look good and that go with the beat and tempo of the song I'm dancing to.
I wouldn't suggest to "move around stage randomly". Like any dance, you want it to look graceful and with purpose. Go with the music and truly feel the movements you're making.
Yo should definitely practice at home in your free time. Watch yourself in the mirror and see how different movements look.

I would also check out some Belly Dance moves. Learning hip rolls, body rolls and snakey/ fluid movements will make you feel sexy and up your confidence. There are tons of instructional DVDs for Belly Dance, which is why I recommend it. It can also make you stand out from other girls.
If ever in doubt when dancing, just go slow (slower than you think you need to) and focus on making your movements fluid. Also, if you have a fantastic body, then sometimes you can get away with just doing a sexy transition, then posing sexy for a beat or two, and then transitioning to another pose. From a money-making perspective, customer interaction is usually the most important part of dancing anyway. So smile and make lots of eye contact.

Practice at home in front of a mirror.
Watch other girls how they dance and borrow some moves to make your own. Even look at YouTube videos for ideas. Then just keep practicing.
