Look I know you will not want to hear this BUT you must give up your sex work because once you get out there working as a social worker..You know that there would be a possibility of you losing your job. It's not fair but it probably would have a chance to happen. Just like if you were going into a profession as a lawyer,teacher,politician,cop...those types of jobs people would be in an uproar if it was found out that you would still be in the sex industry while having those types of jobs. You need to make a decision because NOTHING stays sacred forever.People will be able to find out in time.Obviously you being a social worker means more to you then working in the sex industry....or are both jobs means the same to you? You will have to let the sex jobs go because it will in the end make you lose your social worker job.....not fair but I'm sure it would happen.
Read Melonies posts about careers that require license and implications of adult work.
You could work as a social worker without a license but won't make as much as those who are licensed.
And when you apply for professional license they do background checks which will show many things including your previous work history/1099s. Since assuming you work with a webcam company like streammate MFC etc this will link your prior work history to adult entertainment industry.
If you go the route of working as a social worker without a license just know it's highly likely that people will still find out just read posts on being outed as a camgirl. And this could also impact your career.
Not to mention if you handle anything to do with molestation, rape, prostitution, or even neglect as a social worker, it could be seen as a conflict of intrest.
It would be really bad if, say you as an investigator had helped bust a child sex ring, or a couple who were molesting their foster kids, and the defense attourney just happened to find out about your alternate life.
Every case you ever were involved in could be called to question.
There is a movie out called "The Judge", with Robert Downey Jr. The situation in that movie might shed some light on what could happen.
Stacy, if you haven't already read the following thread and all of the links in it, I strongly suggest you do.

To me being a social worker is an important job, and we are lucky to have people like u who are willing to do it. Yet the pay is low. So you take another job to support yourself( that is legal), but yet you risk losing everything bc of it. It makes me sad how screwed up our society is in that regard....but we all know the real world answer to this question....you have to make a choice. If you want a career in social work...just bite the bullet and give up sex work. There are other ways to make $$ and jobs to take. It's not fair, but this is the real world.
^ Its part of the reason I stopped studying counselling, the money is very low, very low.

Unless you are licensed and have a private practice then you can set your own prices/clients but most social workers, work for government agencies or hospitals making $40k-$75k. Yes it's low for someone who wants 6 or 7 figures but it's a satisfactory salary for some people.
if you are in camming or stripping in a money area, you can most likely make this amount in adult industry.

Its about $45 g down under. I just felt that salary limited my option of starting a family, believe me money isn't the only thing I value or I would never have started the course in the first place, and my results were such that lecturers were suggesting I consider taking my masters, so I had aptitude, but I believe I can find a well paying job which fits my values and brings me satisfaction.
