Hey everyone,
My name is Mina, I'm brand-new to the exotic dancing scene; just started last night at a club in NYC. I gave it a lot of thought before taking the plunge, and I still think this could be a good thing for me, but sweet Lord after last night I'm completely exhausted and sore all over, my new manager scheduled me to work New Years Eve (so I'll have to miss a big party with friends from out of town or pay a $100 fine), and I only walked out with just over $250, which is nice, but I didn't have to pay the house fee last night, which would have pretty much halved my earnings SO I'm having second thoughts. It was a Saturday night in Manhattan just before Christmas... I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much for being such a noob, but right now it feels like an awful lot of hardship for not a huge amount of profit even under the best circumtances.
There were several men in the club last night who said I was the most beautiful girl there, that I was their favorite, no way was it my first night, etc, but these always seemed to be the ones who couldn't afford more than a dance or two?? Is this common? Do I just click with the poor ones? lol I'm not sure what to think or how to adjust my techniques to pull in more lucrative clients; any advice is more than welcome!! I also was perhaps a bit careful about who I approached because I didn't want to step on any toes as far as the other dancers go, not wanting to make enemies so early on.
Also just want to say thanks for everything already; I've been perusing these forums for weeks to get a feel for the industry and gain the confidence to take the plunge!! :)
