Paperwork is pretty basic. They will go over your contract w/ you, copy your ID/SS cards if they haven't already done so, & may or may not run a very cursory background check as well. I have had a couple clubs do this as part of their hiring process -- they just run the name from my ID & see if any warrants or felony records come up, it takes less than 5min & is not a big deal at all.
Pretty much everything else will vary by the club but there is a ton of info here to search thru & find what most likely applies to your situation. Also, it seems that a lot of brand-new girls lie abt having danced b4 in order to get hired. They will see quickly by just observing you onstage or while interacting w/ customers that you've nvr done this b4, but that fact in itself is probably not going to be a dealbreaker.
They may not go through paperwork with you, but the manager will certainly go over the club rules and prices before letting you start work. And if for some reason he doesn't, just ask. Those vary by club, and you really can't sell dances without knowing what a dance entails and how much to charge. Other than that -- your night will consist of going up on stage (the DJ will no doubt explain how the stage rotation works at your club; if he doesn't, again, just ask), talking to men, and hopefully dancing for them too!
As long gas they go over rules with me i should be fine. When he said he wouldnt be gong over anything with me i assumed it included rules and such also. Im really hopeing it wont be obvious that i have never danced before. I talked to a girl who worked there before spearking to the manager. She told me to say i have danced before and that they wouldnt check and wouldnt make me adution if i said that. and she was right, they gave me the job on the spot. While i was there i saw some girls on stage who didnt know any pole work, witch is fine. I am actually pretty good at polework so i was hoping that would make me seem like i wasnt lying. Should i just confess? or is that pointless to do now?? probably stupid i said that, i just really want to dance for that specific club.
Eh, it'll be obvious. New girls, even those who know pole tricks, just don't move as fluidly on stage, especially in transitions between pole tricks that they learned in classes. Many seasoned dancers don't do any pole tricks anyway, so those aren't really an indicator of newness. But it also doesn't matter, so you don't have to worry about fessing up or getting caught in your lie. You're hired, so just go in and make your money.
I agree with shanna.. they'll know you're new but unless you're not completely terrible & you make money they won't fire you. Just keep an eye out for what other dancers do, preferably the ones who have been there a while, and copy them. Practice dancing at home so you look a little less awkward at the club. Read a LOT of hustle hut threads. A LOT. Don't waste time sitting with guys for way too long, that's a common mistake with new dancers. Also, don't trust any customers because they'll sense you're new and take advantage of you. Play up the new girl thing and be flirty. Try not to make yourself friend-zoned (I still have this issue sometimes). Oh and don't drink too much if you do decide to drink, obviously. Good luck!
