If you had to work Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday which would you work? Which have you found most profitable?
Are you asking 'philosophically' or are you seeking advice on which shift to work? In which case we need to know your locale for starters, but most likely the answers would be in the realm of you're going to need to work the shifts in your area for awhile yourself in order to track the income.
A lot of bars have happy hour on Wednesdays, so you'll get a lot of left over drunks walking, stumbling, and crawling in late Wednesdays. Usually easy money, but they do a lot of puking, so don't wear your good shoes. Sorry to be so graphic, but I learned the hard way.
Work all 3 and see which is more lucrative for you. Profitability depends both on the club and your look/hustle with the typical clientele, so just because I do well on Tuesdays doesn't mean you will; maybe you'll make the most money on Mondays which are usually crap for me. The thing is, as long as you consistently work the same shift each week, you will eventually build yourself up some regulars and they will likely make your shifts better. Not to mention you will recognize the time wasters and other customers to avoid, freeing you up to hustle customers with actual potential.
If you're in a convention-based city, usually the guys get in Sunday or Monday so Mondays and Tuesdays I have found to be profitable since by Wednesday they're usually exhausted from meetings, and or burnt out from partying at the strip club the last two nights.
Depends on your club. At my club, I do very well on Mondays usually, but I won't work Tues/Weds. Be wary of things like happy hours and free cover promotions, usually brings in deadbeats.
I am neurotic and keep track of every shift I work and every couple months, I calculate the 2 lowest earning days and stop working them so I can put all my shifts on the better days. If you stay at a club long enough, you can try doing that as well.
Depends. Wednesday is the start to the weekend in my opinion so it can be just as crackin as a Friday or Saturday. It seems like most girls who work weekends take off Monday and Tuesday so a lot more girls come in starting Wednesday and there is more competition.
Monday and Tuesday's are dead unless the club promotes to get paying customers. Money is possible these days because less competiton. If you know how to hustle during a slow day shift then you have easier time on banking on Monday Tuesday.
I haven't danced long but I have done the best on Wednesdays. Mondays during football season suck at my club because there really isn't a place to enjoy the game. Tuesdays just seem to early in the week but Wednesday seems like it picks up.
I always enjoyed working Mondays because not many dancers worked that night, so I was usually the hottest dancer on shift, and I was often the only super-hustler working. Generally more white-collar guys would come in who just got into town on business and had nothing else to do on a Monday night. The energy was usually more relaxed, and the pickings were easy. Then again, I'm the girl who'd prefer to make $400 on a chill Monday than $600 on a crazy Saturday. The former is more sustainable IMO.
Club going up, on a Tuesday! Lol jk, I'd pick Wednesday since Thursday's are always poppin' here
I work all 3. :)
Wednesdays
I would suggest visiting your club on all three days to get a good look for yourself. You don't necessarily have to work all those days, but just stop by around the time you'd usually plan on working to see what the crowd is like.
At my club, Wednesdays are the best nights since that's "Amateur Night" and people/customers expect that night to get wild and crazy - and it usually does - so they don't like to miss Wednesdays. But, like all the ladies have said before me, it depends on your club.
I would definitely ask the wait staff when they see the most customers too. That's what I did when I first started working. I didn't want to ask the other dancers because every dancer's definition of a "good night" is different - maybe one dancer's idea of a good night is making $200 or maybe it's $800, you just never know. I feel like the waiters/bartenders would have more reliable information since they're the ones serving everyone.
Monday and Tuesday are no house so it can be profitable.
My best shifts are Friday and Saturday.
I've worked Mon-Wed but did not really see much difference, sometimes they are be good and sometimes they are be bad. I usually pick Monday because with school I'd rather go to work in the beginning or end of the week instead of having to go to work in the middle of the week.
At my club, Friday and Saturday nights are low money nights. Mon-Tues-Wed are better. We are located near a business district and lots of guys come in for lunch/dinner on week days with their work buddies. For some reason, management still likes to schedule tons of girls on Fri-Sat even though it is pretty slow at that time (everyone is downtown on the weekend nights, not in the business and industrial areas of town)
Mondays and Thursdays are always really good for me. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are alright as well. Ironically, I always do better on weeknights than I do on weekends, which is why I'm never eager to work them. I think I just do better with the chill crowd on the weeknights than with the party-type on weekends.
A lot of people around here get paid on Tuesday's, so they're consistently the busiest of the 3. Monday's I make 90% of my money 11pm-1am and there's no late fees, so I normally show up between 9 and 10. It's a nice, short shift. Wednesday's most clubs have some "happy hour" or special, I take that as a "we're slow, please give us business!" which has held true most Wednesday's I worked, only actually making ~real money~ once in a blue moon.
Like other people say, it depends on where you are. It varies city-to-city and club-to-club. The only way you can know for sure is to work all three.
