I did but once I realized I could make a whole weeks paycheck with 1-2 days of camming it made me appreciate camming a lot more. I was so tired doing both, quitting my job to cam full time is the best thing I ever did for myself financially and emotionally. Mae sure you have some savings before you quit. As long as your hourly is high enough camming to support yourself working however many hours a week your goal is I say go for it
I do hair "full time" and cam on the side. I can't never cam full time because I don't consider camming a career for me. I do it for the extra money. Before you quit your vanilla job, be absolutely sure that you can support yourself solely through camming.
I don't, but have so much respect for girls that do.
I do volunteer part time and go to school, not sure if that counts?
I did an internship around the same time I started camming. It was a little hectic. But schedules made everything better.
I did it for about 6 months and realized I could make double/triple my vanilla earnings if I just focused on camming. I was burnt out from working round the clock anyway and it was the best thing I ever did.
That being said, it is doable to do both. Just make sure you schedule an actual full day off for yourself, otherwise you'll get burnt out fast.
I used to do 8-9 hours a day vanilla office work and then 4-5 hours of camming a night plus weekends. It was too much. Now I work 5-6 hours a days 5 days a week and can focus on my other interests in life. :)
I used to work both, and just as the other ladies on here are saying... I figured out that I could more than double my income in 1-2 days from camming solely. I had a savings built up, and it was the best decision I ever made to quit the vanilla job.
When I did I worked 8 hours a day at my job (but also had a work phone that would ring constantly, and was a huge pain in the ass when camming) and I would cam during the nights for 4 to 5 hours. It was seriously exhausting and my hat is off to all the people who are doing it :)
I cammed and worked a full time job for about a year as well. The 75 hrs a week was exhausting and I agonized over the idea of becoming a full time cam model for about 6months before I took the plunge. There is something to be said about having a guaranteed paycheck/health insurance/ sick days/ paid vacation. That being said, I went full time a little over a year ago and NOW there's something to be said for being your own boss/ having total schedule flexibility/ making more than most vanilla jobs. Its not for everyone, you really have to have discipline to do well, but if you're self motivated it is fantastic.
I did before and I couldnt keep up due to health problems and crazy hours doing both.
I do, in a pretty stressful sector. I worked at a newspaper when I first started camming a year ago and that's why I couldn't really give it much effort. Now I do slightly different writing and have more free time, but I'm still extremely exhausted balancing both. But for me it's necessary..and rewarding!! I make as much camming as I do at my full time job doing much less work in hours...though we all know camming has it's own set of concerns and effort needed.
I have a lot of respect for the girls that do this full-time too.
Since we''re on the topics pf vanilla jobs, can I just say again how thankful I am for having a vanilla job that I love which pays for the majority of my bills so I won't have to cam so much?! Especially when my spirit is heavy and the last thing I wanna do is showing my body!

I second that! Although I sometimes think about how much fun it would be to quit my vanilla job, I love that camming covers my extra spending money. When I feel ugly or tired, I don't have to cam which leaves me happier to fuck. But sometimes, those early mornings at my vanilla job make me want to SCREAM!!
Worked a full-time, vanilla job in a VERY stressful and demanding field (~60 hours a week) and cammed part-time (~20 hours a week) for six months before I decided to quit my vanilla job and cam full-time. Even before I started camming part-time (and went from having no life to ABSOLUTELY NO LIFE), I realized I was just dying a slow death at my vanilla job. I was so anxious and unhappy there it was literally making me sick. So, as soon as I saw I could make better money camming, I peaced out. Still, it was one of the scariest decisions I have ever made in my life (but ultimately, one of the best, too!).
I totally agree that you should have a VERY comfortable amount of savings and a real game plan before you take the plunge. The first few months after I quit my vanilla job and cammed full-time, I had a real problem with consistency and adjusting to the idea that I was my own boss. I was working about 10 hours a week and my savings was the only thing that kept me afloat. It was weird, because I had always been an overachiever and super hard worker prior to this. I didn't expect I would struggle with my motivation to work at all. But, like I said, that's where the savings came in handy for me.
You've got to really have the drive and self-motivation necessary to be self-employed in a field where your income is 100% commission based. If you've got this, AND your current, part-time camming income provides you with some sense of security about what you are capable of making if/when you go full-time, I say do it! Camming, when taken seriously, has the potential to be a totally rewarding and $$$lucrative$$$ career move.
I work part time at a vanilla job which has been almost full time lately and I am a full time student. I love that camming is always around when I have time to pick it up and in the summer and breaks when I can work tons.
I work a full time vanilla job at the moment and I'm camming to make some extra money on the side. I'm also pretty ill a lot of the time and I'm hoping that I might be able to go down to a part time vanilla job and part time camming because full time vanilla work is wiping me out
I'm working two part-time jobs. I will be quitting one job by the end of March. I do erotic services on the side. One thing about working part-time it bit allows somewhat decent amount of time to do this work. When I do quit one of the jobs, I may just work more longer hours online, or I may find another vanilla job. The reason why I'm quitting one of the jobs over stress and conflicts reasons. My other job I love it and it used to be full time and then over budget reasons my hours got cut.
I worked a full-time vanilla job and cammed on the side until...yesterday. Yesterday was my last day of vanilla work, and now I am switching over to camming full-time. It was exhausting to do both, and nearly impossible to have any social/personal life time-wise, and I vastly prefer camming. Very excited!
I am so grateful for my vanilla job, but trying to balance camming & my job really really sucks. I just don't have the time to put in being a new cam girl, to build up my regulars & make consistent money on cam. Plus I will be starting back up with school at the end of the month, so I have no idea on how I will manage my time. I'm thinking I need to focus more on creating videos & selling content, and be happy when I can get on cam for 1 or 2 hours a couple times a week. I just feel guilty I don't have more time to dedicate to camming. But I need and appreciate my vanilla job. I Just need to to terms that this is a side hustle and that's ok.
Last time I worked a full-time job and was camming at the same time was in 2008.
Then I got fired cause of those damn co-workers acting like idiots. Now I am all about building my multiple streams of income that create leverage for me and more time freedom to explore my hobbies and take up my art and probably relearning playing the saxophone or learn a new instrument.
I'm an illustrator, animator, digital painter, comic book artist and sometimes give voice lessons , so thats as vanilla as i get- which....I guess isnt super vanilla given im still my own boss and they are fields many can flood the market with but very few do well enough to live on so that makes it sorta rare and different in its own right
