Applying in Philly
Hi ladies! So after reading all of the boards - Newbie & Hustle Hut especially, I finally went into Delilah's to apply. I'm thinking of going to Daydreams as well, but I don't love that it's nude and would prefer low contact. Basically, I've done my homework, I did read the posts about applying to D's but I would appreciate some advice/moral support. I haven't danced before, so I am nervous but ready to take the plunge! : )
I went in on Tuesday at 4pm glammed up - tasteful smokey eye with lashes, nude lip, hair done. I just modeled for 3 years, and have a pretty face, big boobs etc, and a curvy body (not fat I don't think?). The girls at the door aren't very nice, but it's not a sorority so it's ok... they gave me an application to fill out which I did. I didn't fill it completely out... meaning I didn't want to give "references" and I don't have experience working in a SC, but I do have a basic idea of what the job is - hustling/high pressure sales and social skills/looking beautiful etc. (from what I've read on SW) I have experience hustling, modeling, working in high pressure sales, etc. Anyway. They took me upstairs through the dressing room and I changed out of my clothes (the lighting is horrible in there... I'm sure that the photos aren't flattering) and they took front and back photos of me. When I went back downstairs I asked to introduce myself to a manager and they said it was shift change. It was 4:30/5? I haven't gotten a call back. Planning on going back in on Monday at 4ish as a customer and introducing myself to a manager when I see one. Also, I did apply for a cocktail position last year and they tried to call me a couple of times but I had already moved to LA... so there's that? Last thing - my friend just started working there and they hired her with no experience.
Any tips about your experiences applying? Is it really some kind of hazing thing to see if you are a delicate flower or a hustler?

Re: Applying in Philly
Delilah's is the top club in Philly but I've heard their standards have relaxed a LOT. (Supposedly my fat, old tattooed ass can get in there) :D
Daydreams is a great club if you want low pressure no bullshit. Housefees at Delilah's are obscene.
For Philly I think Daydreams is low contact. No touching boobs or pussy. Nudity really isn't an issue with me. I'd much rather have a guy staring at my pussy than trying to manhandle my boobs.

Re: Applying in Philly
Thanks tempest, I love that you replied - I've appreciated reading all of your posts & you seem awesome. Good points, and good to know! The house fees do seem kind of crazy at Delilah's, especially as I'll be learning a new hustle, and that's what seemed to be said about it on other threads too. I'm glad it's low contact also... I'll definitely go there as well. LOL about the staring at the pussy vs touching my tits, that is too true. I was also considering commuting to NYC (though I'm sure the manhattan clubs have way higher standards and would want me to have a Barbie body) or Baltimore. Just want a good, well run club to make $$$ and get into it. Again, thanks!

Re: Applying in Philly
This past week was a bad time to apply to any Philly club because of Wingbowl, a huge yearly event which just happened today. A lot of Philly girls split their time between a city club and a suburban club (partly because of how high contact Philly clubs are), and they all come to their Philly clubs this month so they can work Wingbowl, so the clubs don't hire many new girls during January. Try again in a week or two and you should be able to get in somewhere. Daydreams is definitely a good place for newbies to learn the ropes, but the earning potential is not great at this time of year, it's much better during bachelor party season.

Re: Applying in Philly
I've been trying out the clubs in Philly as a newbie recently. Let me just say I LOVE the people at Daydreams! No bullshit, low contact, amazing house dad (gay guy), great supportive girls working there. But the downside is that there's just no money. I went on a Friday night and there were a handful of college kids. And the competition is fierce. I got rejected for dances left and right because there were so many more experienced veterans there who could catch bills in their pussy and do crazy pole tricks. I made less than minimum wage.
Unfortunately, the clubs in Philly where the money's at are extremely high contact. If at all possible, I recommend trying the suburbs in northern Philly. They have a few low contact clubs with decent earning potential. If you don't want high contact and don't want full nude, central Philly is going to be a bad place for you.

If you want clean and low contact Doubles is your best bet.
I'm at Daydreams tomorrow night.

Re: Applying in Philly
I really liked Risques main club on Delaware Ave. If the champagne rooms are dirty it's really on the DL and you can still make money.
