Obviously us newbies can't afford the platforms meant for dancing, and I will admit I have never worn anything higher than 2 inches! I have very flat feet, and very flimsy ankles! Ha!!

There's some info on shoes and other great info for when you're starting out in the Newbie FAQ: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...-Probably-Here!
You really ought to read all the thread stickied at the top of that section and browse/search your questions. Many newbies have come through here, so there's a lot of valuable information if you just look for it.
For day one, wear your most comfortable pair of heels. If you decide to stick with stripping after that shift, your very first purchase should be proper platforms. They make a world of difference. Break them and practice walking around in them at home so you don't take a tumble in the club. There's lots of info on here about breaking them in and arguments for/against certain styles. Your best bet is to go to your local sex store, try on a few pairs to see which are most comfortable for you, and then go order them online for cheaper.
another good shoe discussion thread.
If your ankles are *that* weak, get a pair that has ankle straps & wear an athletic brace on each ankle, covered by leg warmers to give you extra support while you build up your strength.
Something with a chunky heel and ankle straps. Boots are awesome. Don't think too hard about it, no one's gonna be looking at your feet when you're naked.
I'd get arch supports too..if your ankles are weak, boots are usually the best..you can start w/ankle boots, I'd get open toe so feet can breathe.

These boots would be a good shoe to start. Use insoles to give your feet proper support, and use a brace (like Aniela mentioned). I wore a similar pair (but knee high) when I was a baby stripper in 2010. They aren't terribly expensive either.

LOVE these, in blk suede..out of stock right now:-\
I joined a subscription shoe site called Shoedazzle and they have wicked sales on gorgeous sexy heels all the time. Most of the platform heels are near stripper height and so much better quality for only $15. I think it is even less in the US. I LOVE shoes and another plus to being a camgirl is that I don't have to be practical anymore in my shoe choices and with Shoedazzle I can have the collection of my dreams! Plus, I only wear them for camming so the shoes stay pristine and I can display them like art sculptures.
If you're not sure you can wear heels, consider getting some 3-4 inch heels and spend at least two weeks before breaking them in. Before my first audition, I got a pair of 6 inch heels and did squats in them, tried them out in pole class, and generally tried to wear them almost every day for a month. But I do have high arches and am used to wearing 4 inch heels already, so I wouldn't recommend going to 6 inches unless you're used to wearing heels.
