Google Trends and Live Cam Sites - Very Cool Tool
Hey I just found this alternative to Alexa rankings for traffic on websites called Google Trends, it's much more current and up to date with traffic stats.
Just thought I'd post the traffic stats for the top live cam sites:
Streamate
http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=streamate
MFC
http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=myfreecams
Chaturbate
http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=chaturbate
LiveJasmin
http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=livejasmin
Here are all four sites together so you can compare where the traffic seems to go:

From what I can see, Chaturbate has been OWNING traffic! What do you guys think of this trend?
Re: Google Trends and Live Cam Sites - Very Cool Tool
I like it. Although, just a few things to add. Traffic =/= paying customers. Chaturbate is, from what I've gathered, an exhibitionist site. There are a lot of couples and free shows. So while CB may have traffic, MFC may have more PAYING traffic. And SM is just a different beast entirely. But this definitely makes clear that SM has been going downhill traffic wise, like most of us have felt. I hope that it pulls back up.

The guys I have had on chaturbate do not pay! Worst site for me and I also didn't feel that there was a lot of traffic?

Also, another thing to consider with Streamate is all of the white label sites they have. I have tons of guys tell me they came from "pornhublive" or "flirtgirlslive" among MANY others. So while Streamate itself might not be doing as great, there are still plenty of other sites still bringing in traffic for Streamate that you have to add to that. They wouldn't be the most popular site if they didn't have good traffic ;)

When I put the dates for the whole year Streamate traffic looks pretty steady.
Chaturbate seems to have most giving it away free, which explains the traffic. Maybe that way some freeloaders will stay out of my SM room :) Though I know some do well on CB I'd rather stick with personalized private shows. All I got on CB was either beggars who wanted it free or broke assholes who throw pennies at me to show everything in free chat.

SM also lost some of their traffic though because they lost a lawsuit with Google. Google no longer lists white label sites. I know this is one of the reasons for the overall traffic dip. Just gotta adapt, but doesn't make it any less than a pain in the ass. :)
Re: Google Trends and Live Cam Sites - Very Cool Tool
CB lists the top models by viewers. So essentially anyone can make it to the top by doing some real freaky shit but we all know that the fame is temporary and not really income generating. So, the models that make it to the top and consistently stay there, earned their regulars. This is still better than MFC where it's all about earning and camscore and we all know that the top models offline tip themselves to keep their rankings. I think that by steadily gaining regulars via CB is a more steady way of netting good regulars for your indy sites. So yes, you have to filter out the crap but who doesn't? SM, LJ and MFC isn't any better in terms of freeloaders and asswipes.

i just wanted to point out that Google Trends are statistics on how often the terms "streamate," "chaturbate," etc. are searched on google. It's information worth knowing, but it doesn't tell us about the traffic from guys that already have the site bookmarked, or who just type it into their browser, or who click a link on another site. It doesn't even tell us whether the people searching for "chaturbate" actually visit chaturbate. Some of them are probably cam girls or customers trying to find information on whether it's a reputable site.
That being said, Google Trends is an awesome way to research what sort of wording you should use on your website, blog, twitter, profiles, tags, etc. Are more people searching for "cam girl" or "webcam model"? "Big tits" vs "big boobs"? You can also see if a particular term is popular in certain geographical areas, so if a term is very popular, but is mostly used in countries that are very low income or unable to use credit cards, that might not be the best phrase to use.
Edit: For those those that are curious...
~ "Cam girl" is way more searched than "webcam model."
~ "Big tits" is much more searched than "big boobs."
~ "Big ass" outranks both "big booty" and "big butt."
~ Worldwide, "big tits" and "big ass" are pretty similar in number of search results ("big ass" is slightly higher as of 2014). "Big tits" outranks "big ass" in Canada, the UK, and Australia, but they are roughly the same in the US. Texas is the state that shows the most interest in both large tits and asses, and they slightly favor asses at the moment. California and Florida also search for a lot of tits and asses, and they are equally interested in both body parts. New York favors asses.
~ But guess what search term outranks both "big tits" and "big ass"? It's "BBW"! It ranks respectably (somewhere between "big ass" and "big tits") in the UK, Canada, and Australia. In the US, "BBW" significantly outranks both "big tits" and "big ass". Cool stuff!

Yea I just googled my name and only one white label appeared. I googled my name + streamate and two white labels appeared. If you still have a white labels site that gets traffic you really should update it. Add a blog...something interchangeable and active that will make the bots come back often. The Oh Mighty Google Gods have no love for repetitive content. Domains with white labels on them adapted, so not to anger the GODS. I'm only slightly kidding ;)
