Should I audition at all the clubs in my city?
I live in a medium sized California city. There are 3 clubs here, 1 Deja Vu Showgirls and 2 local names.
I have been interested in dancing since I turned 18 way back in December 2013. I have pushed it off but am ready to give it a go this time. I just have to get some shoes first.
I am not sure which club to choose, so is it a good idea to try out all 3 to see which I like best?
I have already called Deja Vu to ask about the process. They said to come in either on Amateur Night on Sunday or to come in whenever for an audition. I am NOT wanting to do Amateur Night; I don't feel I should compete or fight for a contract, you know? So I'll come in some day next week.
I also called 1 of the local ones, and the girl actually said she doesn't think they're hiring but I can come in and audition with the manager if I want.
I have not called the other local one.
Long story short, should I audition at all 3?

At the very least, scout each one as a customer first. You will get a better idea of how each of them works, pros+cons, etc. Pay one of the girls to sit & talk to you abt what it's really like to work there. Then you can make a more-informed decision abt where to audition.

I agree with this, but I've always wondered if I paid to talk to girl to sit and talk about the ins and outs of a club would lead her to lie about how the club is.
I've done this before and I thought the girls I have paid were truthful, but sometimes I wonder if I'll run into one girl who wants to keep me or other potential competition out of her club.
Just a curious thought for myself.

Lol ya that's what I think too. I just called one club and asked if they're hiring entertainers and the girl was like "no I don't think so." Idk it sounded sketchy lol like she didn't want a girl coming in.

^Try calling again at a different day/time.
Clubs are always hiring girls. There are very few clubs out there that put a cap on the amount of girls that work, because most clubs want to seem like they have a lot of girls which is good for the customers, and more girls means more house fees per head.
The only time I've seen a male club boss say over the phone to someone that they weren't hiring, was because the manager said the girl sounded hood.

Hmm, I'll call them again right now actually since I didn't get the chance to ask about underwear regulations and such. I'll see what they say.
Re: Should I audition at all the clubs in my city?
I have never found it useful to ask girls working at the club wether it's good or not. They could be lying or if they know you from another club (or not) could be exaggerating to big themselves up.
I'd come in as a customer at times you think would be peak, i'd read online reviews from customers and I guess try and audition at all three if you still can't decide. Also of course if you don't like one you at least know there are other clubs out nearby for you to go work at.
Also maybe since you a newb, choose to work in what you think may be the shitter club, just to break yourself in. If you can handle it but don't like the club well then you won't feel bad leaving and you have some experience and won't feel so overwhelmed at a better club.
Re: Should I audition at all the clubs in my city?
I wouldn't necessarily audition at all three right now. Seems like a waste of time. Pick one, audition, work, and see how it goes. If it's good, great. If it's meh, try another one. If that one is also meh, try the third. If that's meh, well, pick the least meh of the bunch.
FWIW, usually it's not just the winner that gets hired at amateur nights, so it's not like you're actually competing for a job. Usually you're just competing for a prize that only the winner gets but then most of the girls get hired. It's just a glorified audition that the club can capitalize on.
