Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
I tested snapchat with my husband. We both made accounts, both DID NOT allow access to our contacts, yet I appeared in my husband's contacts list with my Snapchat user name, as did all his other contacts and likewise on my account.
My husband's comment: "That would be fun when family and friends who already have your number and have Snapchat accounts see your model name and Google it!"
Accounts deleted.
I know we all have separate numbers for real life and model work, but I bet we all have some family and friends who also have our "model" phone number.
Uninstalling from your phone isn't enough. You have to delete your account online.

Re: Snapchat potential problem
I purposely completely separate personal/work phone.
My personal phone is a very standard non-smart phone. It txts it makes calls I can check facebook..thats about it. I've had the same number for 7 years now. I don't like complicating that situation.
My work phone is a smart phone that I bought from someone for super cheap. its not hooked up to a number I just use wifi to use apps like snapchat. I never put any personal info into the phone anywhere.

Re: Snapchat potential problem
Thank you for this, I was wondering as I was thinking about snap chatting but was wondering if you could have 2 accounts. maybe I will use my spare old smart phone

Re: Snapchat potential problem
By the way, this issue isn't about punters finding your real life info, it's about real life people finding your model info. Heck...if my neighbour (who has both my phone numbers for very good reason and also has Snapchat) googled Rebecca Teal she'd see a whole side of me she never knew existed!

Re: Snapchat potential problem
I was just about to add this to my thread: !
Snapchat is best avoided for work unless you have a separate phone and phone number.
Also, do not get a work phone in your name. If you absolutely must, you need to call and ask to have your name unlisted from directories, because there are apps out there where you pay $2 & type a person's phone #, and it tells you their full legal name. These are cell phone numbers. Its scary. 100% of people (with cell phones) are automatically opted in unless you call and opt out.

Re: Snapchat potential problem
you can also have it listed under a alias , depends on carrier

Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
Luckily it turned out fine and I deleted it stat. Family and close friends know I cam, but I don't necessarily want to advertise it to the whole world. But I was wondering, is there a way to make separate folders for certain social media account on Android phones? Like a protected section with naked selfies? Thanks. Oh and I know the obvious answer is delete all other social media, but that's not going to happen.

Re: Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
Te best answer is to not do your personal social media on your phone if you use your phone for a camera. Only do it on a computer so you don't have to worry about to two linking. I actually use my tablet for work and phone personal. Technology is never perfect.

Re: Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
Never start up LinkedIn as a personal account. I have been trying to get rid of it for months and it still won't die. All my other personal social media accounts are gone. When I did that, it freed up so much time that I finally binge edited a shitload of video clips for my site and the passive income payoff was my tremendous reward. Also, I have way less social media friend drama simply because I don't know about their stupid comments and I no longer have to put up with copious pictures of their offspring.

Re: Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
^lol hyori!
I've done similar things. Beware on c4s of accidentally hitting the "like" button on your (or any) c4s page. I did it by accident, slip of the keyboard and it posted to my vanilla FB. Maybe log out of FB when you're done on it.
Also beware of other apps like Vine. I accidentally linked my adult Vine (when they allowed that) to my FB so it automatically posted a video. Luckily just a hiking vid, no nudity. But it linked to my adult persona. I have a super vigilant friend who disapproves of my adult work but knows about it and she's always the first to let me know! :D

Re: Accidentally posted a tweet to personal FB
Sorry I can't help about keeping things separate. All I can recommend is definitely don't have an adult and a family FB and an adult and family twitter. I did and it started recommending my vanilla persona to my adult persona and vice versa, so I'm sure it did for others. I bet you can avoid this by being vigilant about logging out and clearing cookies, but I wouldn't trust it. I have a family FB and an adult twitter. Deleted the others.

This^^^. There's a few threads on here discussing similar issues...personal accounts being linked with camming. I wouldn't use the same device for anything...not with the way cookies work. I don't even use the same computer for personal stuff and camming anymore. Maybe invest in a ipod or tablet and use it just for camming.

Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
Hello lovelies, i do have a 'work' phone but it's got a crap camera and half the time i cant remember where the charger is! So far i've kept twitter and snapchat off my new personal phone (galaxy s6) but i wondered if anone knew of a way to have them on the phone but keep them COMPLETELY seperate from your phone contacts? I've always had iphone so i'm a bit out of my depth with android. Can you create like compartments to keep certain apps in and make it so they can't interact with anything else on the phone? Failing that a way to easily send pics from my persomal phone to my work one to use on snapchat? Sorry if that sounds pathetically stupid lol.

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
Idk about snapchat, but I know as long as you don't have your phone number associated with your twitter, you're golden on there. If you have it added for security reasons, even though they say they don't share without your permission, they will & you're screwed the second you enter it (I had it happen with an adult humor account of mine that I used my # on for "extra security" and ended up with a ton of people from high school and my old job following me). Same thing goes if you're using a personal email instead of a camming email to sign up for twitter (anyone with your email can find you on there).
So, basically, as long as you use a camming email & don't hook up your phone number, you'll be fine.

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
I heard (I haven't actually tried it but I'm thinking about it) that if you root your android phone, it can support multiple users, sort of like a windows computer. So you could have one user with your personal accounts and another with your work accounts. If I do end up doing this, I'll probably post a thread with my results and report back here.

You shouldn't need to root your phone, you might be able to find the user mode under SETTINGS then USERS to keep your accounts separate so that your contacts and personal stuff is separate. I just did it on my Android and all of the settings are gone, so no contacts, apps, etc. It's a good way to prevent your naughty stuff from blending :P

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
Yes, some Android phones have that capability built in, but I think the Galaxy ones don't.

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
^^^^ This is what I was going to say. Sometimes its called a "profile" . I used to know a guy that had like three different "profiles" for the girls he was dating. Ex. if he was with Mary he'd set it to the profile that had photos of them, texts back and forth and phone calls etc. If he was with Sharon he would put it on that one. I am not sure how to set it up on Galaxy but I am sure it can be done.

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
Yeah I just tried looking for a solution other than rooting, but there's nothing. No profiles or users unless they include it in marshmellow but there's no ETA on that for Samsung yet.

Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
I'm not sure about snapchat. I know on twitter, under settings and privacy, you can uncheck the boxes that say "let others find me by email address" and "let others find me by phone number." I'm not sure if I would trust it though.
-
Re: Keeping snapchat seperate from phone contacts?
I just checked snapchat and there seems to be a "mobile number" setting that you can disable. I would proceed with caution though.

Ladies who uses a separate phone for Camming
I have a samsung s5 (currently using for personal use) and a new iPhone 6s. I had this idea of having one as my "camming/work phone" so I can keep things separate. I only have one line though, and was wondering if there is a way to get this "work phone" going without purchasing a new line/service? I plan to use it for twitter/instagram/premium snapchat/and for members who buys my phone number. I use to have google voice a long time ago, but i think they changed things last time i used it. Do you guys recommend any other apps?
