What's it like to work at Centrefold Lounge and Show Girls Bar20 in Melbourne, Aus?
Hey lovelies, I'm currently doing my research and looking into clubs in Melbourne CBD, and was keen to hear any info about what's like to work at Centrefold Lounge. From what I've seen it seems like a popular and well looked after club, but any real (and recent!) information on the working standards would be appreciated. I've noticed that they have a strong social media presence and also would like to know if that's something built into contract (like featuring on their Facebook, etc) or just on volunteer basis.
Also been looking into Showgirls Bar20, so if there's any insider info on that I'd be happy to hear it!
Any help would be much appreciated! xx

I'd like to know too. I'm going to Melbourne at the end of the year. There's so many clubs, I don't know where to start!

C/F lounge House fee $50 weeknights $100 weekends, must work 2 weeknights or 1 weeknight and a fri or sat minimum. Approx 7 or more 20 min tables each shift minimum 10hr shift. Used to be amazing, not so much anymore because the club has been marketing to a very young party crowd and driving out the higher spend demographic with to much free shows and free dances :(
Bar20 house fee $20 weeknights $50 weekends, don't know shift requirements. 3 tables per shift. No touching of any kind upstairs. Breast touching downstairs in a controlled and videotaped room; most girls don't do breast touching as its only $10 more than a regular dance. Recently refurbished and it looks beautiful.
If you are happy to do touching Kittens South Melbourne is the busiest club in town with the cheapest house fees and most travelling dancers try it at least once.
There is also Goldfingers, Opium, Men's Gallery, Maxines Hustler club, Spearmint Rhino, 'The club formely known as the hot spot' & a little dive place in Richmond.

Hey thank-you, super helpful. Went in to Centrefold as a customer the other night and spoke to one of the dancers about working there - one of the best things I could have done. She gave me lots of tips (and of course, I tipped her with just as many) and a good insight with what it was like to work there. Said she'd done the rounds and Centrefold was by far the best - she earns much more there than she did at Kittens, apparently. I suppose the 'best' club for you really depends on your type of hustle and look!

Just wanted to say, I really respect that you went into a club as a customer to answer some questions for yourself, and I reeeeally appreciate you following up with more information in the thread you started! :)

Did you end up giving centerfold a go work wise?
I've just started at a different smaller melb club - opium, but went to look at a few first, I found bar 20 very loud & full on in comparison to rhino & men's gallery ( both of these really impressed me but were much higher fees & busier)

Good so far, it's my first club so I cant compare properly
There seems to be a lot of girls working considering how busy /big it is. Management have been friendly & the music is great so no major complaints!
House fee is only $50

^ The report on Opium is that the lapdances are a bit 'anything goes' compared to other clubs. My info comes from dancers who went in and had lappies.

Touching is allowed at opium ( if we agree to it) which I guess makes the dances quite intense... But perhaps there's even more going on I havnt heard/ seen yet at work lol!

Had my first weekend at Centrefold during Easter (I've been told it's not the best time in terms of money - Friday and Saturday weren't as busy as they could have been), but I was happy with the cash I made and I absolutely loved it! Touching is not allowed but 'guided' touching on the waist/hips is - but that is up to the dancer and the type of customer. The girls are all lovely and the music is great too. Some other newbies and dancers didn't make any money on Friday and Sat, but it went fairly well for me considering. Just from working three nights in a row I have learnt A LOT and can definitely see it's 100% possible to make good money here. Will see how this weekend fairs - hopefully it's busy!
