Re: Struggling to get on cam
Sometimes positive motivation works better than negative motivation, especially when it comes to money. For example, getting on cam to make money to treat yo'self is far more fun than getting on to make money for rent. So perhaps starting with a positive motivator ("I'll get on until I have enough money to buy _____") and then deciding to stay on once you've hit that goal could work.

I too love and need this thread! Thanks ladies for all the tips!
Re: Struggling to get on cam
Here are some reasons you may be too tired or unmotivated to go on cam.
Fibromyalgia
http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...n/con-20019243
This is a physiological issue normally triggered by an event. Symptoms include tension headaches, joint pain, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Fibromyalgia usually effects women. Can be cured with exercise and a stress free environment. This one is easy to fix. Just go for a 10 minute walk every day, and do a daily guided meditation.
Anemia
http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/u...-anemia-basics
This also usually effects women. It is causes by low levels of iron in the blood. The risk is higher for women of childbearing age. This is because the menstruation cycle is responsible for depleting iron. This can be caused (or worsened) with the use of NSAIDs because they thin your blood. A simple blood test can determine if you have this issue; go see your doctor if you suspect this is the case. This one is also easy to fix. Simply taking some vitamin B12 and iron pills should immensely help your energy levels.
Depression
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_depressive_disorder
Depression will effect people differently. Some people cannot get enough sleep, some people can't get out of bed. Some people overeat, some people can't find it in themselves to eat enough. It's a medical problem causes by low serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain (much like anxiety). Unfortunately, you will have to do to an actual doctor to get help for this one. If that is impossible for you, you may be able to increase your serotonin and dopamine levels by exercising before it hits a low point. A good resource is http://www.7cupsoftea.com/ if you need free therapy.
I also wanted to add a list of habits some people may do too often which will reduce your energy levels.
- Too much caffeine. Do you need to kick start your day with a cuppa? If so, reduce your caffeine intake to five times a week. Caffeine is addictive, but it's easy enough to avoid drinking it for two days out of your week.
- No routine before bed. Make sure you do something every night before going to sleep. This helps your body adjust for maximum replenishment during your night's rest. Also, chamomile tea is a natural relaxant.
- Looking at a screen before bed. If you absolutely must look at your phone or computer right before bed, install a program that dims the screen during the night hours. https://justgetflux.com/ for computer, and https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.lux&hl=en for Android mobiles phones.

I feel so bad marking each X and seeing the calendar fill up with red instead of green, that I force myself to work the next day, and even work longer if I have to.
It's the best motivator I have so far, otherwise the days just melt together and I wouldn't even realize how much time has passed since I last worked! It helps me stay on track!
I am getting a calender right now! This idea is fab. Thanks

You should fucking publish this. I'd buy it.

Great novel, right?
Re: Struggling to get on cam
I stopped camming late last year because of the anxiety I was having--I began to sabatoge myself daily--I tried for a few months-then would stop--and try again--I tried different webcamming sites.
It was crippling the anxiety--I have had it for most of my life--I think a lot of the women in my family have problems with anxiety.
I have been doing pso for about a year--I think it's a better fit for me right now.
I'm not sure if I will cam again-I haven't said I wouldn't, I'm more relaxed and focused.
I am still stressing about money-I have been working on different pso formats.
I will be making some changes for myself soon--considering some vanilla work with the pso work.
Anxiety and depression are very difficult to deal with when you need to work--when I had vanilla work--if I became depressed it would be all the more draining.
I have had some depression and anxiety for a few weeks-I am finally feeling better--the small goals helps, it keeps me from getting overwhelmed
I have some social events coming up in the next 2 weeks, I should be feeling great by then--I went out one night this week and it was a lot of fun.
