I need a honest opinion and some advice
Hello
I have done quite a bit of research on this already but I'm afraid that most of the things I read might have been posted by the fake cam companies etc. so not sure if they are reliable. I was wondering whether any of you have ever done any non-nude camming work, and whether you can really earn a decent living doing this, or whether this is just a scam and only nude camming can ever make you money? If it is not a scam, can you please point me in the right direction and recommend some companies that do non-nude work, and are reliable so I can do some reading on them?
Any input appreciated! :writing:

You can do non-nude camming on any site but you have to have that SPECIAL quality that sells. The money is there but no one can tell you what you can make. That's on YOU!
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
You have to do your own research. Ax in log onto the cam sites & try to find a non-nude performer & see if that person is making money. Heck, spend a month or two watching many cam performers.
Nudity does NOT equal money in camming. None nudes have even harder time to earn. 80% of cam performers don't last 2 weeks.
NOBODY can predict your future income on cam. It is a hard core hustle sale job. If you are iffy about it then honestly you might not have what it takes. Girls who bank nude or none nude have the attitude & sales ability to rock it out without a doubt in their mind or soon do so to make it in this biz.
What you can't do is be in porn and NOT be associated with porn. You are on the WORLD WIDE WEB, that means the whole world will judge you. EVeryone will find out. I love being notorious. I do go nude. I do make more than a decent living. I also work 12 to 14 hour days in one way or another.
Either your do it & own it OR don't bother if it isn't worth the risk. You know the risk, the exposure, the judgement.
Who would be a "fake" cam company? There is a sticky her for newbies & how not to sign up from a studio, to sign up directly to any cam site. Please list "Fake cam companies", cause I am curious. If you are entering this biz assuming these companies who have to go through a tough vetting process in order to take credit cards as 'Fake' & rip offs then you assume the worst of this industry & don't belong in it.
Working for min wage or even at $12 per hour in an office that will down size, cut your hours to part time without warning is unscrupulous to me. How much does one make working at McDs? How much was the CEO bonus last year? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articl...-shows-pay-gap
Dont assume the so-called real world is legit & good for people.

Hi, thanks for responding and the links! Well, I guess I won't know until I try it, but I have quite a few ideas that, hopefully, would appeal to some people.
I was just wondering - where it says sign up directly with the site, not the studio; what are these studios exactly? Does it mean that, for example, Angel Girl studio is linked to one of the listed camsites or something like that?
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
Studios are like pimps. They take a percentage of what you make where if you sign up directly on a site by yourself, you'll get to keep whatever percentage the site pays you.

Hi there, thanks for taking your time to respond. What I mean by fake companies - companies that might rip you off - e.g. fake adverts, having your credit card details stolen and so on. No need to get defensive, I just think that there are firms out there who might try to exploit inexperienced people, so was just looking for heads up :) And yeah, I agree about the min wages and so on.

That explains it, thanks a lot.
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
Never had to give any cam company my credit card number in order to make money on it. And yes, you are throwing shade at cam companies. Visa & Mastercard are very strict in the adult biz. They make companies jump through all kinds of hoops, require huge deposits, charge huge processing fees & shut down sites for a way lower percentage of chargebacks than any other business.
You can google any cam company & see what customers say about them & if they got ripped off or not. Credit card companies ALWAYS side with the customer against an porn company. We don't get to fight chargebacks like other businesses do. I know, I worked for a tanning salon for 2 years & won every chargeback despute.
You are more than likely to have your credit card hacked & charged by a major theft ring at Target & such than a cam company which you don't even give your credit card to in order to cam on it. ONLY the customers register their credit cards in order to pay for our shows.

How am I throwing shade at companies? I wasn't talking about genuine companies but about the scammers. Anyone can make a website, pretending to be a genuine a company, that's what I meant.
Anyway, thanks for explanation, I didn't know that you don't have to register your credit card.
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
Please Google "non nude camming, site:www.stripperweb.com". This question gets asked VERY frequently. If you read several of the previous threads, you'll get a pretty comprehensive answer. Older threads are still worth reading, since non nude camming issues haven't changed much, but bear in mind that camming income in general has gone down since 2011 or 2012.
I'm not trying to avoid the question, but reading other threads will give you a better answer than you'll get in this thread. A lot of people with valuable insight probably will not answer you because they've already written about this topic ad nauseam.

You, Sam, are so fucking brilliant. I wish I could spend an afternoon chatting with you over martinis, on me.
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
The answer is yes and no - yes you can in theory, but YOU may or may not be able to! I do not advertise as non-nude, in fact quite the opposite, but to be honest the large majority of my shows do not involve me removing a single item of clothing lol. I am an expert at the art of sexy tease and using my voice to create erotic scenarios, I also have mesmerising tits (their words not mine!). So I can basically fill out entire shows with chit chat, jiggling my boobs, looking pretty in lingerie, and talking dirty. Some girls (the babestation/ glamour girls over here in the UK) get by on even less, and at higher prices! There are totally legit non nude cam sites, in fact i;'m in the process of signing up for one right now! Though you can be non nude on any site, it just comes down to how you work it.
Whether you're nude, non nude, a domme, or your 'thing' is wearing a paper bag over your head (whatever).. the guys will buy YOU. So figure out your USP's as you would any other product you're selling, and advertise accordingly. Treat every guy like he's your best customer ever, always ask them to leave feedback, always smile, and voila, you have a new fan who will hopefully become a regular :D
I understand where you're coming from re being too good to be true, seeming like scams btw - before i started camming in earnest 4 years ago I too thought cam sites were a scam lol. Seriously, i thought all the models on mfc were some kind of looped video feed, seriously could not understand why any woman would seriously DO that shit?! Now I know :D Basically whenever I want to vouch for a site I am interested in i google the site name then stipperweb and see if it's mentioned, if not and I can't see it mentioned on any other legit platform then I do not touch it.
Re: I need a honest opinion and some advice
To succeed as non-nude you need very serious selling skills balanced with the ability to appeal to a lot of men-- that can be through flirting, teasing, humor, quirkiness, transparency and honesty in demeanor. The secret really is to charge much higher for things nude models do and to get a following of guys who actually try to "protect" you from revealing too much of your body. Check out the models on MFC who barely do any nude. There is one superstar girl who is usually in the top 3 who is amazing at this hustle. Watch her and learn!

Thanks a lot, girls, that's really helpful! :)

Here's what I posted in another non-nude thread a few months ago...

You can do non-nude/fetish shows on almost any site except for maybe tip-based sites.
Camming is different for everyone but you won't necessarily make less than the next person, it all depends on how you do it. Although most of my shows are non-nude I do offer nudity in Exc with a high amount of gold. I dunna what you consider decent money or what your daily goal is but mine was $100 which took me about 4 hours to make. My per hour rate has gone up lately I think mainly due to being more consistent, so now my goal is $200 which is taking me around 4-5 hours to make. Most days I don't do nudity (because those who are willing to pay Exc + a large amount of Gold are rare) so most times I make my goal doing non-nude/fetish shows and requests for gold. Although non-nude/fetish is already a niche you have to find your niche with in it....mine are ebony goddess, teasing, big booty/booty shaking, joi, sph and findom. Also I don't wear traditional domme/fetish attire....I wear a tank top, bra, and panties.
There aren't alot of camgirls who are non-nude but if you read threads around here you'll find a few. Like
@Sam38g said read, read, read. Its not easy being a camgirl and in away I think it maybe a little harder being a non-nude one. It took me longer than 2 years to get to this point. There's no guarantee that you'll make money on SM or any other site but the more info you have in your arsenal the better. There's so much more I could say but I've already written it in past threads. I kept a list of non-nude/fetish and related threads saved because of how often this topic is created. Here's the links if you're interested in reading them.
