Australian Cam Girls - how does payoneer's 2% convert rate work for you?
I am yet to even start camming, to be honest iv probably left it a little late now that im 24 and iv had a child, i would probably be considered "old" now but i guess its better late than never, and since i still have my ab muscles, i might as well make the most of them :)
Im located in australia and have been looking for reliable "mega sites" i believe they are called and i read in the informative and well written post above (wishing to avoid the studios). All of these well known larger sites all have one payment system in common - Payoneer.
The conversion rate from USD to AUD is 2% of the amount transferred, with each transfer. Does this add up to alot of money in the long run? and are their more hidden fees involved than the 2% (such as extra bank fees, and other conversion related rates). Despite the extra loss due to transfers and conversions is their still a decent profit to be made? Im someone who makes alot of purchases within the USA, should i select the prepaid master card as a payout option over the bank transfer?
Are there any aussie girls here? lol.
Thanks for reading my ramblings ladies ;D

It is a pain in the arse.
With the aussie dollar being weak as piss right now though it works out ok. I just look at my earnings as if they are in AU dollars, then when it arrives and it is slightly more than I expected it is a bonus.
Just build the adjustments into your calculations when working out your potential earnings. Just one of the realities of a lot of online work is earning in US and spending is AU.
If you have any aussie specific questions ask away, I'm fairly new to but I might be able to help!
Peace x

Thank You so much Artsyscarlette, thats a much better way of looking at it. I was thinking the amount we would get as Australians would be 3/4 of the USA amount, but i had a blonde moment and was working it out as "spending" AU in USA, rather than "earning"... hahaha im such a dumbass sometimes. Do you have the money put directly into your bank account or do you use the pre-loaded master card?
Im so excited to hear another Aussie is here, i dont feel like such a loner. What did you do to get setup? Iv brought new bedding, a $200 webcam, and judging by the small clips i saw on livejasmin, i should invest in some wallpaper. The information regarding background colours is so conflicting - its suggested to steer away from white, black, and flesh tones, yet iv seen many cam girls with this colour background and it looks amazing. I guess all i can do is work with what iv got, but i think before i make a start ill atleast get some wallpaper (perhaps a light grey metallic) and a set of lamps for lighting.

Haha. Don't worry I sometimes am a little bit blonde as well!
I like earning in USD because if I earn 80usd an hour I am on 100aud which is more than my partner earned when he was working FIFO on Barrow Island! Not that I rub
I get it on the card and then transfer it if I want but I travel a lot so it works out best for me. The bank transfer is definitely the better option if you are in Oz most of the time.
I've got cam bedding, a C920 and a dedicated camming laptop when I am at home I also use a 40inch TV so that I can read the chat better, my dsylexia goes crazy with usernames and small screens don't help! I personally use white everything, I think the coloured wallpapers make the room look like a eastern european/colombian studio. Nothing wrong with that but I want people to know I am not like that as it doesn't suit my brand.
I would work with what you have, try all the sites, try a variety of hustles. No point in spending to much money before making it. I actually made money, camming with my partner, to buy the camera and since then everything bought for camming is funded by camming. Also by all testimonies I would avoid LJ like the plague...
It's always good to have more international ladies on here and there are so many awesome people on here as well definitely read and learn as much as you can!
If you have anything else I can help with let me know. :-)
