How to make your wishlist work?
To all the girls who've been successfully using wishlists: how do you get people actually send you stuff? Mine's been there for ages and people do ask about it. But they do it just just to return after some time and ask if anyone has bought me this toy or that outfit they want to see. I'm not offering findom so there are no luxury or outrageously pricey items ( it starts with $25 and the most expensive gift is a $200 vibrator) and most items are camming-related with a tiny bit of gaming and fan stuff for a change. I thought it would be fun for men to buy something they could actually see me wear or use, but it doesn't seem to work. Probably there are some secrets to making a wishlist more appealing?
Are there any specific items men are more willing to buy? Is there a certain price range a regular cam customer (not a moneyslave) tends to prefer? Are there any ways to promote the wishlist (say, on Twitter) without making it look like begging?
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
I promote my wishlist all the time! When I am on Cam I often work into conversation with customers who tend to spend on me things I want. Then I say I was going to buy it but I had an unexpected bill or some bullshit and so I just put it on my wishlist instead (I normally have this conversation in free chat so its seems more conversational). I like to make them think Im a bit broken up about not getting it. When they ask what my wishlist is I remind them that I cannot tell them on cam but they can search for me on the web. Then pimp that link out on your twitter. I normally put something like "For the guys who were asking about it in cam today my wishlist is here *link*" You can also put it in your twitter header along with your cam models links etc.
I have been at this game a while and sometimes I just ask a guy. Infact on Thursday I was decided I wanted some new books so I just DM a guy I know and flat out asked him "Will you buy me this box set of books for my kindle?? Pweeeze!" he did it right then and there and I made a big deal of him when he popped in my free chat later on.
Guys love to help us girls out and we love to know that they care for us so dont worry about begging! You got to let the guys know you want something and you cant afford it so they can help you out! If you keep making out like you dont need help and you can afford your own shit then they wont want to insult you by buying you something!
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
^^I just love this attitude. I'm so fucked up about asking for things I haven't even got around to making a wishlist yet. A June challenge, I feel!
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
DWS You must set it up Today! Just go to Amazon.co.uk and set it up, takes two seconds, then just start shopping! It is such a rush when your door bell rings and you get to open that package!
And if your in the UK you can make one for Lovehoney as well. They keep all your info private from the buyer and you can get all kinds of great stuff for work there. I am in Europe and I use both accounts I always post My amazon wishlist and my dirty wishlist. Guys love it and there is nothing better then getting that fully medical grade silicon dildo that cost over 100 pound sterling for nothing!
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
No idea! I've had multiple wish lists for years and only 3 guys have ever bought me anything. To be fair they were pretty epic things (my laptop being one) but have never been able to get random guys to just buy stuff for me. I guess you have to be super bitchy/ domme/ findom as these are the only types I regularly see being spoiled.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
Sunnylexie,
I am not really a cam girl but I had some wishlist success. Actually, I have several different wishlists that cater to different clients. I would say that men love buying gifts for ladies who are special to them. Usually, I promote my wishlists all over the place including tumblr and twitter :) Or I just asked for my clients to buy me certain gifts such as special addition horror dvds or something like that. In addition, my clients buy me all kinds of gifts including everything from gourmet brownies to tasteful jewelry. Nothing is too small for many of clients.
Also I agree with Deep Thoughts....you must make men desire to buy you something off your wishlist.

I'm a total sub, not dominating or bitchy. I just play the happy go lucky but I mix in a bit of, sad girl couldn't get what she wanted, the guys that love you want you to be happy so they solve the problem and happy fun girl is back! I get everything from cheap lingerie to alienware computers or iPhones. If you limit yourself you have only you to blame.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
My amazon wishlist is currently inactive bc I need a po box, but I normally just put it on my mfc profile, and put beside it that I will send them a thank you photo set or video after whatever they send me arrives, I never mentioned it in free chat unless someone asked about it. I had like 30 pages of stuff on my wishlist, everything from plushies, to household items, to sex toys and outfits. When its on my profile I normally get a few hundred dollars in gifts a year. Normally they send me shoes, sex toys, outfits, and the occasional household item or plushie. I have a delivery code one at the moment and no bites on it, guys have viewed it but no gifts, I think my guys are weary of trying a new site, they trust amazon xD
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
The only success I've had with wishlist is when I acquire a whale. Someone who is just so in love with me that they spend money every day for awhile and then disappear. But they always come back! So while they are in that euphoric stage I hit em up hard. Treat them like you will never see them again. That's my only advice really. Don't be afraid to tell them about the wish list in your show. Works even better if it's a gfe type situation. I have my tricks but Im a bit reluctant to share them exactly. Guys read this stuff. I've probably said too much LOL Personally I hate having wishlist crammed with sex toys and sexy outfits. I don't use or wear half that crap so I don't want the hassle of flipping it elsewhere to get my money. I put stuff that will reflect a part of who I am. It's like giving them a peak into the real me: Software,Gadgets, Makeup, Art Supplies. I don't want anymore dildos. Im good on that. For me once I stopped putting sexy stuff on my wish list is when I started getting more gifts.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
must just be me. I seriously suck at getting money out of guys any way other than on webcam! I am too nice and can't act for shit.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
I am also wanting to make an amazon wish list soon. Is it safe as long as you have a po box? When setting it up with amazon, what do u put as your name so the guys cant see your real name?
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
I just put my camming first part of my camming name... I love the idea of a wishlist but I think it works better for token sites :/ pay per min guys aren't that interested and the sites don't allow you to share the link so they have to be smart enough. To google you and find your Twitter then buy stuff which by that time most don't ..I only have one guy that buys me stuff and he's my longest regular ...
also has anyone seen amazons new feature?? Where you can send you stuff to an authorized convienant location instead of your house or po box?

Re: How to make your wishlist work?
I put items in my wishlist that are easily brought up in conversation. If a guy asks what my hobbies are, I mention my photography hobby and how I love to birdwatch and take photos and that I'm salivating over a new telephoto lens that is on my wishlist. I also mention other hobbies like playing guitar, and the hollow body electric acoustic guitar I have on my wishlist and how beautiful it is, and how much I want to play it, etc.
It helps to put things on the wish list that you really want, they may not buy the actual thing that you mentioned in conversation but they will check it out and see your more affordable gift items like panties, stockings, sex toys and kitchen appliances and possibly buy you those items instead.
It also helps to mention items that you are wearing that were bought off your wishlist and how much you love wearing this or that because it's so special to you and it reminds you of the great sessions you had with that guy. I've been pretty successful with getting wishlist gifts and those are my top tips.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
Me either girly girl. I did a search and found this: According to Amazon, there are now boxes at selected locations in San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Washington DC, and London.
Re: How to make your wishlist work?
I found a bunch of locker locations ...all at 24hour 7 elevens ... I'm a bit shocked I've never. Seen them when I go to 7 elevens maybe they are located in the back storage room or something

Re: How to make your wishlist work?
i think British guys are different to American guys Susie, I cant imagine any of my regulars buying me anything like that, it would be seen as cheeky in a bad way!
The only time ive been bought things is when its a specific item for a custom video or photo set
Questions about amazon wish lists.
Do you typically set these up on your personal accounts (you can create multiple wishlists under different names) or is it better to start a new account strictly for your persona? I've noticed the locations no longer show on the actual list. Does this mean they are now safer to use? Does it reveal your real name and address once the customer adds it to their cart? And can gift cards sent to a work email be used/added to your personal account (registered with a personal email) or can it only be used for the account attached to the email the card is set to?
I'm not a fan of the newer delivery code wishlists and really prefer amazon. Unfortunately, I live in a small town and I can't risk my location becoming available to the public.
Help?!

ecards are redeemable on the email account used when making the purchase. Thats the one that will be tied to all of your purchases. Also wishlist should be created with an alternate persona set apart from your real life. The email addresses should never be the same. It takes 90 seconds to set up a new gmail account. Never set up a new account via your phone. Always use a desktop if possible. I know what you are asking but to be honest I'm hesitant to give a response because some things are like creating a playbook for fraudsters?
