Re: what to do when retiring from camming
Thank you for your answer, IsobelWren. I wish you the best of luck! I will be looking into affiliate work, even for porn is okay, as long as I dont have to do the porn myself haha. I wonder how these twitter promoters are making money, the peeps that are posting a ton of pussy and asspics and retweet your pics and stuff. I guess they wouldnt be doing it unless they would be getting payed somehow...
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
Thank you thank you thank you Wednesday! I will be looking into all that! Good luck to you too!

Re: what to do when retiring from camming
haha Arwen, I loooove cats too! I have degrees to teach English and Italian, too, but I dont like teaching either, my mom is a retired teacher and I sure know how shitty that job is...
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
I am fluent in Italian too! :) Cool
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
What an amazing thread! I have a few more ideas now for ways to bring in some additional money. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up....but I just know once I can breath a little easier with money, I can focus on what my long term career plan is. I see myself in camming for 5-10 more years.....
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
There are actually a lot of things to do from home, but some projects, such as Lionbridge, Leapforce, etc are only temporary and will only last about 6 months-2 years. They are basically ad quality rating and search engine ratings though, but money is good while it lasts at about $12-14 an hour depending on who you work for.
Data entry work, transcription, article writing, phone jobs are some others but competition is high for a lot of these to do from home.
Join the forum WorkPlaceLikeHome. They always have job leads and reviews posted. Also RealWaystoEarnMoneyOnline is a very good blog and she weeds out the scams and such before posting a lead.
I tried out camming, but realized I was much too shy for it. I do texting now and the money is only good if you find a good company to work for. Some you will be making like $2 and just a waste of time.
There are other opportunities out there though and I wish you luck on your search. :)

Problem is, I didn't have time to start anything else on the side, because I have a family to take care of, too. So now I am stuck. I have to keep working online because I need the income, but I am sick and beyond tired of it. I feel I am dying inside every day when I have to lock myself in my room and spend hours chatting live. I feel Im getting too old for this, if you know what I mean (not as in age, but in ...spirit).
What is to be done for a retired cam model? I am a hard working girl, is not that I am lazy or anything, just that I don't feel like doing live videochatting anymore, it's a torment for me. And I still wanna work from home, of course :) I know about clips4sale, but are there other things to be done, too, to combine them and make a living out of that?
I hope I wrote clearly, Im a bit fuzzy at the moment :)
Thank you for reading and for answering!
Kissies and good luck to all!

Hey OP, I'm so sorry you're feeling obligated to cam when you really don't want to anymore. Perhaps these tips will help you transition out.
Get on a budget and fast. Be sure to include personal investments, emergency fund, and non liquid savings that you cannot touch on top of your bills. If it's $12 you can put away a week in your savings in a years time you'll have $576 untouched. Give yourself a 1-2 year exit strategy.
What are you passionate about? Perhaps you wanted to start an esty store or make custom jewelry? Save up (bootstrap, no loans!) and launch that while you're still camming and quit once you can sustain. Business will always boom depending on the sector. Do your research, find out what you're passionate about and go for it. I have an LLC that I place on the back burner that I can always go to when I'm "done" with camming.
Consider putting more eggs in your basket. Lately I haven't had the patience to deal with free live chat so I take time off but I make sure I milk my other eggs. Phone sex, texting, audio, chat sessions, panties/items, indy, etc. Advertise your skype and wait while the adds and new customers pile in begging to pay you for 10 min of your time. You log in/take calls/shows when YOU feel like it and you can make several hundred to thousands a week without ever having to sit on cam and wait again. You can also promote and do affiliate sales. I make $100 a week on SM when I don't cam because quite a few guys are going crazy on SM through my cammodels link. Other adult related eggs can make you just as much money as cam if not more and easier and you can quadruple your earnings by logging in several characters and selling block sessions.
Thing is OP, your options are to go vanilla, start a business, or mine different eggs. Either way, you can transition out of cam but you really need a strong financial backing. I know you don't want to keep camming but my advice is to quit when you can afford to just like with every other job or simply transition out by adding different eggs. If you don't want to cam for a week, do phone sex instead, etc.
My plan is to cam occasionally and save, sugar (sugar baby), invest in real estate (my condo will be paid off in 2-3 years), sell my natural cleaning products and launch a natural hair care lines to name a few and marry a millionaire to a billionaire. If you have a pumpka$h (pussy) you should NEVER be without! I have about 25 more years to milk my beauty and if I don't have something by that time that's all on me. My great aunt is 70 years old and has several properties and is mentoring me on real estate. I want to be her at 70. Relaxed, with money in the bank and not a care in the world.
Good luck to you, you can do this! You deserve to wake up and be pumped and excited about working or retirement. Save, save, save and then transition out if you can put up with it much more. Give yourself 6 months to a year or simply switch out cam for another adult source, save, and then retire.
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
Thank you for your answer, IvaSkye. I have no idea what Lionbridge and leapforce are, I will have to google those. Thank you so much for all the tips!
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
You can always work on your skills. Everyone has a skill. If you take that skill, regardless of what it is to the ultimate best of what it can be, you can make a lot of money. For instance, say you happen to be great with dogs, start a pet sitting business! All you need is a vehicle, some insurance and good organization skills. Look up how to do it best through google, there are tons of free resources. Pet sitting can be very lucrative. You're good with kids? Try home daycare. You love to cook? Catering! There is opportunity all around you! Fuck people who blame the economy. There are people who are thriving regardless of what's going on in the economy, don't let that shit get you down. You control your life, you decide your destiny, anyone who says differently is deluded into cynicism and negativity. This fucking society tries to delude all of us into hopeless, drug-addicted, poor, "realists". Fuck that noise.
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
wow, thank you, kortneykay, for the long detailed answer! i appreciate alot that you took all this time to write to me. I know I definitely need a transition period from camming to anything else, but I am really puzzled, because will be very hard for me to invest anymore time in anything else, so if I do it, it has to be something worth it, I mean, something that I can really build up into a real-income providing job. I already have an Etsy store, but I never felt motivated to add more items in it because some of my friends tried it and did not have much success with it. I would really love to be able to make it work, because I love making those lil things...
Oh, I have one more question: what is the best way to advertise your cammodels link? I am using only twitter and never had much success with it... Referral money are sooooo good!! I always wanted to learn more on how to get those guys to sign up through my link.
Thank you again and I wish you the best of luck with your plan too!
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
Hyori, I love you! Thank you so much for these words, they are exactly what I needed to hear right now! I have quite a few skills and things that I love doing, I will have to make a list and pick what I like best and then go for it, as you said. All I need is to focus on one thing, or at the most 2, otherwise I will get all messed up and not have time for doin anything properly. I somehow was afraid that after doing camming for so long, I would have to somehow stick to porn industry , because that is what I know best, but you are so right, as long as I harness all my will power in a direction, even as little as 30 minutes a day to start with, it HAS to work! You said it so well. "This fucking society tries to delude all of us into hopeless, drug-addicted, poor, "realists". Fuck that noise." Hell yes!
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
I am amazed at how many answers I got to my question, you are such helpful people! Thank you so much to each one of you! I love this place! I wish the best of luck to all of us!! Kisses!!
Re: what to do when retiring from camming
do you enjoy creative writing at all or even making fansigns? you can put up a few gigs on fiverr.com and make something off of that! i started a few months back when i was super duper sick for 2 weeks and couldn't do phone sex but wasn't interested in laying around, plus i like writing a lot. that's always a good plan, you can write erotica if you like that's always a good seller on there!

This is what the cash machine book is all about and what I am getting into internet marketing based on reading it and I found a great company that offers training and products and support with a growing community..
I love how they have a webinars 3 or more times a week offering value and content you can start using instantly being in or out of the company network. I am happy to invite anyone to a webinar so they can see the possibilities of what it means to build yourself as a brand , and have access to selling 100% profit products and also a monthly continuity income.
It is proving to me that I can work from home, and not working for minimum wage and get the community, and recognition I've been looking for.
