Talk about your side job!
A couple of my clients are dancers and what I've heard from them is that a lot of other women in the industry do more than just dance or cam. In fact, of the two I know personally, one of them co-owns a landscaping business, and the other one designs small business websites.
I myself have a split income between being a copywriter and a hypnotist. Kind of an off-beat mix but it pays the bills, and it's rewarding.
So what do you do outside of dancing/camming? I'm sure many others here, including myself, would love to hear it!
Re: Talk about your side job!
I just got my Real Estate Broker's license in April 2015. I made dancing my "side job" and now do Real Estate full time. I opted to go the more expensive route of being a Seller's agent from the start. It is harder to find clients, it costs a lot more in education and materials (signs, print media marketing, social media ad buys, direct mail, food and drink for open houses, ect) but the time investment as a seller's agent is shorter and the financial rewards are greater.
I'm at the 16-hour-work-day stage of my new business right now. I'm dancing 5 nights a week and doing real estate 7 days a week. Surprisingly, I don't feel all that tired. I've got my first client already, and am feeling ready to do this for a few months if necessary. Since my first client owns a $400k house, I'm excited about doing business in this price point or higher. In fact, I've built my business plan to work in the luxury home market. In Portland, OR houses are selling very fast, so it is likely to go under contract in a couple of weeks. Closings take a while, like 40-50 days after acceptance of an offer, and I won't get my 1st paycheck until after closing, so I'll be working at this pace all summer.
Good thing I'm dancing, because otherwise I'd not have time to exercise or socialize at all. :)

Wow! Congrats on getting your license and your first listing! I assume you can also represent a buyer as well? I don't really know much about real estate regulations in Oregon but at least here, I think you work with a brokerage at first, but when you start taking on clients, you can do both the buy and sell side.
Re: Talk about your side job!
Since most strippers are very smart, independent and driven, this is true in many cases. I have a side job too in design and production.

I could represent buyers, I just don't want to. The commissions are lower and the time investment is greater. I suppose if someone called me up and begged me to help them buy a house today, I wouldn't say no. I like working with sellers because I have a contract with them, therefore my clients can't be woo'ed by another agent. Buyers don't have to be loyal to a particular agent until they make an offer on a property. Plenty of buyers spend months or years "shopping" before they make a decision, and I just don't have that kind of patience for tire-kickers.
Re: Talk about your side job!
I flip stuff on eBay and Amazon FBA. Even though I quit sending inventory to FBA months ago, I still have passive income coming in from it every week. (Not a lot, maybe about $100-$200 a week) but it's nice that the work I did months ago is still paying off.

Do you still do the eBay part? I personally almost exclusively buy things that are FBA because of the two-day Prime shipping.

What sort of customer service? Do you actually have calls coming in or is it more chat/email based?

See, I'd imagine there would be a hell of a market for guys on webcam since you generally don't see much of it on the major sites.
Re: Talk about your side job!
I also have my real estate license but I am not enjoying it so much. Maybe because I hate people...

Yes I only sell on ebay now because FBA's fees are so high...customers can get a refund without even returning the item they bought...and there is sooooo much competition. Not to mention they would frequently lose or break my inventory that I send to their warehouse. Amazon is great for customers and shopping, but for me as a seller I prefer ebay. I mostly like selling clothes, toys and vintage items so ebay suits me better.
If you have your own product or are in a good area to do retail arbitrage FBA is probably better.

Dancer most times, escort on the side (outside the club of course), hire other escorts as well. I love the adult industry !

I assume you dance more than practice real estate then?

And I thought eBay's fees were rough at 10%. The refund without returning something I'd imagine that could be a giant pain in the ass. I've had one person ask for a refund for their very first hypnosis session in 2.5 years, and I thought she just did it to get a free session. Yeah I was out my time but nothing tangible. Still frustrating though.

You recruit new people to be escorts? Sorry, I'm just not sure if that's what that means or not.

Yes, not always new to escorting, but new to my service. I own an escorting service.

I gotcha, sounds like something like that would keep you fairly busy.
Re: Talk about your side job!
I started re-doing antique furniture & it's awesome fun. Very emotionally pleasing to take something back from the edge of decay and ruin & make it beautiful again.
Re: Talk about your side job!
I watch people's dogs in my home when they go away on holiday. Usually pugs as I have pugs myself and know many other pug owners. I also occasionally handle dogs semi-professionally at dog shows. People from around the country send their dogs to me (again, usually pugs) so that I can show them on their behalf. It is a lot of fun and decently paid, although the work is super inconsistent.

Do you keep the furniture or do you re-sell it? If you knew how to upholster things well, I could see it being fairly profitable!

I resell. My current house is too small to hoard all the pieces I'd like to. But anyhow, it's a joy, it doesn't feel like work.
Re: Talk about your side job!
Until this morning, my side job was as a cashier at a department store. For the past three weeks, I've told them I need at least 20 hours or I will quit. Every week, they've promised more hours without ever giving them to me. Yesterday they posted next week's schedule - again, 15 hours. I called in at 10 AM and told them to fuck themselves.

Good! Businesses sure as hell don't give you 2 weeks notice before they fire you, when they put you in a position like that, why should you give them that courtesy?
