Re: How much do you make?
^^^ I don't know how many answers you're likely to receive, nor can I vouch for the accuracy of those answers. After all, a lot of people visit SW, including the IRS !!!
Re: How much do you make?
^^^really? The IRS comes on here? I guess i'm naive, I didn't know that!
Re: How much do you make?
Re: How much do you make?
I don't see how coming to this site would do the IRS any good, since the true identities of the forum members aren't known.
Re: How much do you make?
Yea I started thinking they would try to look up ip addressess or something. Idk
Re: How much do you make?
The IRS would need some type of warrant to do that. I would think that if a forum member was being investigated by the IRS as a result of something he or she posted here, it would have been publicized here, or somewhere else in the news media.

Jenny, you should answer first;)
Re: How much do you make?
I'm sure irs can hire hackers to figure out forum members identities if they wanted to but I doubt they'd spend resources like that unless someone was evading taxes on a 6 or 7 figure level.

"how much you made?... A hundred thousand dollars ... In 2 days!" Lol!

Furthermore I don't see how other girls telling you what THEY make is really relevant. Hustle hard and work on your own earning potential.

They couldn't do that without a warrant. Any information they gain wouldn't be allowed in court if they didn't have a warrant for it.

I wish that were true. The IRS can easily log in, and they can gather whatever data they want. Further, if they suspect anything, they have an entire enforcement division at the Justice Dept. If those Mumbai escort characters can log in, the IRS can. They usually don't go out of their way to collect less than 12k though.

I'm wondering as a comparision to which sites earn the most etc...
How much do you make per year? I make between 150 and 200k per year currently , that is my half
How many hours a week do you work? I work 20 to 25 hrs per week
What site do you work on? I currently work on streamate only but the first 5 yrs of my camming I worked on ifriends... I switched to streamate because I made more even though ifriends offers 50% and streamate is 35% they still blow ifriends out of the water !
and
What is you biggest tip ever? $1526
and finally
How many years have you been camming ? I've been camming 10 years
How much have you earned in your entire career? Between all sites Ive earned slightly over 3 1/2 million in 10 yrs
I'm not sure why people would not want to answer this although if you don't want to answer don't .. I for one am interested in this it's nice to know what the average is in the business , what sites make the most etc Sometimes sites seem more appealing cuz they offer a higher % but that doesn't mean they generate a higher profit ...
AS far as the Irs Im not scamming them so Im not worried although I highly doubt they have time to be checking these forums lol
I know there to busy to even talk to me half the time

You might get a better response if you did a poll or polls, so that people can answer anonymously.

Obviously I don't have access to SW server stats to prove whether or not the IRS visited the SW website today. However, given that adult businesses are a group which the IRS has specifically targeted for enforcement efforts, and given that SW is a leading 'industry' site for strippers, camgirls, etc., I'd give odds that are better than even money ...
It's probably worth mentioning that, in real world terms, and especially where cash / foreign earnings without independent 3rd party verification are involved, the IRS is able to operate in 'guilty until proven innocent' mode. The IRS can simply claim that a particular person / business owes them more tax money ... and that person is then faced with the choice of either spending tens of thousands of dollars in legal / accounting fees in an attempt to officially prove they don't owe the money the IRS claims they do, or a choice to accept an IRS settlement offer where the person 'voluntarily' agrees to pay the IRS ( part of ) the additional money the IRS claims they owe. Until the person decides, the IRS will be content to seize their bank accounts, place liens against their auto / real estate titles, etc.
The IRS need not disclose the reasons their attention happened to be focused on a particular person. After all, the IRS does some number of audits by random selection. As such, a question of information obtained without warrants never arises, since no charge directly results from IRS attention being drawn, only from financial information the IRS might turn up after their attention has been drawn. Thus a person who is targeted for an IRS audit will probably never know the real reason they were selected for an audit ... and won't be able to establish a direct correlation between a mainstream news media statement or an industry website statement regarding their very high income level and a subsequent IRS audit. However, I'd also give odds that are better than even money that girls who make 'public' statements about their very high incomes in mainstream news media, on an industry website, etc., experience a higher rate of IRS audits by 'pure coincidence'.

Again some basics. During an audit, the IRS can easily go back through three years worth of earnings data / tax returns. As such, being able to collect an additional $4,000 per year or $12k in total additional taxes to cover their own 'costs' of conducting the audit is a pretty low 'hurdle' for girls whose earnings are in the $100k+ range.

Please provide some examples of members of this forum who posted how much they earned in this forum, and were later audited by the IRS.

JEN! You earn more than like 90% of cam girls. The only place that more money could be made is probably MFC, but that may not even be true anymore. People are going to not post how much they earn because 1. People will not believe them and 2. They don't want other models knowing they don't make that much :)
Just my two cents. You rock Jen, if I could do the insane shit you do I'd sooo be a not so good copy.

Thank you for inadvertently reinforcing my earlier point. The nature of your question is very similar to the question the IRS may ask dancers and camgirls under audit ... in an environment of undocumented tips, tributes, and 'gifts', and in an environment of undocumented earnings from small strip clubs, foreign webcam hosts, etc. please provide proof that you did NOT earn money from these undocumented sources that exceeds the amount of other income you reported !!!
Re: How much do you make?
I was working in Indy when the IRS and the Indiana DOR came through town "estimating" tip income and then imputing it to every waiter and waitress they could get a SSN or TPIN for. For whatever reason, they did not target strippers. They took each person, assigned them an "average" tip per shirt, assumed the person worked five shifts per week and 50 weeks per year. Then they figured your income and taxes for the last three years assuming no deductions and no exemptions. Of course they added penalties for underpayment and interest. Bang, there's your tax bill, pay up. Some people were smart and filed amended returns to at least get their exemptions and deductions. Others tried to fight it out and of course the IRS and DOR compromised a little. Some people were accurately reporting and the IRS and DOR left them alone.
I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I heard about all this from a friend of mine who waitressed at Hooters. She got a big bill. Me, I had all my business run through my business account. I had proof of income, and expenses. The IRS left me alone. Maybe it was because I was a dancer and not a waitress. Maybe it was because I was fully prepared. Who knows. But, she got singed and I didn't.
I've been sent a request for information from the IRS just once since. It was about some goodwill depreciation I was taking for the purchase of my business. It took my CPA and Attorney a couple of hours each to give the agent all he wanted and then the CPA had to spend another hour discussing it all with the service. For the value of the deduction for one year, it wasn't worth it. However, goodwill depreciates over 15 years, so, it was very much worth the effort. Of course, I deducted the extra professional services on the next year tax return. :-)

There's no comparison between the two. To prove your assertion is probably true, all you have to do is show a post in this forum where the member stated something about their earnings, and was later audited by the IRS. The fact that you're unable to do this is proof that the IRS does not spend their time monitoring anonymous forums and websites of adult entertainers "looking for tax evaders".
Re: How much do you make?
The IRS has much better things to do, than troll internet stripper forums, spend time and money investigating -possible- tax evaders that might not even be strippers or sex workers, let alone telling the truth, lmao.
Re: How much do you make?
Jenny is asking specifically about income that camgirls make (this one would've been better off if you put it in the Camming Connection forum love), so the IRS looking for undeclared money is a non-issue. Cam income is all documented via digital paper trails, 1099s issued by sites, hell--even paypal and other similar processors issue 1099s for your income. It's practically impossible to hide any money made in camming without giving the dudes your physical address, telling them to mail money to your house, and then doing the show. Basically, for a stripper, escort, or other adult worker, this would be a thread to avoid. For cammers, it's no big deal besides embarrassment/discomfort with disclosing earnings.
That said, I'd need to tally up my earnings. I started working near the start of 2014, so I only have one year of earnings and I did it part time back then. I've already earned double from cam in the last six months of 2015 than I did in all of 2014 combined. Hit me up in a year or so, haha. Although, as of right now, I'm doing $5-6,000 per month across all sites. I'm aiming to get to $10,000 someday soon!
P.S. You're adorable Jenny. You should PM me for the camgirls chatzy info sometime and hang out with us. :)
