Scam?Does Camming Agencies offer housing???
So, I've been looking to roommate in my local area and came across a roommate wanted ad. I guess a camming agencies looking for girls to live in a luxurious apartment. Of course there is rent to be paid but, I guess it's at it's lowest rate. I only ever heard of streammates & camsharks. So, I don't really know to much about local cam agencies. I've been doing research all day only came across a company in long beach doing something similar called materia llc and this one in my area is apparently jadamedia llc. Materia seems to actually have some form of publicity however, I just want to know if it could still be legit. Has any of you ladies signed up with something similar as this that offers housing.?
Re: Scam?Does Camming Agencies offer housing???
Here's my opinion, and maybe I'm uninformed, but... I wouldn't directly connect your housing and your employment. I'd try to keep the two as separate as possible (except, of course, the obvious necessity of paying rent with the money you earn). Say you wanna quit the studio, or whatever it is. Then you're down both a job AND a place to live. Or, they're in a very easy place to extort you this way- if you answer to the same person directly as both your landlord and your boss, you're (probably) gonna have a bad time. Putting too many eggs in the same basket.
My advice? Unless they have a GLOWING reputation and you can find genuine testimonials on discussion boards or something like that (not just on their site), I wouldn't even give it a second thought. It honestly kind of sounds worse than a scam to me- it sounds like a sex trafficking ring, that probably preys on women with no other options, and puts them through the wringer.
Re: Scam?Does Camming Agencies offer housing???
Materia looks like webcamming primarily, but also dabbling in regular porn. I would expect a contract with them to include requirements for both. They seem to be operating in a whole different circle than what I've seen before, and they seem to have quite a nest egg to throw at their marketing (which makes me think lots of smoke and mirrors). I can't find any info on which sites they broadcast though and at what percentage.

iwebcamlive.com is their site, but it seems pretty depopulated. Its a whitelabel for something (European based, maybe off-the-shelf camming site software). We'll keep digging...haven't had one of these in a while.

We found a bit on Jadamedia, seems to be connected to adult entertainment in Columbia in some way. Very mafioso...I'd steer clear but its more by gut feeling than knowing anything solid.

Thank you everyone . Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I didn't know.
