All of this detox industry is a whole scam overall. It's pretty simple: if the body wouldn't be able to detoxify itself, we would all rot and die, lol. That's why we pee and poo :)))) We have the logic in front of our eyes and sometimes we don't see it. I did fall for this shit a while ago, when i realized the logic lol.
As time as we eat healthy food, our body is able to take care of itself and detoxify. Basically, eating healthy is body detox because we don't put junk in it hahahaha!
I'm the same way. I have mini freakouts when i can feel a tiny fuzz on my face, ack!! And i don't want to be touching my face with my fingers (best to avoid that whenever possible). Those cheap, disposable mascara wands are a godsend for brushing up eyebrows and for fuzz removal. I just lightly drag it over the area where i can feel the fuzzy, and voila! It picks it up!
Couldn't have said it better myself. I really try not to discourage anyone from self care, as long as it isn't harmful, because sometimes it's more about the ritual and mild placebo effect than anything else. But seeing stuff like that is just irritating. Yeah, spend your money on a fancy green juice instead!
If you really want a cleanse, simply eat some fresh grapefruit sections, drink a cup of coffee.
Drink water, as the highly acidic gf can bother teeth, also it might be too acidic for some tummies.
This was actually a diet, you can have an egg & toast for the breakfast, Idk what the lunch & dinner diets are
If you take any meds, check w/your Dr.
Grapefruit is very powerful & has an effect on meds.
I try to include liver loving foods in my diet, leafy greens, artichokes, anything bitter
I have had one hell of a time finding a bronzer that doesn't pull orange. Like i've purchased at least half a dozen in the past couple years that just didn't work for my skin tone. Recently got the LYS No Limits Matte Bronzer and HOLY SH*T!!! It doesn't pull orange on me! It's also talc free :D

I ordered some Bakuchiol serum today. It is supposed to be a good alternative to Retinol (which I avoid due to having rosacea) - looking forward to trying it.
Also, my latest random thing to obsess over is the beginnings of neck wrinkles. I've been aware of the importance of looking after the neck for many years but TBH probably have only been half-hearted about it as I didn't see any ageing until recently. I can see some of the 'rings' on my neck look more pronounced, but they're not too horrific - I'm actually just more irritated that the lines are asymmetrical.
I'm sure that's normal but it doesn't stop it being irritating. LOL. I will have adjusted and be obsessing over something else within a few weeks.
Out of curiosity, has anyone used any Barbara Sturm or Shani Darden (or other dermatologists/aestheticians) products?
I do have Shani Darden's face wand. I'll be honest, i only use it when I'm feeling tension in my face, rather than as a daily tool to promote blood flow and whatnot. It's straight up a vibrator for your face and can be pretty intense at the highest setting. I'll say definitely not worth it as an overpriced face vibrator. People say it feels amazing and is so relaxing, but for me, it's like taking my Hitachi and putting it on my face. Not painful, but i wouldn't say that it feels amazing.
I'm sure some people see some results by using it daily, but i find it unpleasant and loud to use...(you're using it on your face, so the noise it makes is amplified, making it harder to do it while watching TV). I'd rather use the Nuface for my device time in the evenings (i use all three heads on the Trinity - the red light in one spot on my forehead for fine lines, the balls on my neck and sides of my face, and the prongs on my forehead and around my mouth).
I'm a BIG Kate Somerville product fan. ExfoliKate is my ride or die face wash. Went from having quite a bit of acne to nearly none in a few weeks and have never looked back. EradiKate is also a great face wash.
Oddly, my favorite skincare product is made by a gastroenterologist. Tula makes incredible products in general, but their pro-glycolic acid toner is jaw dropping. bought it on a whim and nothing compares imo. my skin is so much clearer and dark spots are a thing of the past! Love it!
Wanted to mention that Agency is a competing company to Curology, for anyone looking into online tretinoin prescribers. Worth researching / comparing.
I'm officially buying a silk blanket to put on hotel pillows. I have had this new hair since only November. This is bullshit. It has broken ends from sex and I am angry. This wasn't cheap. My second hair selection is on the way that is blonder and I'm treating it like gold. So angry!! I even put argan oil in it daily, and treated it gently with absolutely no hair washing/ hair drying (it's take out hair for work only). So mad. Lasting this little is RIDICULOUS in the $1400-1600 range for hair.
The one arriving is 1630 bucks. The price changed and I adapted. I'm just so angry!!! I thought I was doing everything right for the hair. I dunno, maybe it's the rough sex. It's not average sex.
I hate my roommates, they use cheap ass pantene prov for their hair and their hair is strong and gorgeous with no hair additions MEANWHILE I can't maintain hair with expensive crap.
Girl, yes, the mechanical damage from that much missionary sex is brutal on hair. And you've been super busy! My hair would be wrecked. Silk should help.
You honestly might save a buck and look into satin / polyester, as it'll likely be even smoother and more silky than real silk. You want something that's as smooth as possible. Real silk is silky, but it's a natural product, so synthetic fibers can't be beat for overall smoothness factor. You aren't going to be sleeping on the blanket you buy, so the skincare benefits that come with real silk just aren't the priority.
Sometimes I think a lot of places have fake silk pillows online because it's cheaper, maybe it's just me being stupid. I read a review online about the copper pillow cases not having actual copper in it and she tested it.
I ended up going with actual king sized pillow cases because the silk blanket was more expensive. These seem nice but my only issue is they say the product is smoother and shinier now.
AHH shit, I just double checked....it says it's a polyester/polyester blend. Not sure why they advertised it as silk and then satin. I'm confused why they're advertising it as silk? Hopefully these pillowcases are as good for hair or do ya think I should cancel the order? I know nothing about these type of things lol.

That's what i was telling you! Real silk is not as smooth as the poly blends out there sold as satin / silk. If you were buying something expensive to use for your home, sure, buy 100% mulberry silk (Costco had 100% mulberry silk pillowcases on sale recently for around $40/pillowcase, which is a killer deal).
But for protecting your hair during sex, a satin poly blanket or similar would probably work better and cost way less. They are much smoother than real silk.
