Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
Have been using up face products that didn't work out for me by putting them on my body after i shower. I'm not great about consistently moisturizing my body, but this has gotten me into a routine. It's satisfying to use those face products up instead of throwing them out, and it's obviously good for my skin!

I don't think the type of oil really matters, though I'm using lighter oils since my hair is fine (argan, jojoba, sweet almond, apricot, Ayurvedic blends...)
Going to try this.

This is a weird obsession of mine. I do not like to waste stuff and am kind of cuckoo with it with beauty products. Like if I end up with a lipstick color I don't really like I will figure what I can combine it with (like another lip color or even eyeshadow) to make it into a color I do like and will use it up that way. I mix eyeshadows to make nicer colors out of ugly colors too to use them up and I will add shimmery eye shadow I'm not using to lotion to make body shimmer.... I would totally use unwanted face products up on my body.

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
Same here, I used all the face products on my body. Then I just stopped trying new things and sticked to what worked for me. Money saved, space saved, haha.
Damn, I desperately need a haircut, my ends are splitting and got thin and I am losing so much hair!!!! Finally my cold is over and next week I'll get a hair cut!!

As a side note, my hair HATES coconut oil. This seems to be uncommon, so YMMV - a lot of folks do very well with coconut oil and oil blends that contain it. It makes my hair feel super dry, frizzy, and coarse after washing.
Just mentioning this in case anyone else has tried pre-shampoo hair oiling with coconut oil and had this issue. Don't swear off hair oiling yet! Try argan, sweet almond, etc.

Very true.
In youth I had "shampoo commercial" hair. NO problems at all.
Now I have to put tons of effort into maintaining my hair.
This is why having a decent hair stylist is worth the money spent.
Beauty random- gonna do a foot massage today.

I've never found the use of coconut oil useful for my hair. For my skin though, it's wonderful :)

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
I guess this is more body related than beauty, but I ordered these ball of foot gel inserts off Amazon. They're designed for high heels and supposedly offer pain relief. I don't know if its because I'm dancing so inconsistently, or because my club is massive and I'm not used to walking so much, but my feet have been KILLING me. Seriously, I'm hoping for a miracle. The reviews are somewhat mixed but they're worth a try because enough people are saying they're lifesavers for people who stand on their feet all day.

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
Has anybody here tried nanoblading versus microblading. I'm so glad I stumbled across nanoblading. It seems like it looks even more realistic than microblading. Has anyone here gone through the procedure?
Update: I'm scheduled to get my nanoblading done on November 5th so I may post before and after photos here if I remember to! Seems like it's really worth it.

I remember reading about having fillers for this area to add 'padding' - I love the idea but not sure how effective it is, or the longevity. I feel as if the pressure would cause the filler to migrate quite quickly.

That's a really interesting idea! Though I wonder about efficacy too ...it doesn't seem like filler would last long in areas with so much pressure and movement. I wonder what it would cost too :O if it was a miracle worker then it would be worth the investment. There are nights I know I could have made more money than I did if I was able to hang in there longer.

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
I just purchased this spray tanning water mist from Isle of Paradise and I'm loving it! It's basically a self-tanner that goes on like a body spray. I was worried it would be a splotchy mess but I actually love the color and it gave very even coverage. Though I used a mitt to blend everything in after spraying. Best of all, it doesn't have much of a scent and the little scent it does have goes away fairly quickly. I personally hate the smell of most self-tanners, so this is a huge plus. Next I want to try their spray tanning mousse.

My hair loves grapeseed and sweet almond - they're lighter oils that soak in nicely and don't make my hair feel frizzy and coarse (like coconut oil does for me).
I've started washing my hair daily, and my hair is so much happier now. I tried to 'train' my hair for years with washing weekly or biweekly - hair training is a myth. If you have an oily scalp, it's much healthier to wash every other day or daily. Washing infrequently just gave me dandruff and some hair loss. Yay! Lol. Getting back on daily washes makes me feel so much better. I can't stand the feeling of unwashed hair.

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
^^ My hair gets soo greasy after day 2 no shampoo. I have an oily scalp and thick hair. I literally can't stand it. Not even dry shampoo helps me. I'm gonna try oil on my ends before washing, since it's getting much longer.
I've found the secret to getting a flawless self tan even with a cheap product. I get the darkest shade in the format I prefer (usually a mousse). After shaving and exfoliating in the shower I moisturize, and when it's fully absorbed and I'm dried off I apply a body oil (usually this one because it smells really nice) all over my entire body + face. Wait a few minutes for that to sink in, then apply self tanner as usual. Even with a lazy application the color is completely seamless and my pores don't get stained. I'm pasty af and tried soo many methods and this is the only one that really works for me. I use a daily tanning lotion to maintain until it's time to reapply.

Re: Beauty Randoms Thread
Elf has an eye cream that isn't very expensive and I have to say that it works really well. I think it's called holy hydration or something like that.
I'm also loving art naturals hyalauronic acid serum.

This reminded me, TJ Maxx has done away with their clearance aisle of beauty products but if you need eye cream, they are the store to buy from.

I did this yesterday, using apricot oil.
My hair is the softest and silkiest it's been in YEARS! Thank You so much Charlie!!:-*
I have long, thick hair, and live in the dry desert, which does a number on the overall condition of my hair.
I even made money while I left it on.
Had both a long cam show, AND a phone sex call.
Lol
This is going to be my go to from now on.

I too have tried the coconut oil thing only for my hair to be a frizzy mess afterwards! Took your advice and ordered some almond oil from amazon. It's getting delivered today.

Fingers crossed! I brush my hair out before i put the oil in, then apply oil, twist it into a low bun or whatever i feel like, and let it sit while i do other things. Sometimes i brush my hair a little bit after applying the oil, to help with distribution. Then wash as usual. I mostly use it to protect my length and ends since i wash my hair daily.
