How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a dance
I'm in a new club, and this is becoming a huge issue. Customers want to see me first on stage and then get a dance. The worst part about this is that this can open the door for some other girl to snatch that customer, especially if said customer did see her stage show.
This is driving me crazy.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
At my club if you get on schedule they put you on stage 4 times in a night. does your club do something like this?
but tbh i feel like a lot of the times when guys say that, that is there excuse to make you go away.. usually if a guy really wants a dance he just says "yes" and I'm pretty sure excuses means no.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
No, their stage rotation is all disorganized; they don't put us on stage unless there's customers. I would sometimes just be on stage on my own when the club is dead.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
It's an excuse IME. I'll tell them "oh we have a rotation and I just went... It'll be another hour..." And if they insist on telling me to check back after, they're full of shit.
C'mon guys, you can tell if we are your type by looking. We're already half naked. Cut the excuses we see right through!
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
Most time it's bullshit for them to stall for time or they never have intentions of buying dances and this is a "polite" way to blow you off.
I try to get them to buy now cause once you walk away, the chances of making a sale with them are slim. Like Selina said, I'll tell them I just got off stage, or if we dance now we will have time before I have to dance on stage.
Worst case scenario they keep saying no or giving objections then I just accept their answer and move on to greener pastures, and when it really is my turn on stage I have them sit at stage and extract as much cash from them as possible to make them hold their word.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
When customers say that I tell them I have already paid the DJ to keep me OFF stage and ask them for a $10 tip to give the DJ so I can be the next dancer on stage (but plan to keep it because the dj just likes me and doesn't put me up unless he has to) OR we can just go in the back for a vastly better dance. I've only had one person take me up on the tip for stage. Once in a while they bite on the dance. If they say no to both, I tell them it's their loss and walk away. I'm old, cranky, and don't feel like dealing with stupid. I would rather sit at the end of the bar doing shots by myself than deal with nit wits these days.

^This. Those guys are usually time wasters, and that line is just an excuse, IME. If it doesn't work, they will just switch to something else (i.e. "I just got here," "Sit and chat a while (for free) first", etc. etc.)
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
ild ask that i get put on stage, ild tell custie the rules are he stays free for when i get off stage and say something cheeky like 'of course il go on stage but the stuff i can do on that pole is nothing compared to what i can do to you, i like a man to feel' ;)
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
Agree the guys who pull this line out are full of shit.
Double points if they 'promise I will come tip you during your set' & triple points if they try to wrangle a song/genre request into the deal.
The only way I have found round this, is if there is an empty satellite stage w/a pole, dragging them over & making them tip for 'their very own special performance'. But most of the time this has turned out to be effort wasted on my part. $5-10 for the 3min or so set (no clothes off or just teasing at it 'Save this for the REAL private show') then getting hit w/ a 'maybe later, I gotta see the rest of the lineup'

I should've figured out the guy was indeed a time waster when he declined the offer to the satellite state and opted to stay away from me during my stage performance rather than tip me on stage. I had have the "I want to see you on stage" line before, but never like this; most of the time the people who had used that line with me do tip me on stage at least. This guy didn't open his wallet for me.
Dang it, I feel so rusty.

Yes, when they say "I want to see you on stage"-
What they mean is: "I'm here for the free tits".
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
Oh god, I can't believe some assholes do this! Some guys like to see your stage show to get an idea of how you might be like in the VIPs or what you look like completely naked. When a guy tries to pull that with me I just tell him my VIP dances are way sexier than my stage shows and you'll get to have my hot body on top of you instead of just looking at it on stage. If he still insists on seeing me on stage, I would just take it as a no at that point and walk away.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
You need to explain to them that you are most likely going to be busy after your stage show and would prefer to take them now so that they will have access to your undivided attention. If they still say the same thing, just say "ok, I'll be back for you in X minutes when I'm done up there" and continue trying to hustle other customers in the meantime. Hopefully you can get someone solidly lined up to take you right after your stage so that muuuuch later you can just come back and say "Hey, I'm ready to take you for that dance now, sorry, I got really busy after stage, let's go!" Guys that pull this shit do not respect your time and need to be shown their place a little bit. By being nice and accomodating their request but overtly dancing for other customers after your show BEFORE them, it shows them that if they are not going to respect your time, why would you respect theirs, next time if they really want a dance they'll go the first time they are asked like a good little boy. It also sets you up in a good position if you think they may be assholes dicking around. By not asking but demanding on the second approach, they will either say yes or no. They can't tell you to come back again later. And if they do go with you, great, you still got the customer, and you got an extra customer or two as well in the same time frame. And if they say no, well, who gives a damn because you didn't prioritise them anyways, and you still made money and came out on top of the situation.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
This happens ALL THE TIME in my club. At least once a night. Now that I'm thinking critically about it, I can't recall any of these guys ever having bought a dance from me after I've gone on stage. What is it with customers and their secret code excuses?! I hate feeling like I need a decoder ring at work. Just say what you fucking mean, weirdo.

Shit, I haven't used the poles we have on the bar in so long, I forgot we had them! Time to dust them off and use them with the offer you mentioned.

LOL. During my first month or so dancing, I had a customer request for a song. He told me that if I danced to it next time I was on stage, he would "make it worth my while." I thought that meant he would spend $$$ in dances. Nope. He comes to my stage and tips me $5. Lol worth my while my ass.
But yeah. I just usually blow off guys who want to see me on stage before buying a dance. As everyone else said, it's bullshit 9 out of 10 times.
Re: How to deal with customers who INSIST in seeing you on stage before buying a danc
My go to response: "I'm a LAPDANCER. I dance on LAPS, not on stage". (Shake head in disapproval / Roll eyes/ act offended).
Continue to close the deal.... "Dancing on stage is so BORING. I need a hot-blooded guy to turn me on......I can't just stand around, grind air and get turned on". Stress that you NEED him under you, now! You need FULL CONTACT asap.
Guys are idiots. I use this line to get away with not dancing on stage/ being lazy up there :)
