Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
Hello! Last night I got really, really angry. A group of three customers had just walked in and sat at the tip rail during my stage dance. One threw a $5. I go over to give them lots of attention during my stage show. Well shortly after a girl comes up and starts whispering to the guy in the middle's ear from behind, probably trying to get a dance. Okay. Hurry up and leave. Then 2 dancers go together to sit next to the other two, Anna and Eva, WHILE I'm naked, dancing in front of them. I know it was Anna's idea to have her and Eva sit next to those customers at the same time. I don't care if they're sitting with people at the tip rail, but while I'm giving those customers attention, wtf?! I thought it was so rude. After that the customers were all talking to these dancers while sitting at the tip rail. None of them were watching while I was naked less than 2 ft in front of them. You can bet none of them tipped after that $5 bill... because they weren't even paying attention. When the song ended I went over to one of the guys in the group, the one who threw the $5 and looked like he wanted to buy a dance from me, the one Anna was sitting with, while naked I told him "I'm gonna come see you :)" I was so angry. After I got my clothes on I tapped him on the shoulder and while walking to the other side of the room, while Anna was sitting next to him. Anna told the manager that I tapped him on the shoulder. Manager told me not to do it again. Okay.
What do you guys think? Maybe I shouldn't have tapped him on the shoulder, Anna just pissed me off so much.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
If any of those 3 chicks did that in my club they would get fined. It is one thing for a customer and dancer to come to your stage together to tip, but that wasn't the case. Soon as those chicks sat down and the guys stopped tipping you should have ignored them and went to another part of the stage or had the DJ kick them to a regular seat.
I kinda let stuff like this go personally. Once a guy gets poached, I just wait for the poacher to leave his side and move in only if I KNOW he has money. Half the time you could have moved on to the VIP room with a different customer by the time that happens anyway. If the customer were really into you, he wouldn't have gotten poached, at the tip rail, the second he walked in.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
This happens all the time at my club because so many girls work there and everyone is really cutthroat. I personally will be courteous and if the girl is dancing I'll let the guy watch her stage show and tip her before I try getting a dance. But especially during dayshifts at my club girls will walk up to the only customers at the tip rail, whisper in their ears, and take them back to VIP all while I'm on stage lol. It's annoying but you just have to let it go.

Should be in Stripping General :)
I hate this stuff. I was always 'taught' that it was etiquette that you do NOT approach the guys sitting at the stage UNLESS they've asked you for a dance after your set, and then you take them elsewhere. Satellite stages are a 'judgement call' based on whether he's actively watching the show/tipping or if he just wanted a table in that area.
Is your club not busy frequently? That could be part of it. If there are other custies to approach, girls would be more likely to leave the stage alone. I was working in a REALLY slow club last month and it was common for girls to come up and chat with/hustle guys at your stage, bc there was simply nobody else to talk to. Still rude and annoying though. There's not much you can do if management doesn't care though :/
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
I think this is a very club-specific thing. No one at my club would bat an eye over a dancer hustling a customer sitting at the stage while another dancer is up there. But, I don't work in an area where there's much stage tipping, so that's probably a huge contributing factor since it's not like the hustle is distracting them from tipping. Still, it's one of those things that you just have to chalk up to 'nothing you can do about it.' I mean, you could make a fuss in the DR, but IMO that's not worth the effort and who knows how much trouble these other dancers will cause -- actually, since THREE dancers did this while you're on stage, is it possible that it's just the norm where you are to approach stageside customers? I guess they could just have it out for you, but that's all the more reason to let it go.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
When the girl comes over naked just off the stage it actually seems physically impossible for me to say no to a dance.....just cant do it.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
Alot of dancers have great snatch. ;D
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
It sounds pretty cut throat at your club. I would try to see if you can sell dances/VIP from the stage. Beat them to the punch.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
IMO I think there should be a rule...no dancers sitting at tip rail. First of all it takes up a chair where a tipping customer could be sitting AND it takes the focus off the girl on stage. I don't work at a club set up that way, but if this happened to me I would have plopped myself down om the customers lap while he was talking to Anna and said something like "I can tell from your tip that you enjoyed my stage performance. Why don't I take you in the back and give you something more personal"?

Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
Its hard for me to give my opinion because I don't know the set up of your club. I would think a customer at the tip rail would be fair game, it's not like you were at a table with him. Since you got in "trouble" with the manager for tapping him on the shoulder I am guessing there is some type of system of going on there.
Re: Dancers Snatching Customers during my Stage Show
It might just be the norm in your club. If it's acceptable, feel no guilt doing the same to them. I hope you aren't using their real stagehands in case they're on here, it may start drama.
