Montreal/Canadian Dancers, personal questions!
How much can I expect to earn on a typical Friday night in one of the clubs in Montreal?
I just started dancing at the end of August and average 600-900 Thursday-Saturday and 300-500 on Tuesdays. These are also 8 hour shifts.
I've heard mixed things about the clubs in Canada. Many dances are around $10 for a lap dance. This makes me nervous because the dances at my club are all $50. Is it a lot harder to make money in Montreal compared to the states? I understand it's legal to sell sex services, but I've never even given a blowjob/hand job, I haven't even had sex with a guy. (LTR with a girl which ended in March) Are these services required in contact clubs in Montreal? My current club is high-mileage so I'm used to customers touching but I'm unable to give these other services.
I'm 20 years old and I'm scared because I'm supporting myself. If dancing isn't lucrative in Montreal I'm considering picking up camming so I could possibly start building a clientele base. I know that you get what you put in with dancing... I'm just not that confident in my abilities to earn the same amount in Montreal that I am at my current club. :-[
Re: Montreal/Canadian Dancers, personal questions!
Montreal is really its' own animal, and I only know info from girls who have gotten tf out of there so take it all with a grain of salt, but:
You're not required to perform any "service" beyond a dance, at any club anywhere. Full contact for $10 is expected though. "Sex services" may be decriminalized (not the same as legal by any means) in Canada but it doesn't mean they aren't still against local liquor bylaws, etc.
It is possible to make money as a clean dancer in Montreal, but it's mostly going to be slamming out $10 dances. Don't expect tips. If you can keep moving, don't mind constant lap hopping, and aren't going to blow all your profits on a bar tab, you'll do fine. It is common for girls to leave in the hole, but honestly there's girls like that at most clubs anywhere.
Re: Montreal/Canadian Dancers, personal questions!
I have friends who have danced in Montreal and although it has a reputation of being more raunchy than other cities, I don't think that you're expected to do extras or that they are even openly condoned by the club management. You really shouldn't do anything you aren't comfortable with. I did hear that dances are usually ten bucks.
Ive never danced in Montreal but I have in Ottawa, which is fairly close to Montreal. A lot of dancers from Quebec work in Ottawa and the rest of Ontario because it is less saturated and they say there is higher money making potential. I don't know about this first hand but that's what I've been told.
Dances in Ottawa were 20 bucks a song, the contact was two way but I didn't find that the customers were any more demanding of extras than in any other club I've danced in. The fees weren't too high (30-40 bucks ... or something like that but it depended on what time you came in if I remember correctly).
I think I made about 500-800 on an average night but there wasn't much difference between a weekend and a weekday. The weekends were busier but the week days were more consistent. This is on average lower than what I am used to making but it was my first time dancing in a bigger city and I was a bit intimidated. There seemed to be girls who were making a lot less and some who were making a lot more.
You should check out the Canada thread for more info about Montreal and the rest of the Canada.

You made 500-800 on average per night in Ottawa or Montreal?
Re: Montreal/Canadian Dancers, personal questions!
Ottawa, I've never danced in Montreal.
I also busted ass and worked a lot longer shifts than I usually do in order to make the travel costs worth it. Like I said, there seemed to be some girls who were a lot more busy than I was and some girls who seemed like they were having really shit nights.
I've had nights where I've made a lot less in other clubs but this is generally a low average for me.
Of course, I hadn't worked there long enough to establish an actual, realistic average. This was also early summer-ish when the clubs weren't as busy as I am told they are in the winter.

I've been dancing in Montreal for about a year now. The clubs slow down a bit in the fall, and around Christmas. But hockey season has started! - so you'll want to keep up to date with when the Canadiens (Montreal's hockey team) are playing, as customers love coming to the club before & after the game. Hockey season runs until May ish. As always, it's hard to predict what you'd be earning but I'm a fairly motivated hustler even though I've only been dancing for a year, so hopefully that gives you an idea ?
My club seems to be dying a bit, so it's been slow. Averaging 2-400 per night and it hasn't been picking up until 9 or 10pm.
Summer is when it really picks up though! Lots of bachelor parties, festivals going on, as well as Grand Prix (Early June). This summer I'd make 800 per night SO easily.
Dances at most clubs are now $15. A few clubs are $10. We have what's considered "high mileage" but they're contact dances. The customer is allowed to touch everywhere except between the legs and underwear stays on the whole time. I don't even grind during lap dances and I still make good money.
Certain clubs are more grimy than others so extras do tend to occur. the cleanest club by far is Chez Paree. Clean, classy, and good money. I've made 4-500 consistently on weekdays. However the management is very temperamental about hiring and their taste in girls. You really have to fit what they're looking for. Also the managers tend to be super strict about scheduling / the girls in general. It doesn't take anything for a manager to start being up your ass for literally no reason - a lot of girls work there sporadically because of this.
Hope I helped, let me know if you have any other questions.

Very helpful. Thx

Depending on the manager, one of them is known for only wanting playboy types, blonde, big boobs, etc. I've been hired though & I don't fit that mold haha. Just mostly "classy", put together, hair done well, minimal tattoos, toned body. When you go in, just dress well, and have your makeup and hair done :)
