Does anyone work both indy and with an agency at the same time? Why or why not?
most agencies do not work with independent ladies - if you get caught they will usually let you go - that is my experience in my area - although years ago in Atlantic city I worked with an agency that also worked street girls - they had a tiered system in what they charged - A - B - C level ladies -- this was before the internet so IDK what it would be like now
Speaking as both an indie escort and an agency manager, if a lady would like to maintain an independent presence, I encourage it *outside* of the area I'm doing business in, going so far as to offer assistance with marketing and booking in that department. Suppose hypothetically I was operating in Chicago and had an independent contractor who lived halfway between Milwaukee and Chicago - I would be totally cool with her having a second persona in Milwaukee. A smart agency wants some escorts doing business on the side because it reinforces the point that they are *independent contractors* and any illicit activity they may engage in is in no way under my control and not something I know anything about.
Also, seriously, there isn't a good way to stop someone from taking clients on the side - sure, you could stop sending the escort clients, but then you're cutting into your own earnings and, IMO, the drama isn't worth it. Just look at the Amber Batts case to see what happens when ho drama gets out of control. Safe, sane, and discreet >>> money, every single time.
