Club Promotional Videos, your experiences..
I was wondering if any of the other ladies have done promotional videos for your club? This new club I started to dance for does a lot of video promos for their upcoming events and I would love to participate. I was wondering if there are more clubs you ladies dance at that are doing the same type of thing. I want to get some ideas on a performance style and see some of best videos you might have ran across. I really have seen alot of difference using social network marketing to showcase my nights. Here is a example
Re: Club Promotional Videos, your experiences..
My club doesn't do videos, but when they redesigned the website, they did a photoshoot to get some of the current dancers up on the website. The manager asked me to participate but there was zero compensation (other than getting to drink at the photoshoot for free lol) and they got all the rights to the photos, so I didn't think it would be worthwhile. They promised to photoshop out tattoos/other distinctive features and not post any face shots, but after the site went live, a few shots where you could clearly see the dancers' faces made it up and it took a while for them to get taken down.
As long as you're ok with having your face/body/dancing out there forever and are clear on the compensation/rights and find it fair, I mean, go for it.

Scarletts cabaret did this for a calendar and the girls awards offered free house feels for two weeks. But when they came in the GM said he didnt know what they were talking about and made them pay. Also, one of the photographers brought in enlarged poster like photos for the dancers to keep of their shoots and again the GM confiscated them to keep and put up at the club.
IMO, makes money for the club, not you really you. Those calendars? We had to sell them during two for ones where we had to offer two dances, charge 35 but only kept 20 of it.
Its fine if you dont mind all that and want a nice video/photo shoot done professionally.
Re: Club Promotional Videos, your experiences..
I've had many fellow dancer friends who've done video and pics for clubs. It never really helps unless you really want to see yourself on a billboard. At one club the house fee was $100 a night, so for the promo girls they would reduce or wave it. Imo it's not worth it bc the club will own those images or videos forever and might even use them 10 years after you're gone. I have one friend who has since retired but unfortunately still has her image up all over Philly and it can be embarrassing for her at times since she dosen't want everyone to know she was a stripper. So always think about the long term consequences.
