Will I be able to fit in?
First time poster, not yet a camgirl but wanting to be one.
I know when most models ask similar questions to mine, they get the response that there is a model for everyone's tastes and thus you will get business even if you aren't everyone's cup of tea. I really want to know if I will fit in and be able to make good money if I put the work it because i've always felt like I was an in-betweenie in terms of weight. Not "fat" enough to appeal to the BBW fans and not skinny/thin/fit enough to appeal to that crowd either. :( It makes me feel a bit bad, like I won't fit in on the site I choose to work on. (SM or MFC)
attached a couple of pictures to show what my body & face looks like, (not nude ofc.)

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Fitting in is so basic. Be YOU-nique!
No one can tell you if you'll make good money but anything is possible with hard work!

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
It's not about fitting in.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Try to STAND OUT instead and youll earn tha $
I think you look great! If you wanna be put in a little box- curvy would be a good fit?
I have the same problem: I am not muscular enough to go for athletic, but not skinny enough to go for slim model. So I put myself in the curvy box too.
AND men love the curves so dont feel bad or shy about it!
Why dont you just give it a try and see how it works out for you? We cant really tell you how you will do; since its more related to character than to physical appearance!

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
It actually can do the opposite, regardless..every guy will want something different. (always a chance) I love the collar on you by the way, kitten play is amazing!

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
You have nothing to worry about! You're pretty and curvy, what's not to like? Whether you're successful or not will have more to do with your work ethic, hustle, and your tech (webcam, computer, internet speed etc) than what you look like. Cam for a few months and you'll probably stop feeling so self-conscious. I used to think there were a million things wrong with me, but then I realized no one cares about, or even notices my flaws.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Hi! I'm not camming yet either, but when I get my equipment sorted and do start, I'm planning to play up all my unique points. There are LOTS of conventionally hot and beautiful models out there, so standing out is a good thing. You look like you can bring some spicy attitude which is great, and I would even say most guys like a medium-sized body with curves.
For what it's worth, when I start I plan to begin on LCMS and SM. MFC is a token-based site that seems more unforgiving/life-draining/full of beggars, I wouldn't be confident touching that until I'm more experienced.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Btw you look young (dont know if you are) which offcourse you can use in your adventage! But beware what age you want to portait; bec if you play up the young girl hustle it can more easily attract creepy kinda dudes and they tend to want to dominate more than having you as the dom.
I started out as 19 when I first started (looked very young back than) but switched ov er to being older quickly bec of above... Just wanted to point it out so you can take it in consideration when you start out and thin k out your cam-persona

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Something cool I learned from camming: There's someone for everyone... and I mean EVERYONE. tall, short, thick, thin, light, dark, neon green hair to mousy brown... Someone will think you are the shit gone wild, and chances are MULTIPLE people will.
I have big natural mixed girl hair and was super ashamed of it until I started camming. I used to spend HOURS straightening it. at one point, it was close to 6hrs a week of just hair straightening. I ended up getting sick of doing it all the time and decided to let my curly crazy hair run free for a show... and they loved it. I banked that night and ended up with a bunch of new custies as a result of my different look. Different strokes for different folks :)

But seriously, you'll be fine, because there is a model for everyone. Appeal to your target audience--you'll figure out what that is once you start--and you'll be fine. Weight is one factor in hundreds that determine if dudes will like you or not. Go watch the top page of SM models on any given night and you'll see thin, curvy, and BBW models, as well as dommes/subs, glamour types and pajama types, friendly versus snarky personalities, etc. The question isn't if your weight is going to hold you back, but whether you're going to let it. Same with any other hang up you can think of.
You're very cute, btw. Put in the work towards research and projecting confidence in yourself as you said you will and you should pull in a nice income.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
It truly is about personality. It really is.
YES, some girls really can sit there and look pretty and get taken to privates, tipped, have content purchased etc....BUT, i'd say the vast majority of girls don't have that ability. It's about building a rapport with customers, regulars, even friends.
Looks can play a role in some ways....but you'd be surprised how far someone can get if they have the right personality and dedication to camming. It's a lot of hard work.
On a side note: MFC is a VERY difficult site to start out on if you're brand new to camming. It can really be hard to deal with the cam score crap from what I understand. SM is probably a better choice....or better yet, you could always get your feet wet and try out MyGirlFund and cam on there one on one with guys AND get 65% payout from the get go instead of 35% from other cam sites.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Lexx you'll be fine. I'm in between weight wise (a UK 12 as opposed to the usual skinny Minnie over here) and I've never had an issue. Guys love my curves and I get the Jessica Rabbit compliments all the time. This look really lends itself well to wearing your favourite lbd on cam :) Don't try to appeal to the bbw crowd because it probably won't work unless you really do have some serious belly, likewise don't try to pass yourself off as skinny. Just be you. As you've already heard there really is a place for everyone x

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Dudes on cam are unpredictable. I normally love my make up impeccable. Then few days ago I was out partying with nice makeup, then I came home went to bed with my make up on (which I never do, but I was way too drunk), then I woke up and went on cam still tipsy with terrible smudged make up messy hair. They were like o m g goddess, and I made great money in like few hours. Go figure....

I didn't get to see your pics but I 100% agree with the bold. SM or MFC?? I'd worked on both and any other site that you can. #MoreEggsInYourBasket #2016Goals

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
I'm Asian, not thin, not bodacious curvy anywhere and older than 30. I work part time hours and make a full time income. I no longer have any debt and I rent a beautiful 4 bedroom house in a cosmopolitan suburb. Trust me, if I can make it this far, ANYONE can.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
I hate to be the only one that's not all You go girl! About it. But, amen sister! The struggle of being in between is real as fuck!
Granted, we're the ones struggling not the customers. One of their favorite things is that we aren't airbrushed. We look real, we have real, individual personalities, and everyone has their own style. Worrying about what category to put yourself in is your (or my, or any other in between type girl) struggle. Because they really don't care. If they're looking for Barbie they're gonna go into her room. If they're looking for you they're gonna cone into your room.
The BEST advice I can give you is to use a profile picture that looks like YOU. Not some airbrushed glamor shot (lol are glamor shots still a thing? Remember that? With the denim jacket? Lmao). Nothing is more frustrating than seeing a girl you wanna talk to and going into her room and being like "ah.... where's the chick from the picture?"

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
You will do just fine once you start camming and get the hang of it , it seems overwhelming at first but you will be ok. Confidence personality and hard work go a long way just be yourself and let your beauty and personality shine through and the rest will follow.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Do you turn heads when you leave the house?
Do men hit on you when dressed up & out at the club?
Men are men.
Do you find yourself sexy?
If you don't then neither will they?
Why, cause I turn men's heads everywhere I go.
Selling, hustling, getting men to do what you want depends upon your ability to sell it. That lack of confidence in that post isn't selling it, sometimes even on cam it takes a while to develop how to sell. Have you studied that part of this biz with all the hustle tips on this site?
15 years ago didn't see anyone really my age at the time 30 or had curves aka bbw body like I did in porn videos or magazines. Cams were brand new back then, so was internet porn. I didn't think, I wont make money because I'm not built like the rest. I saw opportunity.
Quite frankly when I see post like this, is like what I've done is for nothing.
I believed in me. Still do. Confidence sells, not insecurity.
More important to learn how to hustle with all the advise on this site. Many newbies fail because they didn't have a plan in place & learned how to make money on cam. Who ever signed you up failed to prepare you for the work it really takes, but keep focusing on not making money & you wont

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
If you need a bunch of strangers on an internet forum to validate you, then you should NOT cam. You are not ready for what's in store.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
Looks only take you so far. Your hustle is what will make you good money, OP. Good luck! You'll never know unless you try!

I don't mean for this to come off as specifically rude to you, OP, but did you notice that you got basically the same answer as every other girl that has ever asked us if she will make it based on her looks? It's not like we were holding out on those other girls because we didn't have pics or didn't like them or whatever. We honestly CAN'T answer this question for anyone.
There are so many factors that go into cam model success, and while looks make a difference, they are really a tiny, unpredictable portion of the success equation. If you had asked us about almost any other element of success, you probably would have gotten a more concrete answer. Seriously. There are threads about "Is my computer/internet/lighting/cam good enough?" and "I only have x hours to work per week; is that enough?" and "Here's my plan for what sites to work; will that work well?" All those threads got some kind of objective response. If I posted a thread that managed to quantify my exact level of work ethic, I could probably get a solid opinion on whether I'd make it in camming.
I recommend that you keep reading here and make yourself a list of all the things that go into making a great cam model. It's a long list, right? Evaluate how you stack up on all those other areas. That's going to tell you so much more about your chances than this thread ever will.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
I have to admit that I AM self conscious of my body because of certain things I've dealt with, even though I have really been drawn to camming. I'm not sure every cam model that came before me was amazingly confident about their body every day of their life but rather appeared to be, at least while they were on cam. "fake it till you make it," I suppose. Lol.
I'm hoping to change my lack of confidence because I have done a lot of studying up about camming and one of the only things that holds me back is my own view of myself. Anyways, a lot of you made a very good points, especially about a woman's looks being only one of the many components that go into being a successful camgirl. Thanks a bunch to everyone that responded and was courteous about it, I appreciate it a ton. Really.

I don't think I was looking for validation, as much as honest opinions. Though I admit, I was asking the wrong questions. Thanks though.

Re: Will I be able to fit in?
No one is amazingly confident everyday, all the time because we are human after all.
It's not about being perfect or confident all the time, it's about being whole.
Having a negative view of yourself will always be there but loving and accepting who you are, just as you are is a decision. Focus on the positive. Don't let society or anyone tells you what's considered to be beautiful and what isn't. YOU define that!
Camming is a great confidence booster. I've always been confident but now my confidence is on fleek thanks to camming.
I think I'm drop dead WHOREGEOUS and no one can tell me different.
