Spotify all the way! I listen to a little bit of everything. I try to steer clear of sad music though. I do a lot of Lindsey Sterling style music. I also do sexy stripper type songs. Anything with sexy lyrics. I usually play it on my phone or off my PS3. I've got 3 or 4 go to playlists I use.
Agreed with spotify! The subsection fee for unlimited is 100% worth it and their playlists are usually all on point and enjoyable. I've gained serious loyal customers because I just so happened to be streaming certain genres while I was camming.
I'm oldschool and I use winamp. Haha. I used to freak out over what to play but now I figure as long as it's not too much of a mood killer (like, say, Klaus Nomi or Diamanda Galas for instance...) it shouldn't matter much.
The kind of music I play is 'No Music'. I like it as quiet as possible when I cam. #nosoundcamgirlsunited
Spotify... a week or so ago, I saw they were having three months of premium for 99cents, too!
I play everything... but sometimes I'm on cam and forget I'm naked and supposed to be sexy... last night someone said every time they hear Abba they think of me, but it's not my fault someone came in with the username "Waterloo." : )
When I live by myself, I may try camming without music, because sometimes I am hitting the "next button" too much.
Pandora. I usually have it set on MF Doom station.
Spotify (subscription, no commercials) with 5-10+ hour playlists on shuffle that I curate in advance. Mostly sexy downtempo/electronic -- music that I would actually have real sex to, lol. I listen to Spotify Radio when I'm not on cam to find new music, and then add the songs that I like to my playlists. I can't just put the radio apps on without knowing what's coming next, because then I fumble with the like/dislike/next buttons, and sometimes the selections really throw me off.
In general, I play instrumental stuff at a medium volume, as I find having lyrical music is distracting and might also make it harder to understand you when you're talking. I play it from my phone, connected to a separate speaker system on the side of my cam room.
I used to use Songza but it got bought out by Google and eaten up by Google Play Music. Apparently, if you buy a Youtube Red subscription for $10 a month, Youtube becomes commercial-free and you get Google Play/Songza playlists commercial free as well. When Red gets to Canada in 2016, I am so getting it--I really hate the fucking Youtube commercials they annoy the fuck out of me.
^Can't you download adblock? I haven't seen a youtube commercial in years. Unless you mean you do it on your phone.
Adblock screws up the quality of the stream and doesn't work on paid subscription channels. I also found it made videos choppy so it annoyed me almost as much as the commercials. Maybe I will try it again and see if it has improved.
I love heavy metal, screamo, underground metal/goth, decadence and different deep languages. I like Lindsey Sterling type music, but it makes me tired while working..
I am a silent cammer at the moment, but I've been seriously considering bumping what I listen to on my headphones to the internet at large.
Indie hip hoppers won't mind the promo, right?
(If I was confident about it, it would already be happening)
I listen to Spotify as well. I listen to what I damn well please. :0) Some Jackass decided it was smart to tell me (not ask) to turn my music down, so i banned his ass. :-D. Sorry I don't tolerate being told what to do. Wait scratch that, nope NOT sorry.
I listen to my Sony Walkman. Cassette tapes, mostly.:dazzled:
Or Time Warner Cable music stations, switching between different genres, depending on my mood.
Im hearing a lot of votes for spotify premium, doesn't it take a ton of bandwidth?
I usually just play a sexy playlist I made on my itunes with a bunch of twerk music, Aaliyah, and rap I like that can pass as being sexy. I'm also loving Jeremihs new album for cam music, really sexual and chill, poppy hip-hop. Soooo good.
Pandora
I use Pandora, set to my highly customized Flux Pavillion station. I HATE when it's totally 100% quiet so I need some background noise! But I do ask my custies first if they prefer music or none, most don't care, but I have had a couple request total silence.
I'm still pretty green but I've opted to not play anything, because I've noticed an increase in traffic when I skip the tunes. When I've looked in on other cams, the music is an issue. Depending on the site and equipment being used, the music often comes across as low quality muffled noise. I also dislike about 98% of the music choices. Whatever music a model plays is going to play into their brand and image so I assume that the perfect music choice could be helpful, but I think most of that time it is just alienating to the customer.
The music I'm in the mood for changes, but I'm a fan of IheartRadio. I typically alternate between GenX radio (good mix of grunge, hip hop, pop, rock from mostly the 90's) and the Beatles and friends or IHeartRadio cafe station. Both are good for mellow 60's/70's songs that appeal to the older men who can afford me. I have some youtube playlists for when I want to mix it up with some sexy songs.
@Audritwo I'm pretty sure I discovered the Repo song (comeup and try my new parts) via your suggestion on another thread. OMG it gets me in the mood. Love it!
I always play music on the cable music channels. I'm not too big on having a playist set because I'll eventually get tired of what's playing. I'm a big fan of older music 90s and early 2000s r&b so I'm playing that most of the time.. If i'm a little tipsy or really just feeling myself I'll play newer hiphop or r&b.
