I gave up cable then tv and I don't miss it, I have my phone still but I don't see myself ever giving that up. I drink a lot of tea and the microwave is so much faster.
I couldn't. I don't need cable channel but I need Internet, microwave oven,my hdtv, cellphones. I tried to cook a little more these days but microwave is kind of essential to me at home. I tend to order more food than I can finish in one meal. Lots of delicious left over :)
The truth is, I have everything lol

you can check reviws i can see how it can be very useful, but also i think it can break easily too.
i couldnt live without TV, in fact i have 3 in the house, well, thats not much as even in the favelas here, some families have 4....lol
and microwave for me is just to heat things up, never to cook my meal, this one i do in the oven. much better.
I had to live minimalist since I moved out -- I'm talking not even a couch for the first 3 months! When I started dancing I was in uni and after had student loans so...I guess I've just never really spent a lot on myself or luxuries. It seems silly when you are in debt...and the interest rates have nowhere to go but up...I can watch netflix all comfy in bed on my laptop, a TV would require relocating to the living room! lol. I would rather spend money on experiences than stuff. I'm FINALLY taking a vaccation at the end of the summer, nothing too exciting, but it will be nice to not have to work at all for 2 weeks...and also wierd...
Microwave is a lot more utilitarian I think, but not neccessary, I have lived without one, it just means more dishes and more prep time, which kind of makes it very worth it imo...
My house has a microwave built in over the oven. It's combined with the vent. I have used it to boil water a few times. It's faster than boiling water on the stove. BF uses it to "fry" bacon. But, since neither one of us eats a lot of bacon, we certainly could cut out the microwave for that purpose. Otherwise, it's just there to make the house more marketable. TV, I cut the cord on cable a long time ago. We bought a flat screen a few years ago and didn't really make much use of it until we got a ROKU. Now, we use it more than the computers for watching Netflix or Hulu. We spend more time swimming in our neighborhood pool than we spend watching TV and we spend more time at the track than we spend watching TV. Now that my daughter is 12, the pool is a great thing. She practically lives there this summer.
