Non-binary , and all my trans lovelies!
Hello Lovelies!
I'm somewhat new to sex work, and have been researching sex work for about the last six months (once my phone situation is worked out, I'm planning on going in to pso, and then eventually, maybe-I haven't decided-camming. Currently, I'm modeling) or so, and I haven't been able to find a lot of other nonbinary people. I searched stripperweb, and the only thread I found was from around 2010, and it wasn't super helpful.
So, my question is: other non-binary trans people, what companies do you work for? Are they respectful? Do you work as your agab? Or do you just pick a binary gender to work as?
I've been super torn in regards to what to do-should I work under my agab? But then I feel like I'm invading women's spaces. Or do I work as a trans man? But then I feel like I'm misrepresenting and invading trans men spaces. I spoke with one camming person, and they were pretty cool, but I'd like to speak to more if possible. Especially if anyone has any experience in working as a nb person in camming and/or pso.
Thank you so much!

HIIIII OMG THERE IS ANOTHER ONE OF US OMG OMG I AM SO HAPPY CAN YOU TELL?????
Sorry - but trust me I FEEL YOU SO HARD on being a sex worker, capitalizing on being feminized, but actually identifying as trans nonbinary
LET US BE FRIENDS (please if my capslock hasn't scared you away)
Also, the nonbinary sex worker (well the nonbinary community in general) thrives on tumblr - you can definitely find other cool queer sex workers there, but tumblr isn't really that well designed for candid conversation
Re: Non-binary , and all my trans lovelies!
I think even for the most cis person in the world, sex work has its moments that can cause dysphoric times - when your own body is something you are marketing it is hard not to be effected. With making clips and porn, if you want to market as a nonbinary person I think it is possible(check out Crash Pad series for some awesome fluidity stuff and examples).
I am super new to online work, but I have filmed some stuff and made some requests for sexual and gender fluidity with the director - and, it is kind of hard to explain (and exhausting to explain all the time), but so far its going okay. I'm super lucky though cause the connection I have is with a director who is not transphobic at all.
Definitely with the boom of amateur porn and people making clips about literally anything, I honestly think authentic trans identities in porn are super important and are more and more possible to sell!
With webcam - ugh it is HARD. the trans male scene, from what I have noticed, it pretty limited...and with trans women - well, with both - I think the issue is that, if you brand yourself as "trans" then people are going to tune into your shows thinking/expecting/pushing on you a passing identity - because that is what is marketed and that is what cis customers fantasize about the most (specifically the gross fetish cis dudes have for trans women). So, if you market yourself as trans on cam, people are going to expect you to mean "cis passing trans" and 99.99% of viewers are not educated on variations in trans identity - so having that conversation will become taxing on you, lead nowhere cause they usually don't care, and also make you lose sales.
I hate to ask (I really do and I am sorry already), but what are you passing as? Whatever identity you are passing as will most likely be the easiest to market - at least in terms of categorizing you on a cam site. Through social media and stuff though, you can really build your image and promote yourself and who you are and the gender you identify with, and find viewers interested in seeing you for your nonbinary content. That, so far, has been the best course of action for me.

I'm so glad I found this! I have a lot of bottom dysphoria and I find it so frustrating camming with it because I pass as a female (also female bodied) and I hate frontal penetration but it is really requested and what brings the most money so I do it anyway.
I've tried chaturbate and they have a trans tag and I've seen like at least 2 FTM there, but their rooms are usually empty :/

yeah bb :( It's really, really tough in cam - there are a lot of trans performers that do well building the content for their own sites, and I think that is helpful. If you haven't heard of James Darling, he is super cool and is the creator of FTMFucker.com
Watching good trans porn helps me sometimes cause it likes - gives me hope of a better world I guess :D
I worry for you! If it is causing you dysphoria I would say please be careful. Maybe try to contact other trans cam people in your area, that you can perform with? That way you at least have the support of someone who understands your needs.... just be careful, its hard enough to deal with assholes make you not feel worth anything on camera.

Yea I know that FTMFucker site, I saw it for the first time on tumblr I believe.
As for the dysphoria it isn't such a big deal, it is just annoying to have to pretend to be someone I'm not and like things I don't, for the money. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of people seeking ftm on cam sites, that's why I still use the female section

Hey Mimi,
While I can't offer any advice personally, I have a few FTM & non-binary twitter followers who are sex workers. They have been wonderful in educating me on SW from that perspective.

Here is my twitter list, there are some more FTMs on there too. https://twitter.com/SaucyMktg/lists/men/members
