Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Has Daily Pay changed their policies?
I tried leaving Daily Pay on Streamate, and they told me that I could leave... but I would have to start an entirely different account! I've been on Streamate for a little while, and already have regulars, favorites, ratings and comments. They want to delete my account! What gives? I though we could leave if we wanted to?? Have any of you had this issue?

Hi, im very sorry if you didnt know already, but there is no way to keep the account and not be on DP sorry. There are very few sites that allow this (Adultwork is the only one I can name off hand), please confirm with SM if you wish.
If stopping DP the account also closes, there is no way around this.
We are fortunately one of the only studios that do allow you to re-sign up on SM by yourself, while most other companies dont allow you to re-sign up. If you did SM would decline your account. As its default for SM not to allow you to re-sign up you do have to let us know you are re-signing up or SM wont let you.

Thanks

If you decide to leave dp or any studio you have to start a new account. If you had an account before dp SM will probably reopen it for you.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
I feel I should be able to comment on this, but TBH we have no idea. The procedures regarding a lot of these things have changed lately with SM (in the last 2 months or so) and for us its been trial and error to figure them out. At this point I would email Liz's team for more clarification, but that actually seems correct what they wrote from our experience.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
To add I cant remember exactly what but somethings can be transferred to a new account. Before you have your account deleted tell your regulars that you will be changing your name. I was on dp(pj daily pay) years ago and before I left I spent a good week telling and reminding my regulars that my name was going to be changing and what I was changing it to.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Thank you guys for your replies.
I'm devastated :( If I would have know daily pay would do this to me, I would have never signed up. (I would have danced instead of camming when I was short on funds)
I feel very scammed.
I'll try Liz and keep my fingers crossed.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Daily Pay have not scammed you. This is how things work with studios and it's Streamate's rules. Be glad that Daily Pay let's you leave without restriction. With most studios you have to wait 6+ months before you can sign up with a new account.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Perhaps they didn't scam me. Maybe they wrote their terms, and I never saw it. I am, of course, grateful they allow models to leave without having to wait 6 months. I'll give them that.
I just wish they would have been more clear about being able to leave without deleting everything.

You would think that SM would WANT their studio owners, especially the ones like you, to know when they change things. How is it helpful at all to keep you in the dark?

Several of us have had to create new accounts in the past couple years, and a few were able to keep their names. They just made sure to talk to Liz first. They kept their name, all their active favorites were transferred to the new account, and they just had to regain the 5 stars which takes something like five 5 star ratings in 3 months or some thing stupid simple like that. You won't have new model status, but Liz is pretty willing to work with you if you're polite and not a constant pain in her ass.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Usually if you are under a studio you cant leave the studio with your account unless they approve it. Most of the time you have to close your account and wait 3 to 6 months to open a new one. Most studios have that in their contracts and most cam sites will respect that since studios bring them a lot of performers.
They say they allow you to sign back up right away under a new account, so that's a plus.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
Well, depends on your definition of 'scam.' I don't think the studio has done anything against you, so much as SM changing it's policies. I'm with BM and I've talked to Katy about leaving now that daily payments versus loss of revenue has tipped towards the later for me personally. When I joined her in July 2014, it wasn't an issue to have the account directly released to independent status (or, at least, that's the email I have in my message history right now). When I checked in a few months back, Katy told me Liz was no longer doing the transfers due to high recidivism I believe (correct me if I'm wrong Katy; didn't wanna dig that far into my skype chat history at the moment). That's on the site, not the studio.
So, right now it seems that, in general, models no longer have direct release of their current account to independent status. I do know of one exception, but that was a fairly special case.
To be clear--the policy up until recently based on what I was told, with BM at least, has been direct release of studio accounts. Again, I'm going off the emails I've made back and forth with Katy months to a year back on that one. I mean, it was an advertised perk when I signed up, so yeah. I really liked having that option available and, from my understanding, OP has a right to be upset with the sudden change because losing a current account is sort of a big deal.
Now, without meaning to rock a boat or upset anyone, I would like to comment that there have been, shall we say, grumblings in private amongst several daily pay models I personally know in the last few months who found out about this policy change through the grape vine instead of through their studio. The general consensus I've been hearing has been to the effect of 'look, we get that it was SM that did this, but a heads up when Liz made it clear release wouldn't happen anymore would have been nice so we could maybe have left right when it happened instead of being stuck losing our current accounts now that we've built them up.' Just throwing that out there.
$.02 and all. Love you ladies.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
I really appreciate all of you for responding to this thread.
I guess it's not the end of the world, I just would have like to know that leaving Daily Pay would be causing issues. Transparency in any company, studio or big box site, is always nice.
Daily Pay really is a wonderful service! Being able to get payments every single day in exchange for 5% is a sweet deal! I just feel, sort of ripped off, because I thought it would be easy to leave if I wanted to. That's the only reason why I signed up. *But it also my own fault for not reading the fine print.* Scam may not be the right adjective. I was just venting and frustrated. I feel like something as important as *possibly* loosing an account/ratings/customer notes/customer reviews etc.. when leaving Daily Pay would be more clearly stated when signing up. Lesson learned, read fine print and ask questions before committing to anything.
Thank you everyone! I also wanted to thank Katy for sending me a Pm about Liz. All hope is not lost, and I may be able to keep some of my information during the switch. That would be amazing.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
I'm sorry Isabelle, we'll see what we can do.
The last "official" anything Streamate told us was that models could be released in full, this was the policy since we started and DP had that blowup 2 years ago. To be fair, its only happened that a model left our studio about 5 times in the last 2 years and each time has been a completely different thing. Our most recent was released in full without issues and with our blessing. Liz has considered each one on a case-by-case. Our only guarantee is that we will happily and speedily give you any release or blessing that SM requires. Whether they make you create a new account (2 cases we know), re-open your old one (2 cases we know), or give you full release (1 case we know), we have zero idea except that sometimes we're asked for a release and sometimes not. It just doesn't happen that often and no "official policy" since then has been clarified. If you asked at any given time, we told you what happened with the very last case we knew about.
What we can guarantee is pretty much the same thing as above from the other DP studio. You will get a speedy release from us, and generally you will need to create a new account (or re-open an older one). What other deals you can make directly with SM and what you can transfer is no longer about us, and that's how SM works. Once we release you as a studio, SM considers anything past that none of our business.
Re: Yikes! Daily Pay doesn't allow models to leave their studio!
I think that's excellent clarification to have Katy, because I was definitely thrown by how much it's changed in the last few convos we've had about it. Again, I think that's on SM, not on you, and I don't want to cast any negative light on your services. You've been good to me and every other model I know. This thread cropping up + your follow up comment that it's totally random now just made a comment seem relevant and worth raising for clarity.
