No way to block models on SM because there's no way to know they're models. Anyone can create a customer account.
Surely it wouldn't be that much of an issue on SM? If you're in normal chat, no one else can see them so you can just ignore them. If they're in party chat, the only way they would be able to advertise themselves would be to announce themselves, at which point you could just ban them or kick them out? I'm assuming it's them stealing customers that's the issue.
Guilty of creepin on MCF and CB lately just because I'm still learning the site. When possible on MFC I ask the model if she minds me observing for a bit, they have all been very friendly and helpful. CB is a different animal so it's harder to ask if she minds without distracting from the room or drawing attention to myself.
Personally I don't mind models coming in and saying hi, honestly. I'll generally ask them a few questions and find out what they like do do and let the guys in my room know about them. I'm not a "does everything" type of model, so I like to be able to recommend other models for guys who ask for things like submission, anal, etc.
There's no such feature on Streamate but I don't get why any model would want to go into another model's room while she's working unless it's expected.
I find it so rude and intrusive. You just KNOW when it's a model.

Using a member account is best when "creeping". I prefer to call it girl crushing. I always tip to show my appreciation. I figure the good karma will return tenfold...weirdly it does.
I have my favorite models that I watch. I find them quite entertaining and they make me smile. I treat them very well. I don't announce that I'm a model. I don't want to freak the girl out and throw her off of her game. Now, I do have model friends who know my customer name. We go into each other's rooms to chat when it's slow. One thing I DO despise is if a model comes into my room under her model name. I don't mind girls coming in, but change your name. I find that rude.
People will have different opinions on this topic, and I respect that. I feel like rather than going in a model's room announcing yourself as a model, it's best to either watch in guest or basic mode (though you probably won't be able to chat in those modes)...or watch under your premium account if you have one. With your premium account, you could even send her a small tip, and leave a tip note (not visible to the other members) saying "Hey, I'm a model too. Just wanted to say hi!" By asking her "You mind if I watch you for a bit?," in public chat, you're kind of putting her on the spot and sorta forcing her to say yeah, it's fine.
I don't cam on MFC anymore, but I used to have model accounts blocked from my room. It's not just about the few models who came in my room being competitive, disrespectful to me, and trying to advertise their shit (I banned them). I have nothing gainst fellow models visiting me, but I'd rather they visit under their premium accounts. I don't like the way some members get when they realize there are two models in the room, and I don't like seeing comments about which girl is hotter...or that we should do a g/g show sometime...or members getting silent on me to spend 10 minutes flirting with the other model and asking about her raffles and whatnot. And I remember one MFC member actually made a rude remark about my model friend (about how she looks) during one of her visits to my room. :(
I'm glad that MFC at least have the option for models to block other model accounts from their room, if they wish.
I don't mind a model coming in and saying hi. But if they are going to spend more 5 minutes talking to me, tip me. I would do the same. I just hate it when a model comes in and tries to ask for advice while I'm hustling.
I spend a lot of time freeloading on chaturbate - something about couples cams gets me and I love the exhibitionist accounts, like why are they doing it for free lol? I figure it's my payback from all the people who've watched me get naked and masturbate for free on MFC cuz others have paid. I tip small amounts f I'm in a girl's room and members are being rude, would love to have a private with someone but I know too well it's a waste of hard-earned cash. Weirdly enough, tipped a girl £2 after watching her in free on AW for around a minute...she said thanks but she seemed offput, probably because I had model in my name and was messing with her juju.
Seriously though I think girls should be nicer to other models in their room, be grateful that they chose your room to learn from, and also bear in mind they are potential customers if you butter them up right.
MFC is different from SM. All I'm saying is don't be a distraction to models while they're working. Don't come in asking for a feed check, placement check (unless you ask them on skype first if that's okay) or saying 'it's so slow'. Don't make models feel like they're being check up on.
I say hell to the naw when other models enter and announce themselves. Nope its not nice. There are way too many negatives that outweigh good intentions. And because of this it can mess up the flow. This is why I say hit me up on twitter and then immediately ban them. Because i dont know what they may say next. And when im focused i dont care. Recently I had some one enter my room complaining about placement. I don't need to hear this while I'm trying to make money. Like what am I supposed to say to this?
Observe. Tip. Move on. I've noticed I've gotten a lot of drive by tips too. I imagine those are other models because thats the sort of thing I do with chicks I like. If I see them about to lose their shit then I log in real quick and tip them. Just be discreet.
Also in most cases unless its AW all u have to do is open a new browser and observe from the outside. Why does anyone have to enter the room unless your spending money? And those camboys/fuckbois that come along Dear Lort
I perv the girls I enjoy watching, but had my member account on SM canceled because I was spending too much on gold shows. LOL I won't announce myself just watch a short while because I don't want the model to feel uncomfortable. A couple models I like on CB have asked me to announce myself and my name is right there. But I'm respectful and don't want to be there too long. I don't mind at all a model saying hello and watching me. It's a mellow funny room on SM for me BUT LOL She gonna see A LOT of me during a public freaky Friday show on CB!!
I do have one model I liked to watch on FreeWebCams/CamCity, but I haven't told her I'm a fellow cam model because well I don't want her to think it's rude like you all have mentioned lol, or insult her in any way. I genuinely enjoy chatting with her. We have similar room methodology. Only one (that I know of) ever came in to see me, but she acted like a child sooo /kicked
Just to clarify, I came back another day to tip her for her time = ]
I have a premium account on MFC and I tip models I enjoy watching. I don't tell them or their room who I am though unless the model asks me via PM.
Hi, CharlieTen. I apologize if I'm reading that wrong, but are you implying that those of us who've had model accounts blocked from our rooms are not nice? What I am grateful for is cam girls who are fun to talk with, considerate, respectful, and not trying to steal my shine. A fellow cam girl who is being friendly, not being competitive, and participating in my chat like everyone else without giving herself shameless plugs (I don't care about your 'Fuck a Fan' raffle...lol). And I will not be "buttering up" a cam girl, but I will treat her with the same respect that she treats me. :) Also, I think you have it backwards...girls should be nicer to the models whose rooms they're visiting. Many of them are great, while others don't understand chat room etiquette (or they simply do not care). That also means not waltzing into my room PMing my tippers behind my back...and not yelling at my members "Tip her, you cheap bastards!" :P And not saying things like "Wow, it's really dead in here." Gee, thanks... Lol. Chat room etiquette. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but your post kinda sounded like you were calling some of us not nice. I think many of us here are very nice, and show great restraint. I've had to bite my tongue so many times for fear of coming across as "bitchy."
Agreed but agreed even more with what I have in the bold.
Now let me put it bluntly, when I am working please leave me the fuck alone ;D
I don't "butter up" or fangirl any cam girl and would not want any models as customers because I only perform for men. I ban all girls. Be it regular customers or models.
Sometimes it's perfectly okay to be #petty. #stricktlydickly #letshaveakiki

^Marina, my favorite YouTuber (ThickChickVlogs a.k.a. ThriftingThickChick) would sometimes used the phrase 'kiki' or 'kiki-ing', and I never knew what that meant. LOL.
