Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
I love this thread!! I'm about 5-10 pounds fluffier than usual and since I"m on the shorter side 5'3" a few pounds will show because I have less room to put it... and man, it affects my money at the club. I'm making about half as much as usual. Need to get that shit under control.
I know most of the stuff on this thread has to do with improving your body and looks in general, and if you're hot, it doesn't matter what you're wearing, but I do notice I make a lot more and have more guys tell me how sexy I am if I'm wearing strappy lingerie. I feel like it kind of looks fetish-y without being fetish-y and just makes guy's dicks tingle a little bit. Also I like how high-neck lingerie looks, but I don't think guys like it. I read somewhere that guys find it most attractive when your collarbone and decolette are exposed.

Yes very true indeed~The collarbone's connected to this whole idea of slimness or elegance. It's called the nothing but neck effect. It's works well with you're hair up or shorter hair.

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
Also if you're pressed for dough you can make your own scrubs out of sea salt and oils (evoo, coco, tea tree)
You can also do your own facials with milk, honey and sometimes baking soda

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
^Homemade masks tend to be better than store-bought, IMO. When you buy something at the store, it may have a microscopic amount of healthy product (for example, green-tea extract as the last ingredient listed in a paragraph of crap). But at home, you can control what you put into it.
I love making a quick scrub with jojoba oil and vitamin-C powder (cheap!: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005VEE5YM). Vitamin C is water-soluble, so when you mix it with an oil, it doesn't dissolve. It just makes a nice, gentle, effective scrub. I leave it on for fifteen minutes after scrubbing (gently, in circular motions), then wipe it off with a warm washcloth.

I posted this in another thread, but I should also post it here.
...Apply your foundation with a sponge, NOT your fingers. Dot foundation all over your face with your fingers, then blend and pat with a makeup sponge. If you've been using your fingers, you won't believe what a difference it makes. I use a sponge to apply primer, now, too.

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
Does anyone know of any good sunscreens to wear under makeup? So far I've tried Neutrogena spf 30, Biore aqua rich watery essence, Olay moisturizer with sunscreen (made me break out), spray on ones (couldn't stand their strong chemical smell) and a few others. Most make my foundation powder clump when I apply it with a brush.

I use neutrogena anti wrinkle cream with retinol that has spf 15, and I think they make them up to spf 30. It's great! I just turned 30 this year but I decided to go ahead and start using anti-aging creams. Just give it time to sink in and dry for a couple of minutes before you put your make up on. I'm outside every day and no sunburn yet (and I'm really pasty white.)

I use Murad Invisiblur SPF30

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
A wrinkle cream with built-in sunscreen. I know you look really young, but I believe in catching it before it falls.
-
Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
I already mentioned this on another thread, but will put it here too...
Drinking rosehip tea keeps the skin looking young. It slows down aging and improves collagen. Also, applying the teabag all over your face will firm and tone it. So don't get rid of the bag after drinking it.

Tea!!! Where have you been all my life? Haaaa I didn't see the post above until after I wrote this!

Small pores.
I posted elsewhere but Makeup Forever makes an amazing primer that makes pores invisible. It's their Step 1, #2.

Teeth are a huge deal. I don't have the balls or money for veneers, but well-done veneers really make a difference in someone's look. In the club, superwhite, perfect teeth majorly stand out.
I'd love to get invisalign in the future. For now, I just whiten my teeth and take very good care of them (flossing, brushing, Listerine mouthwash 2x/day). I don't have a particular product I'd recommend to someone else for whitening alone. Each product seems to have upsides and downsides and works differently depending on the person.

I'm obsessed with YouTube lately and found a lot of "haul" videos mentioning the insanely good quality vs price of this site: www.shopmissa.com
Everything is $1 !!! Including tons of sheet face masks. [home -> cosmetics -> face & body -> skincare]
Some other tips of mine (since I'm just sitting here with my notebook stealing sooo many good tips):
1) Go vegan/plant based diet.
I know...lame tip. But really, there are so many insanely good studies (look into the Harvard doctor who started research on what would eventually become the rockstar anti-aging drug Reversatol, he was initially baffled by the extremely slow rate of aging in people who ate only about 1000-1500cal/day of super high fiber nutrient dense fruit & veg) backing this up. No cream, no mask, no surgery, no treatment will ever beat broccoli. Even if you can only do it Mon-Fri and take the weekends off, better than nothing!
2) DIY it!
As mentioned before, making the stuff yourself has often proven to be better bang for your buck in getting really potent beauty products. There's one site I'm crazy about: www.makingcosmetics.com . The quality control is phenomenal and you can find things like pure dimethecone (the key ingredient of hair serums//Morrocan Oil is just dimethecone + apricot kernel oil), and lupine protein, the first substance found to actually reverse sun damage and enhance the efficacy of sunscreen. Fingers crossed they add larch tree extract.
3) Dove Spa Strength Within tablets
Holy shit. Also really good research out there in the BBC documentary "The Truth About Aging" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZeP...&nohtml5=False
4) If you're looking to get a flatter tummy in an hour, barre pilates literally sucked by gut in concave for three days after my first workout. My abs had been terribly out of shape so couldn't really move the next morning. But I laid there in pain looking quite sexy. It's an intense exercise that requires minimal equipment so I highly recommend finding YouTube videos for a free "personal trainer" :)
5) I actually just found out about this today so I can't 100% vouch for it yet, but if you're always looking for nice new things to wear to keep your clients interested, Rent the Runway Unlimited might be perfect? It's $140/mo and you pick 3 items at a time, ship them back when you're done, and pick another 3 which should arrive in about 2- 3 days. (So its not 3 rented items for the whole month, its just a max of holding 3 items at a time). https://www.renttherunway.com/unlimited
6) I think big eyes are one of my best features, here's my fave big eye tutorial on YouTube, super good tricks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d1z...&nohtml5=False
I believe the same girl has a "huge lips" vid too.
7) MORE YOUTUBE (god, I should go outside...) Fave "here's all the secret trick things MUA's do that we aren't telling you about" video...Willam Belli! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7ub...&nohtml5=False
8) A little bit of baking soda+water+asprin is sort of a mini at home microdermabrasion (but maybe not ideal for sensitive skin)
9) Shea butter and/or olive oil layered on thick before bed and you'll wake up with the softest skin ever...try to put it on right after the shower if possible (hot steamy skin absorbs better)
10) Co-washing hair, once or twice a week only --- my fave co-wash is Shea Moisture. Also not really washing your face with tap water: I use an Avene cleansing cream. Micellar (sp?) water is a similar concept. Check if your water is "soft" or "hard" - hard water can be damaging your skin and hair! Oh, also this: http://www.garancedore.fr/en/2014/04...ash-your-face/
11) If you must wear foundation, Jane Iredale. I've sworn by it since I was 16 (but I'm also a weird shade most lines don't have). But when using liquid foundation/a heavier look, do all your "base" layers (concealer + foundation, etc) then take your quick bath or shower in not too hot water, the steam will let your heavier makeup set looking more natural than cake-y.
12) Xylitol for making that just-got-my-teeth-cleaning-at-the-dentist sensation/freshness last forever.
13) Retin-A every night for 3 month intervals. I even mix it into a body lotion, but you must keep it air-tight! Of course, SPF always and extra SPF with retin-a
14) Drink twice as much water as you think you need. Drink seltzer with fresh fruit if tap is too dull.
15) Force yourself to exercise. I'm using GymPact! If nothing else, at least do weight-bearing or body weight exercises. Just a couple hours before a photoshoot or audition plus something with a high sweat potential (bikram yoga) can make a huge difference in appearance.
16) Possibly TMI but...I have a little sweetmint extract that I dab on my hip bones and on my inner thigh just below my pussy. Men find the fresh but ahem..natural scent, alluring. Also, putting coconut oil in my vagina nightly.
17) If you're going to be doing a photoshoot in any sort of clothing, its worth it to get those clothing items tailored. Even t-shirts, but especially dresses.
18) If you want better teeth but braces are out of reach, Smile Direct Club *might* be a really good option. In addition to scouring Groupon for teeth whitening. Actually, check Groupon/Living Social first for any spa treatment type deal.
19) Certin-Dri at night plus Hibicleanse after AM shower so I never sweat or have any odor. Gross, I know, but I seem to get stress-sweat pretty easily.
Talking about stuff like this is super fun, I agree. IDK if any of you guys used to lurk the blog jetsetbabe.com , but there's now a Facebook group you can join of the same name where topics like this get discussed quite a bit. Yikes, okay, I've ranted enough!

FAKE LASHES if you're not already wearing fake lashes then start. I can't work without them, even if it's just the Ardell demi wispies for a "natural" look. Men can't even tell they're fake.

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
Constantly following trends yet also maintaining your personal style. I know people say men, for example, don't care about these things, but I feel like that couldn't be further from the truth. Men notice and compliment me all the time when I change something up or try something new.

The above tutorial by Stephanie Lange on youtube is quite good. It shows instagram makeup (heavier, suited to the club) vs clean, light everyday makeup.
She has some more in depth tutorials as well. Not gospel but I thought she had some great points.

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
My couple of tips: SUPPLEMENTS.
For shiny hair I take Brewer's Yeast tablets every day. These are given to pedigree dogs to make their coats shiny at shows but they work on humans too.
To get rid of cellulite I take KLB6 tablets which are kelp, vitamin B6, cider vinegar and soya lecithin in one tablet. You can also get these separately but you need to take all of them every day so the combination tablet is better.
For my hair and nails I also take Biotin tablets which make them grow faster so if you are trying to grow your hair this can help.
Cod liver oil is good for joint health and Omega 3 and I take a teaspoon of the oil every day (you can use capsules but I love the taste of the oil - mmm I could drink it!)
Oh and a good multivitamin, I use Centrum chewables.

Re: How to Get Ridiculously Hot
This one is common knowledge. Make sure the water is not hot when bathing or showering. It can cause your skin to age prematurely. I love relaxing hot showers, so I have to keep reminding myself of this.
