Veteran Dancer Returning After 2 Year Hiatus
Just found my way back on the pole after being away, living out of state, for 2.5 years.
I've danced since 2010 at roughly 8-10 clubs around Los Angeles, San Bernardino, SouthBay, and Orange County (as well as a brief stint in Colorado).
Loving being back and the energy I get in the club that honestly cannot compare to anywhere else.
Also used to be a certified pole fitness instructor as well - working to regain the strength necessary to do my old tricks (its not just like riding a bike!)
However pleasantly surprised with how natural the hustle and overall mentality has remained.
Happy to provide any advice to newbies, and also very excited to become a more active member in this forum.

Welcome. I have the same feelings about the club, so I'll have a comeback after 4 years during muy vacations, so ot will be like some sort of "fix".

You're right it's not like getting back on a bike! I'm from LA and have danced here. Where did you teach? Also, I've been a pole competitor too: PPC 3rd place 2014, and PSO Nationals, 3rd place last year. Level 4 and Level 3 in that order.
Re: Veteran Dancer Returning After 2 Year Hiatus
What are some of the best clubs to work at for girls who are a little thicker with good hustle?
Re: Veteran Dancer Returning After 2 Year Hiatus
It's all about the hustle, and all customers have different preferences. How thick are you talking about? It's also up to management...
The managers that "prefers" the tanorexic and barbie doll look would be: New York, Las Vegas, Miami, LA
Men who embrace the curves and the managers that do would probably be:
Atlanta - Club Onyx, Magic City, the cheetah
Dallas, Austin,
As far as California goes, I would avoid LA
San Francisco - Little Darlings, Hungry I, Crazyhorse (depends on the manager really)

Thanks HempGoddess! I have of course moved out to LA with the bf so now I'm stuck, but I've found a couple of places. It's always tough for me to get past management unless I'm a little tipsy and flirty.lol Each time I've tried it sober, I get a no. I guess I just get too nervous. I miss Texas! I use to dance in Austin. I didn't know how good I had it! I'd love to try Atlanta sometime.
