Re: Could I make a living just by selling content? Is it doable if you are consistent
Anyone use an ipad for recording, editing and uploading? I was thinking of getting one for my business venture and then it dawned on me how much easier it may be for me to also use it for content. I wouldnt store it on the ipad and eat up my memory but I could at least take video, edit and upload all in one place.

I'm giving it a go on Samsung Galaxy phones. I have a 7 that I was forced to upgrade from when I switched providers, a 9 with a broken speaker that only affects phone calls, and my current 9. A nice memory card is like $50. They can also record very good quality videos. I haven't gotten to the point of processing and uploading, but I've been playing with different apps. I think you'd want a basic video one for cutting that also allows you to add a logo and switch formats, one for creating gifs from the watermarked video, and one for watermarking pictures. Also with three phones I can record 3 pov, this 3 videos at the same time. I was hoping to try things out today, but haven't been physically up for it. Maybe after a nap.

I read the whole thread, thanks for all the tips and inspo!
Re: Could I make a living just by selling content? Is it doable if you are consistent
I read this whole thread as well. I was wondering what the current climate is like (I know it is rapidly changing) for clips? Does anyone use PornHub to gain traffic? I was considering putting up previews of my content for free in hopes that they follow my links.
Right now I'm only on MV (and sm), have sucked at getting content up regularly, and have noticed a shift in fetishes. Like, none of my fetish/gooning content with full pussy is doing as well as just topless or clothed. I used to do well with close up POV pussy worship. Now it's like... legs and boobs? I'd love to discuss the current strategy here. IWC still hasn't approved my new account that I created in December. c4s keeps giving me errors, and I need to get with support.
Any other recommendations?

I haven't done tube site marketing as of yet- but plan to give it a try.
One strategy that has been mentioned on here before- is to take 2 or 3 days of the month to shoot a bunch of content- I did this last week and I am seeing a rise in video sales. Consistency upload has been one of my weak points.
I started off by brainstorming ideas for videos, planning them out, then shooting, editing, making previews and gifs, and then uploading.
The shift in popular fetishes seem to come and go in waves. There is also the customer base that has the main fetish/niche that they are into.
As far IWC- try reaching out-I think they are finally out of the backlog. It was taking forever to get my old clips into published status- they finally got approved, and my new clips got into approved status within a day or two.
With C4S- did you fill out the compliance thing?
If you have a good amount of regulars- try ModelCentro and buy a domain name with your performer name (that's not necessary- but it can make it easier for regs to find you.)

Yes, I think I just need to call support for c4s. Since it’s that time of the month, I’m filming the next few days. Great idea. I’m hoping to see more traction with regular uploads, but I’m a bit burnt out from camming 7 days a week. Hoping using today as a rest/plan day will help.
Thanks for the tips. Definitely going to look into model centro. I’m just going to make whatever I usually get requests for on cam— someone will buy eventually.

For me Pornhub has been totally worth it. I have some full length fetish vids and a lot of previews and have gotten several well paying fans from it.

Sounds like you should expand the fetishes you do. Nudity with fetish is a choice but in my experience it's totally not needed. You can make $$$ without having to get nude. Check out the non-nude threads on here. What I use to do was checkout the Top Studios and Top Clips on the c4s homepage and via categories >> https://www.clips4sale.com/clips/categories. I looked at the categories that sold the best and the style of domination the models did. Based on that is how I choose the main categories I did. So like my main clips were domination, foot fetish, ass worhsip/booty domination, financial domination, humiliation, stockings/pantyhose. Then after that I'd go down the category list and picked whatever categories I was interested in. Then I narrowed down what categories and the style of clips I did based on what clips sold the most in my stores.

I'm going to bump a few threads for new members looking for specific content and may not know how to find it. It's no secret that the onsite search option is extremely limited. Therefore I suggest using Google before starting a new thread to ask a question. Most likely it's been asked and answered over a hundred times. Researching and learning how to fine tune your skills will help you succeed in most any industry.
You can use Google to search the contents of Stripperweb by typing in:
"Stripperweb + Camming + Newbie"
"Stripperweb + Best Camsites"
"Stripperweb + Clipsites"
"Stripperweb + Camming Connection + Burnout"
Google will give you a list of all the most pertinent threads.

I know this response is hella late, but this is such great advice on doing market research and finding niches that work for you. I think doing this kind of research is helpful in any industry, but especially ours which relies on specific language and actions depending on the fetish!

Speaking of content, apparently, in China there are content creator... factories. Wtf I took a minute to process what I saw in this clip:
https://new.reddit.com/r/interesting...tory_in_china/
I wonder how much they are being paid (or how little), it's fucking terrifying to watch, I mean... cam studios in EE and SA are suddenly the peak of luxury and working conditions, if we compare.

I ain't going to lie. That was freaking terrifying! I am so confused how that would even work though? There is no soundproofing. You'd think every mic would pick up the background conversation of everyone else.
