minimum internet speed to achieve good stream?
Hi girls! I have super fast internet but soon will be in situation going from place to place.I don't want to get into details however must be camming all this time and need to know what internet speed is an absolute minimum to achieve good stream?
Anyone who knows for sure - thank you very much!!
Re: minimum internet speed to achieve good stream?
I would say 2mb upload speed as a minimum. If you're split camming or using SM broadcaster you will need a lot more than that. I used to be on shitty shitty copper wire asdl broadband here i nthe UK and only got 0.78 upload. I just about managed to cam but had lots of issues with lag. Wherever you are order the BEST and FASTEST interenet package you can get.. don't worry about download, it's upload you need to care about x

Re: minimum internet speed to achieve good stream?
Its more the distance between you and seattle.
Coming from the UK. There is a data point that slows my connection down in colarado. So I had to use a vpn to route via Bahamas up through california then to seattle. My 100mb down and 15up slows to about 50down 8up with the distance.
Re: minimum internet speed to achieve good stream?
I have 0.92 of upload speed and I can stream fine on 1 site. Its not excellent stream and I stream on lower settings but it goes. I can't get faster internet where I live now..I was thinking about renting an apartment with fiber optic super fast internet so I could splitcam on at least 4-5 sites at one time and achieve very good stream+ have a special room just for camming, but I'm not sure if it would be worth to invest (I would have to pay a rent+ drive at least 60 km every day).
Gosh, I just had to add..my friend who lives in the fiber optic area, has upload 50 for the same price as I have my internet, and she doesnt need or use it! Life just isnt fair sometimes...lol
