GALLAGHERS 2000: Notice of Class Action Settlement
NOTICE OF PROPOSED SETTLEMENT OF CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND FAIRNESS HEARING
Case No. 601005/2014
IN RE GALLAGHERS LITIGATION
IF YOU WORKED FOR GALLAGHERS 2000 BETWEEN MARCH 2008 AND 2015 AS A DANCER OR ENTERTAINER, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE MONEY FROM A SETTLEMENT FUND.
Individuals who currently or formerly worked at Gallaghers 2000 and related entities (“Gallaghers 2000”) as dancers or entertainers filed a lawsuit to recover allegedly unpaid wages and gratuities for themselves and for other individuals who they claim also worked at Gallaghers 2000 as dancers/entertainers. If you worked at Gallaghers 2000 as a dancer or entertainer between March 1, 2008 and November 30, 2015, you are eligible to participate in a settlement. To participate, you can visit to find out more about the settlement or lawsuit.
Pursuant to the term of a proposed settlement, Gallaghers 2000 has agreed to create a settlement fund that will be used to make payments to individuals who were dancers/entertainers at Gallaghers 2000 at any time between March 1, 2008 and November 30, 2015. These individuals are eligible to participate in the settlement if they timely and properly complete and return a valid Claim Form and Release. Applicable forms can be obtained by calling (888) 428-6631 or (516) 873-9550. You can also find information about the settlement by visiting . Filing a claim form will not create a public record of your participation in the settlement or your work as a dancer/entertainer at Gallaghers 2000, nor will it prevent you from working at Gallaghers 2000 or any other club in the future.
If you do not wish to participate in the settlement, but want to keep the right to sue Gallaghers 2000 on your own about the legal issues in this case, or which could have been brought in this case, then you must take steps to exclude yourself from this lawsuit and settlement. If you do not exclude yourself, but wish to object to the settlement or any aspect of the settlement, you may do so by submitting a written objection to the Administrator of the settlement. You can visit to find out how to properly exclude yourself from the settlement and the case, or to find out how to properly object to the settlement.
A Fairness Hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on March 31, 2016 before Nassau County Supreme Court Judge Roy S. Mahon to determine whether final approval of the settlement and the amount of reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs and service awards should be granted. Judge Mahon has not made any substantive decision on any issues in the case, including as to whether the claims have any merit or as to whether a class or collective action would be allowed to proceed. Gallaghers 2000 has denied and continues to deny that it violated the law or that it owes any dancers/entertainers wages and gratuities. Gallaghers further believes that it has consistently acted in accordance with all governing laws at all times. However, solely to avoid the burden, expense, inconvenience, and uncertainty of continued litigation, Gallaghers 2000 concluded that it is in its best interests to resolve and settle the lawsuit, without admitting any wrongdoing or liability, and by entering into a settlement agreement.
Please visit for the applicable forms, submission deadlines, and more information. You may also contact the law firm of Leeds Brown Law P.C. (516) 873-9550 who have been designated by the Court as legal counsel to represent the Plaintiffs and settlement class. Contacting them is free, as they will seek to be paid out of the Settlement.

Recent events have exposed just how imbalanced the results of these cases have been, with their attorneys getting the vast majority of the benefits of these cases, and comparatively minimal dancer’s awards, and, even worse for the dancers, exposing them to having to provide personal financial records and sworn statements that reveal frequently questionable income tax and other personal issues about individual dancers that they would rather not have to admit, especially “under oath.”
