There are alot of threads on lighting >>https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/se...archid=1596134<<. But anyways I use pro lighting. I got a fluorescent lighting kit from www.skaeser.com but its not longer available. There are a lot of cheaper options on Amazon(which I wish I knew). I recently got 2 small pro lights from Cowboy Studio, which are good if you're looking for lights that don't take up as much space. I think very few ladies use ring lights >>Experience with Ring Lights?<<. Quite a few ladies use pro lights but some use regular everyday lamps.
I use literally my two nightlamps and a desk lamp I aim at the wall to light me more softly. My lighting is good but inflexible; it basically only works in my bedroom. I have difficulty moving around and lighting properly. But now that I have a PC and can adjust my Logitech settings more easily it's less of an issue.
Soft boxes.
My only experience with lighting has been with an umbrella light kit, and I am constantly struggling to find lighting that I like. Looking back I wish I had gotten a kit of soft boxes.
***Side Note: ****
Please be careful with your lighting. Accidents happen. I had my lights plugged in for less than 20 minutes when one of the lights fell over. It broke in half and immediately CAUGHT FIRE!!
I use two softboxes in front of me
(and the ceilinglamp + a floorlamp for more depth)
thinking about getting a really small 3th softbox to light out my face/eyes
(I have no exp with umbrella lightning... I have been a diy lightkit camgirl, it was a pita, I ma so glad I invested in prof lightning as soon as I could.. saves me a lot of time=money)
I have used the umbrella kits but i think im going to try the soft boxes and see how they look. The bulbs on my umbrella lights would burn out too quickly and took up alot of room so im looking to try something else.
i have one soft box and one umbrella, my umbrella is too harsh for my skin tone though so im switching to those tall ikea lamps with warm bulbs. my cam space is the saize of a small walk in wardrobe and my skin is pretty pasty so i need more warm!
^ I tend to think of the ring light as frosting on the cake once you have a proper lighting setup. I say that because replacing the bulb for a ring light can be a pain in the ass, and some of them get very hot compared to amount of light they emit. The whole point of the ring light is to give your face a pretty glow and put a sparkle in your eyes. If you cover it with paper, you lose that effect. If you're just looking to get a lot of light, you get more bang for your buck with almost anything else. If you feel that your current lighting is adequate, get the ring light as an additional effect. If not, get the soft box.
I just bought a ring light and I'm so excited :D for the last 3 years Ive used my cheap pro kit I got off amazon. It's a great kit despite the low price and the ring light will just add that extra awesomeness! It's a neweer, so less expensive than the diva which I can't get here in UK anyway. I could have made my own but it wold be such a faff it's easier just to buy x
Have you all noticed a difference in your earnings with better lighting? or has it stayed the same, but made you feel better live on cam?? x
I use two white umbrella lights.
At the moment I'm using to big led globe bulbs in a neutral 15 watt (eqv 90w) each and I'm very happy with them. They cast a nice all round light kinda like moonlight.
I'm going get some in a warm shade next & see which I prefer.
I find that my pictures come out with a funny tinge when I use warmer bulbs & the blue tone are just horrible on my skin tone.
I also use two small table lamps at the back of me on either side with two little pink pygmy bulbs which I really like. They don't caste much of a pink glow because they're only 25 watt incandescent but because the bulbs are so tiny you don't get that horrible glare out of the top of the lamp & they look nice on cam and in pictures & just add that extra warmth because I have white walls.
