Congratulations! I wish you many many many $1000+ shifts!
Congrats! Always appreciate those nights. I didn't remember my first $1000 night, but I miss those days bc now it's not as easy to come across! Lol
Aww, this thread put a smile on my face. I didn't have a $1000 night until I had been dancing for a couple years...it was my first night at my current club after many months of scraping by at dives. Packed Saturday night and I was on fire. Had no idea how much I was making, went out for food afterwards with a coworker and counted my money on the table at the restaurant, lol! I could hardly believe it, at the time I was convinced I didn't deserve to make that kind of money!
I don't remember how long it took me, but it took a while. I work in Detroit which is filled with extras girls and there are only two non-extras clubs in the area with money potential. I had only a few 1000+ nights until I started working at one of the non-extras clubs and started to make 1000+ more nights than not. I had a had several great regulars then, without them that club was a miserable ghost town. Now I'm at one of the least fancy clubs I've ever worked at, there is no private VIP, yet it gets busy and 1000+ nights are very feasible, especially on weekends and our sports team home games.
I only did it once 2 or 3 months into dancing. My shift was 8pm to 5am and I didn't make anything until after 10. It was actually a crappy night for most girls and I was getting cranky myself when I approached a middle-aged group bachelor party thinking if anyone had money it would be them and you know how it goes from there.
I posted this in another thread...
"I suppose I'm one of the few in this industry who makes very consistent money. I've only made $1k+ once in my entire dancing career (the only shift I worked in an upscale club). But I've also never left with less than a $10/hour average (think: dive during a winter storm in the upper Midwest), and I rarely make less than a $75/hour average. I routinely make ~$100-$150/hour - that's my 'normal'."
I'd rather be someone who makes money consistently rather than enduring extreme highs and lows. I should clarify that I only work 4-5-hour shifts, and I work in a mid-tier club, so $800+ nights are not common for me.
Remember to calculate your earnings based on your hourly averages. I'm sure I could 'average' $1k+ regularly if I worked 8+ hour shifts, but I'd also want to kill myself within the week.
It probably took me like 2 years to break 1000 because of the clubs I was working at and my inexperience. I wasn't working in the best city and wasn't working at the best clubs in that city. Once I started working at the right clubs I could break 1000 more often. The club I work at now is upscale and breaking 1000 can be done without too much work if you meet the right customers. I mean two of the pricier VIP rooms and you'll have a grand right there. But the downside is if you don't get a guy in VIP then you could get screwed. So no i'm definitely not breaking 1000 every night but it happens a lot more often than it used to.
I started breaking $1000 on the weekends within my first few months of dancing.. In the south but it was a military club so it usually happened on pay weeks (weekends 2x a month).
Now im in NYC upscale club and I do that regularly. Our VIPs are expensive! Pretty much everyone I know $1000 is their goal if not more.
Broke 1K on my third night of stripping, but granted it was in Manhattan. And I had gone from a dive club to an upscale one. Def was an o_O moment, couldn't sleep well for days I was so excited lol. And then I started breaking 1K very often and got used to it, hah (as in I didn't get super excited anymore and almost took it for granted) Guess you can really get used to anything.
I started making 1K my fourth week of dancing after changing clubs. It was a Sunday night and I was ectastic after realizing I have hustle potential. After that, fridays and sundays became a 1K guarantee. I sort of took it for granted at times but it never went bad. I'm not an extras girl so the others automatically assumed me off doing extras. I had fun, but unfortunately left as the club I worked in soon became a dive.
My 1st 1K night was a nice guy in the Air Force who was way into me. He blew a bunch of money on me as a gift to himself for a promotion.
I've only had a couple 1K nights, my career average is around $150-$400 a night.
I remember my first time breaking 1,000 in a night. I was so happy, I cried tears of joy on the way home. Such a good feeling to have worked and worked and worked and finally hit a 4 digit number!
Where would you suggest in NYC? I worked at Sapphire for a few days over winter break but I was too burnt out to make money and there didn't seem to be much outside the private rooms. I got turned down by Ricks even though during my audition an older man came up to me smiling and charmed and who made it clear he wanted to spend time with me.
My normal club is in Austin, Texas P10 North and I make over a grand every Friday, no doubt. I'm not blonde but I'm an engineer and we're in a major tech center so it works well. Last weekend I made 4k after moving 2 of my regulars to Thursday night and working 7:30 to 3:30 both Friday and Saturday.
I think I have been lucky and spoiled. Ive made 1000+ quick and easy from the get-go. I've noticed that my best nights typically include A) me having a good attitude B) being outgoing and willing to approach every customer (A &B affect one another obviously) and C)planning my night with a diverse method of income i.e., selling private dances, regular dances, Champagne, and stage money. Even if you can't close within a few minutes, plant the seed, walk away, and let it sit. Don't get salty if you can't close immediately..and if you've done your job & the customer likes you, he may pull some cash from the ATM that night or come back at a later date
Congrats!! It took me a few months before I broke 1,000 if I recall correctly. And every time it happens its because I had a realllly good regular come in plus a good new customer to top it up. But I'm guilty of almost never working longer than a 4 hour shift so I wonder if it might happen way more often if I put in 6-8 hours or so. Surprisingly enough, I no longer have regular customers but I'm having way more lucrative shifts the older I get (mid thirties) after having a baby. I think it's my new and improved work ethic, knowing I HAVE to bank or else the whole night is a waste.
The first time I ever broke $1k was about 3 years into dancing when I stopped working at rinky-dink little dives and started working at more upscale clubs and I made $2200. Now I'm 7 years in and regularly break $1k, occasionally break $1500, and consistently make anywhere from $500-800. I work in an area with a lot of tourism, though, and so I have virtually no regulars.
I broke the mark 1.5 mo. Into dancing. A guy I literally put no time into just grabbed me and took me VIP for 3 hours. It was fucking awesome. The guy didn't try to convince me to see him otc, or try to touch the pus... I left floating on a cloud. I wished it happened early in the night, I was so in the vortex I feel like I would've made even more.
A little over one year of dancing, I broke 1000. This was last night!
Too bad I only have one more shift left before I'm done... I think because I'm leaving everyone is trying to get a lot of dances from me. I've been doing really well the past few weeks, lol I'm going to miss the cashflow.
Congrats! The first time I broke $1000 was about 2 months in as well......on a Sunday day shift (!!!)
About half the money came from this guy who I really thought didn't even like me, lol. Ah, the good old days...
wooooooo! that's so exciting! I recently just hit my $1000+ goal (I've only been dancing 5 months) and realized it's a lot easier and more achievable than once thought! Sending lotsa $$$$ your way :D
