How old is it?
Try using a different usb port and check the cord so you could stabilize the possible weak part. If neither are the issue, better start saving up for a new cam. Mine started flickering like two months before it died (well, technically it's still working, but the image got fucked up beyond recognition). It was like 2 years old.
What do you mean flickering? both mine have been changing colors I guess you can say when I move around. Is that what you mean? or something else?
Deactivate the RightLight option maybe? in advanced settings
If it is ONLY happening on Streamate using the FMLE encoder, I swear it is some weirdass encoder thing. The SM Broadcaster hates me, so I use the encoder, but I sometimes get a flicker. It isn't too bad, only 1 or 2 guys have ever mentioned it, but it doesn't happen on other sites, on Skype shows, or when filming clips.
Mine has been doing this weird purple flicker when I move, too. Not the entire picture, but just around parts of my body or the background. I only got mine in December though. Someone said might be problem with autofocus, but I have Mac and don't have the software to turn off autofocus.
Thankyou for the replies. It is not old. few months. And yes its only on SM with the broadcaster. I have two relatively new cams. They both do the same thing. I wonder if it is because I move it too much when I work.
It is not changing colors. Not sure how to explain it. There are these black lines almost (horizontal or vertical, I forgot ) that are intermittent.
It only does it when I broadcast in GOLD show(and some privates) and not all the time.
I just saw a youtube video this guys said it might have to do with the exposure.
Maybe exposure + SM broadcaster being on...
Like I did not have enough problems, now this LOL
This happened to my back up camera. It would flicker, and then the image would cut out completely. Sadly, whenever this happened it meant that my webcam was not recognized by the computer. As such, I had to reconnect it. I would recommend saving up for a new one and using this one as your backup. It's only a matter of time before it dies.
Do you use the Logitech program to change the configurations/settings or something else? I doubt it would have any issues being only a few months old unless it was a damaged by being dropped or prior to delivery. If you have hooked in all the cams through various usb ports and still have flickering then its more than likely either the program or your computer. Moving too much, changing your contrast or exposure shouldn't cause the feed to flicker, have you tried doing a clean uninstall/reinstall of the program? If you have your exposure setting max it can slow down the stream quality and cause things to look shifty/lag, but personally never encountered this. When you have the broadcaster up does the flickering get worse when you open other programs like Chrome and what does your CPU percentage fluctuate to?
just wanted to update that I chose 1600 x 896 (instead of 1920 x 1080) and that fixed the problem.
