Off line payments
Hi all,
again in sorry for the stupid questions here, I have borrowed it down to either setting up my website via Wix or Wordpress and having the Wordpress hosted by dream host. Now both although for an Ecwid store to be added on the site which is just amazing as it can be free too. They have a good list of payment processors to chose from, note that the ones I recognise are not adult friendly Ie PayPal. It also give the option of offline payments so with this has anyone set up a business bank account and asked clients to pay into that via bank transfer? At least this will be secure as they can't take money out of the account and if they claim it to be fraud then by God I know that the banks will investigate down to when the person claiming fraud went to the bathroom.
So so thoughts on this? If offline is not possible then are there any options on their list that are, it does also give the option to write your own processor but I would need a techy for that cos I sure as hell ain't one!!!

Re: Off line payments
I think it's best to go with a payment processor. You can do your homework and try and apply for one that accepts adult high risk, or you can use sites like www.cammdodeldirectory.com Mark keeps 20-25% for using his adult merchant account. You can also use the platform for selling shows to his clientele straight to your skype account.
I wouldn't go through the hassle of creating a business account just to 'cover your tracks' unless you've already set up an LLC or intend to because it won't hide your identity when it comes to fraud. Your personal information can still be viewed if the buyer were to do some digging as he has your personal account information. If fraud is to occur, your identity will be exposed to the buyer. I've known banks to even go as far as looking at ATM video footage of you take cash out of your account. Just go with a processor with a 3rd party biller for a 15-25% cut, or use your own biller at 2.9% or less.
As for a website I suggest going with WP. Very easy back end that you can learn to tweak and edit yourself.

Re: Off line payments
Awesome choice with wordpress and dreamhost :) I would suggest webstream.co.uk software. You can put buttons on your site for donations (goes straight to pay form) from which they take 15%, or for live pay per min cam (using justcamit or flash media encoder) or phone chat (routed through their system) from which they take 20%. Webstream will even create you a site for free if you want it x
